So, I had this dream about eight years ago while I was attending a Christian college. Though I don't remember most of what I dreamt that night, what I do remember are the last few minutes of the dream before I awoke; well, just some details, anyhow. But it was extremely meaningful to me, such that upon awakening, I went down to the basement of the dormitory for some privacy to put the dream to writing. I did not want to disturb my sleeping roommates. There were too many details to sort through at the time for me to record it. After my failed attempt at writing it down, I decided that God didn't want me to write it down. But now, as I have lost many memories and images, what remains in my mind of the dream are the bare bones or skeleton of the dream. The setting took place deep within the underground of the earth's crust. I was with hundreds of christians and we were moving, walking, travelling upward and through many passageways trying to reach the earth's surface. Though there was an urgency to reach freedom, we were not panicked and there was no feeling of claustrophobia. We were calm, excited and in expectation of something new and profound. The passageways, at this point in the dream, were not tunnels of earthen construction, but they were of modern materials and construction. And I wouldn't even classify the different areas as tunnels because there was an openness to them hard to describe. There was no modern electrical lighting, but we could see perfectly. As we were travelling upward, we used stairs, ladders, and eventually modern things like escalators and elevators. The weird thing is the passageways or tunnels always seemed to be open on at least one side so we could see eachother on different portions of our trip to the surface. You see, this marvellous working underground structure was like a mechanical, working clock lifting the christians out of the depths of the earth. At some point in our journey, the christians began to subdivide into different groups. I saw these red-blood-cell type of constructions, and I knew by instinct that the different groups of christians landed into each their own individual cell. The different cells were connected by long artery looking vessels. Upon entering a cell with fellow believers, I noticed that our cell was like a vast cathedral with human flesh and bones for walls. It wasn't grose or gory-bloody to be in such a place. It felt natural, dry, and comfortable to be there, like being in your own skin. The lighting was crisp and clean. The area was open. The scene changed, and we were all seated comfortably on the ground and Jesus in bodily form was at the front of the congregation teaching us. His words were pounding their way into my heart like a war drum without the commotion or sound. Maybe the war drum was my heart responding to His words. His words were complete peace pouring into the depths of my spirit. Jesus' message was single and eternal. Everyone was moved by His words and eventually more people started to enter our cell. I noticed there were many types of 'new' arrivals. People with tatoos, spiked hair, and rough looking clothes found their place at the feet of Jesus. NO ONE was concerned about petty issues that seem to divide people these days. The scene changed. I found myself mingling and talking with the other people in our cell. We were standing at this point and Jesus was no where to be seen. The lighting in our cell started to go dim, and it became harder and harder to see each other's faces. At one point, my roomate finds me and starts to talk to me. My roommate, not his typical self, is a young boy. I slowly come awake from my dream, and I hear the same roommate who was in my dream talking in his sleep. He is repeating himself saying, "IT IS JESUS! IT IS JESUS!" And that was my dream.
