You know what is actually very obvious.....

Daniel 12:4 reads:
But thou, O Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.

Revelation 10:2,10,11 says:
And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth,
And I took the little book out of the angel's hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.
And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.

Revelation 22:10
And he saith unto me, Seal not the sayings of the prophecy of this book: for the time is at hand.
Not the Church. No way, no how.

Zec 2:8
For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.

Zec 2:9
For, behold, I will shake mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me.

Zec 2:10
Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORD.

Zec 2:12
And the LORD shall inherit Judah his portion in the holy land, and shall choose Jerusalem again.

Rev 3:10
'Because thou didst keep the word of my endurance, I also will keep thee from the hour of the trial that is about to come upon all the world, to try those dwelling upon the earth.

That's everybody. Which did not happen ever in all of post-flood history.
And YES, these are the days which comport with Genesis 6, Genesis 19 and other similar Biblical scenarios.

Mat 24:37
and as the days of Noah -- so shall be also the presence of the Son of Man;

Luk 17:26
'And, as it came to pass in the days of Noah, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of Man;

Luk 17:28
in like manner also, as it came to pass in the days of Lot; they were eating, they were drinking, they were buying, they were selling, they were planting, they were building;

Luk 17:29
and on the day Lot went forth from Sodom, He rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed all.

****************************************************************

Some of us DO in fact know the signs of the times. And prepare accordingly.

Never a bad idea to prepare for the deeds of evil men in high places.
But God dealt with those that scoffed and scorned HIM, the Lord and Saviour in the first century.

Jesus turned and said to them, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me; weep for yourselves and for your children.
Luke 23:28

This was a time of great upheaval and huge shift...... the end of the Mosaic age to the New Covenant in Christ!!

“Jerusalem, Jerusalem, you who kill the prophets and stone those sent to you, how often I have longed to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were not willing.
Matthew 23:37

It is all right there, the words, the parables most all, is telling this story of the coming judgement.

Been dealt with on a different thread over and over again.
I come back to it later and put an to end this false interpretation and application.

You basically bypassed God's own words in Revelation written to His audience at that time, to whom the letter was delivered along the trade routes. btw.

Wrong. Revelation was written in 92-ish AD.
"SHALL COME" does not mean "HAS COME".
"ALL THE WORLD" does not mean a tiny spit of land on the eastern Mediterranean.

Rev 3:10
Because thou hast kept the word of my patience, I also will keep thee from the hour of temptation, which shall G3195 come upon all the world, to try them that dwell upon the earth.

The KJV translates Strong's G3195 in the following manner: shall (25x), should (20x), would (9x), to come (9x), will (7x), things to come (4x), not translated (3x), miscellaneous (33x).

A strengthened form of μέλει (G3199) (through the idea of expectation)

Plenty of internal and external evidence that it was written prior to 70AD.

I am not going to put to much stock in the testimony of Irenaeus.

The Iran Threat Architecture That Made Conflict Inevitable

Three capabilities, developing in parallel, constituted an intolerable convergence for US and Israeli strategic planners.

Nuclear: By May-June 2025, Iran’s stockpile of 60% enriched uranium had grown to 400+ kilograms — material for approximately 10 nuclear explosive devices. ISIS assessed the formal breakout timeline as effectively zero. Iran had also enriched small quantities to near-weapons-grade (90%) at Fordow. The program was weeks, not months, from weapons-ready capability.

Proxy Network: Hezbollah (150,000+ rockets pre-2024), Hamas (operational capacity proven October 7, 2023), Houthis (shut down Red Sea shipping for over a year), Iraqi PMF (killed US troops repeatedly) showed Iran has the ability to impose costs across five countries simultaneously without direct Iranian attribution.

Hormuz Control: Iran controls the world’s most critical oil chokepoint by geography alone. With 20 million barrels per day transiting the strait (20% of global seaborne oil) the mere threat of Iranian action was sufficient to discipline global oil markets. Actual closure would be an economic weapon of mass destruction.

The convergence of all three (nuclear capability at threshold, proxy network at peak, Hormuz leverage intact) at the same moment created the strategic logic for preemption before any one of the three became impossible to address.

Even the Soviets refused to back Iran. Too batcrap crazy.
And the Gulf States likewise thought that the real threat was Iran.
As they surely do now.

**********************************************************

During the Iran-Iraq War (1980-1988), several international actors, including the Soviet Union, France, and Gulf states like Saudi Arabia and Kuwait, provided significant military, financial, or diplomatic support to Iraq under Saddam Hussein rather than to Iran. This alignment was driven by a combination of geopolitical fears, strategic interests, economic motivations, and ideological concerns, particularly the perceived threat posed by Iran's revolutionary Shia Islamism under Ayatollah Khomeini. Below, I'll break down the key reasons for each group's support, based on historical context.

Gulf States (e.g., Saudi Arabia, Kuwait)The Sunni Arab monarchies in the Persian Gulf viewed Iran's post-1979 Islamic Revolution as an existential threat. Khomeini's regime actively promoted exporting its revolutionary ideology, which emphasized Shia empowerment and anti-monarchical sentiments, potentially inciting unrest among the Shia populations in these countries (e.g., Saudi Arabia's Eastern Province had a significant Shia minority). A victorious Iran could dominate the Gulf region, control oil routes like the Strait of Hormuz, and destabilize their regimes. To counter this, Gulf states provided billions in financial aid to Iraq—estimated at over $30 billion from Saudi Arabia and Kuwait alone—to bolster Saddam's war effort and prevent Iranian expansion.

britannica.com
This support was also pragmatic: Iraq served as a buffer state against Iran, and Saddam's secular Ba'athist regime was seen as more predictable and less ideologically aggressive toward them than Khomeini's theocracy.

Soviet Union
The USSR, Iraq's primary arms supplier (providing over 90% of its weapons imports during the war), initially adopted a neutral stance and even tilted toward Iran in the early years (1980-1982) by limiting arms to Iraq and maintaining diplomatic overtures to Tehran.

en.wikipedia.org
However, as Iran made territorial gains into Iraq by 1982 and refused peace overtures, Moscow shifted decisively to support Baghdad with massive arms shipments, including tanks, aircraft, and missiles.

en.wikipedia.org
Key reasons included:
  • Strategic alliance preservation: Iraq was a long-standing Soviet client state since the 1970s, with a friendship treaty in place. The USSR feared losing influence if Saddam's regime fell or pivoted fully to the West (which was also supporting Iraq).

    en.wikipedia.org
  • Regional stability concerns: A radical Iranian victory could destabilize the Middle East, spread Islamist unrest near Soviet borders (e.g., in Central Asia with Muslim populations), and encourage anti-Soviet movements. Supporting Iraq also helped the USSR gain favor with other Arab states, leading to new diplomatic ties (e.g., with Oman, UAE, and arms deals with Kuwait).

    en.wikipedia.org
  • Geopolitical balancing: The war was inconvenient for Moscow, but backing the more conciliatory side (Iraq after 1982) aligned with Soviet interests in preventing U.S. dominance in the Gulf.

    merip.org
By 1986, with further Iranian advances, Soviet aid intensified to avert Iraq's collapse.

en.wikipedia.org
France
France emerged as Iraq's second-largest arms supplier after the Soviet Union, providing advanced weaponry like Mirage fighter jets, Exocet missiles, Super Etendard aircraft, and Roland air defense systems—often higher-tech than Soviet equivalents.

en.wikipedia.org
This support was primarily driven by economic interests: Arms sales to Iraq generated billions in revenue during a period of French economic challenges, with deals often including favorable loans or oil-for-arms barter arrangements. Geopolitically, France sought to counter Iran's revolutionary influence, which was seen as destabilizing to French interests in the Middle East and Africa (where Iran supported anti-colonial movements). Paris also aimed to maintain balance in the region, viewing Saddam's Iraq as a secular counterweight to Khomeini's theocracy, and aligned with broader Western efforts to contain Iran amid the U.S. hostage crisis and anti-Western rhetoric from Tehran.

britannica.com
In summary, these supporters prioritized containing Iran's revolutionary zeal over any affinity for Iraq itself, fearing that an Iranian win would reshape the Middle East in ways that threatened their security, economies, or influence. This international backing enabled Iraq's counteroffensives from 1987 onward, ultimately contributing to the war's stalemate.

Donald may have bit off more that he can chew. Iran is not a Big Mac
OK, I'm confused. In one post someone said that Trump is fighting this war so that he could get Epstein files off the front page. If that was the goal he already has a win.

In another post we hear that the true motive is to give profit to the military industrial complex. If that is the goal, he has already won.

Others say that the goal is to test out AI in combat. If that is the goal he has already won.

Trump says the goal is to keep Iran from getting a nuclear bomb. Do you have knowledge that Iran has the bomb and so Trump can't win in that case?

Then of course there are others like myself who say this is prophetic fulfillment, and in those prophecies Trump is not the winner. So are you agreeing with me?
