SOP šŸ˜‚ do you mean the writings of false prophets? You know Jesus warned about those.
  1. Matthew 23:13: "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you shut the kingdom of heaven in people’s faces. You yourselves do not enter, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in."
  2. Matthew 23:27: "Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! For you are like whitewashed tombs, which on the outside appear beautiful, but inside are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness."
  3. Matthew 23:34–36: Jesus warns that they will be held accountable for the blood of all the prophets, culminating in His lament over Jerusalem: "Jerusalem, Jerusalem, who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, and you were unwilling."

Yes ! This experience and understanding of "resting IN Jesus" or "Jesus is my Sabbath Rest" is very profound, and inherently spiritually subjective. You can't really express it with words, like trying to expressing verbally the taste of chocolate. It's the same as the experience of Gal 2:20. which leads to repentance, salvation, obedience, sanctification ~~> glorification, IN CHRIST. I'm just experiencing the Sabbath a bit different that you are understanding, I believe .. !:-) ... but not sure ... being "a spiritual matter"

Here's a VERY pertinent video teaching, from Michael McCaffery, I highly recommend all his video production as been in line with Christ and His Righteousness.
The Gospel of Rest – Part 1: The Sign of Faith
+++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I think we are experiencing the same Sabbath, just calling it different things. Most people who use Jesus is my Sabbath rest, means it deletes the 4th commandment, you and I both know thats not true, nor is there one verse in all of the Bible that says this. Why I like to stick with how the Bible says things- Christ is the rest giver, He is Lord of the Sabbath, not that He is the Sabbath, considering its a commandment and Jesus is not a commandment. It’s probably semantics between the two of us but with others it means totally different things. God bless my friend. 🩷

So I’m a Pharisee or hypocrite because I call out Ellen White as a false prophet? OkšŸ™„. Her writings aren’t authoritative and they contradict scripture in many ways.

ā€œLong ago, at many times and in many ways, God spoke to our fathers by the prophets, but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed the heir of all things, through whom also he created the world.ā€
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭1‬:‭1‬-‭2‬ ‭ESV‬‬

She’s not a prophet.

And also if you want to honor God, Matthew 6 teaches to pray in secret, not announce to the whole forum that you are going to get on your knees.

A hard day of work is over and I’m headed out to throw a big steak on the grill and get my coffee ready for tomorrow morning.

first the covenant is defined by God as the ten commandments

we have discussed all this before and I explained all of this before in great detail, and No I am not a legalist far from it.
So the covenant to you is nothing more than a set of rules? If that were the case then there would be no reason to shed blood in order to establish it. To the ancients, blood represented the life of a person's. Thus when two people make a marriage covenant they are bind themselves together life-to-life so that their separate lives become ONE. The apostle John also describes our covenant union with Christ using the image of a Vine and its branches. We experience UNION with the Vine because we share His life. This metaphor reaches its deepest expression when the Savior shared wine with His disciples and called it "His blood" to show that they would enter into a New Covenant with their Lord:

19And He took the bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, ā€œThis is My body, given for you; do this in remembrance of Me.ā€ 20 In the same way, after supper He took the cup, saying, ā€œThis cup is the NEW COVENANT IN MY BLOOD, which is poured out for you.…"
(Luke 22:19-20)
Matthew's gospel says it this way.
27Then He took the cup, gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, ā€œDrink from it, all of you. 28 This is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.
(Matthew 26:27-28)

To enter into covenant with us, Jesus had to pay the ultimate price - an excruciating death on the cross and relinquishing the life He had. Unless He became the sacrifice we would not be cleansed so as to receive the Holy Spirit. You remind me of a bride who, on the night of her marriage spends her time reviewing the marriage contract rather than enjoying her bridegroom. The blood of the covenant is not just laws. It is the priceless ransom that Christ paid to buy us back or redeem us from Satan. The preciousness of union is what makes adultery is such a horribly grotesque sin - a mockery of the real meaning of what being "joined together" is supposed to signify.

The Apostle Peter, recalling when Jesus shed His blood, said this: …18 For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life you inherited from your forefathers, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or spot. 20 He was known before the foundation of the world, but was revealed in the last times for your sake.…(1 Peter 1:18-19)
But you seem oblivious to all this defining covenant as keeping the rules and you want to make sure other disciples are keeping the rules too. In this respect, you remind me of the Hasidim whom I used to call the "Shabbat Cops" for their zealous attempts to force Shabbat keeping on others.

People who professed to be of God called Jesus insane and possessed by the devil they crucified Christ and Christ’s prophets and apostles. People got it so wrong before, they will get it wrong again. God will be all of our judges. He knows the wheat from the tares and there is nothing we can hide form Him Ecc12:13-14. EGW is not the authoritative, she doesn’t claim to be, she points everyone to the Bible and back to the word of God.

People take her writings to be authoritative whether she outright said it or not. She said the following:

ā€œThe Lord has given me a work to do in relation to the church… He has sent me messages to His people for their guidance and instruction.ā€

ā€œThe Lord revealed to me the truths that I was to bear to His people. I was directed to write what He showed me.ā€

ā€œI am commissioned by the Lord to bear messages to His people. They are not my ideas, but the ideas given me by God.ā€

Would you say she’s claiming to be a prophet?

She contradicts scripture in her sabbath claims, works-based righteousness claims, living without sinning claims, and her dumb health and vegetarian diet rules.

Would you agree she is a false prophet?

She claims she’s a messenger and she always says she is not the authoritative, God is, everthing must be tested by the word of God she said even her own writings.

Perhaps she is not the one that is false, but those teaching not to obey the law of God, which is what the Scripture warns of.

Isa 8:20 To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.

Most people quote her out of context much like they do the Scriptures.

Even if Ellen White called herself ā€œa messenger,ā€ her writings claim divine authority and guide followers like a prophet. Scripture warns that false prophets can do the same (Deuteronomy 13:1–3; Matthew 7:15–20). Her teachings on Sabbath for Gentiles, works-based salvation, sinless perfection, and mandatory diet contradict Scripture (Galatians 5:18; Romans 6:14; Hebrews 1:1–2). Saying ā€œtest by the Wordā€ doesn’t change that SDA practice treats her counsel as binding. By the Bible’s standard, her contradictions make her a false prophet, and true obedience flows from Christ, not human rules.

For example this false claim

No—Ellen G. White consistently rejected works-based righteousness and strongly taught that salvation is only through Christ’s righteousness, not through human works. However, she also taught that true faith produces obedience, which sometimes causes people to misunderstand her writings.
Here are the key ideas from her writings, compared with Scripture.

1. She clearly said we are not saved by our works
She repeatedly wrote that salvation cannot be earned.
Example:

ā€œThere is not a point that needs to be dwelt upon more earnestly… than the impossibility of fallen man meriting anything by his own best good works.ā€
— Faith and Works, p. 19
Another statement:
ā€œWe have no righteousness of our own with which to meet the claims of the law of God. But Christ has made a way of escape for us.ā€
— Steps to Christ, p. 62
This agrees with passages like:
Ephesians 2:8-9 — ā€œBy grace are ye saved through faith… not of works.ā€
Romans 3:20 — ā€œBy the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified.ā€
2. She taught righteousness comes only from Christ
She emphasized that Christ’s righteousness must be credited to the believer.
ā€œThe righteousness by which we are justified is imputed; the righteousness by which we are sanctified is imparted.ā€
— Review and Herald, June 4, 1895
This reflects the biblical teaching:
Romans 4:5–6 – righteousness imputed by faith
Philippians 3:9 – ā€œnot having mine own righteousnessā€
3. Where confusion happens: she stressed obedience after salvation
She strongly emphasized obedience to God's law (including the Sabbath), but she did not present obedience as the basis of salvation.
She wrote:

ā€œObedience is the fruit of faith.ā€
— Steps to Christ, p. 60
This matches Scripture:
1 John 3:7 – ā€œHe that doeth righteousness is righteous.ā€
James 2:17 – faith without works is dead.
So in her framework:
Stage What happens
Justification Christ’s righteousness credited to us
Sanctification Christ’s righteousness lived out in us
Works Evidence of true faith
4. The 1888 emphasis
After the 1888 Minneapolis meetings, she strongly supported the message of righteousness by faith preached by
Alonzo T. Jones
Ellet J. Waggoner.
She even wrote:
ā€œThe Lord in His great mercy sent a most precious message to His people through Elders Waggoner and Jones… This message was to bring more prominently before the world the uplifted Saviour.ā€
— Testimonies to Ministers, p. 91
āœ… Summary
Ellen White did not teach works-based righteousness.
She taught:
Salvation = grace through faith in Christ
Righteousness = Christ’s righteousness
Works = the fruit of genuine faith, not the cause of salvation.

Even if Ellen White called herself ā€œa messenger,ā€ her writings claim divine authority and guide followers like a prophet. Are you saying God lost His power to have people testify about Him? It’s not what the Bible teaches. Just because you don’t agree with her doesn’t make her teachings false, But by the definition of God said, what you are teaching that we do not have to keep the law of God does. Deut 13:1-3 Mat5:19 Isa8:20NKJV Mark15:3-14 Mark7:7-13

God will sort all this out, accusations are easy to make, many God professing people did so in the days of Jesus against Him and His prophets and apostles. Nothing new under the sun.

I’m not saying God lost His power to raise up witnesses, but Scripture is the ultimate standard for truth, not a human messenger. Hebrews 1:1-2 makes clear that God spoke through prophets in the past, but in these last days He has spoken through His Son. Ellen White’s writings must be tested against the Bible. When her claims about salvation, Sabbath for Gentiles, works-based righteousness, and sinless perfection contradict Scripture, calling her a false prophet is not an accusation, it is obeying God’s command in Deuteronomy 13:1-3 and Isaiah 8:20. Can you show a single place where she explicitly says her writings are not authoritative?

Here are her own words

1. The Bible is the only rule of faith and doctrine

She clearly stated that Scripture alone is the foundation for belief.

ā€œThe Bible, and the Bible alone, is to be our creed, the sole bond of union.ā€
— Review and Herald, Dec. 15, 1885
This shows she viewed the Bible as the authoritative standard, not her own writings.

2. Her writings were not given to replace Scripture

She explained that the purpose of her writings was to direct people to the Bible, not substitute for it.

ā€œThe testimonies are not to belittle the word of God, but to exalt it and attract minds to it.ā€
— Testimonies for the Church, vol. 5, p. 665
So her writings were meant to encourage people to study Scripture more deeply.

3. The Bible is the standard for testing all teachings

She emphasized that every teaching must be measured by Scripture.

ā€œThe word of God is the standard by which all teaching and experience must be tested.ā€
— The Great Controversy, p. 593
That means even claims of visions or prophetic messages must be evaluated by the Bible.

4. Her writings were given because people were neglecting the Bible

She explained that her testimonies were needed mainly because many believers were not studying Scripture as they should.

ā€œIf you had made God’s word your study… you would not have needed the Testimonies.ā€
— Testimonies for the Church, vol. 5, p. 665
This statement shows she believed Scripture itself was sufficient, and her writings served as a corrective when people neglected it.

āœ… Summary

According to Ellen White:

  • The Bible alone is the rule of faith.
  • Her writings do not replace Scripture.
  • All teachings must be tested by the Bible.
  • Her messages were meant to lead people back to God’s Word, not serve as the primary authority.

Jesus Himself said the Sabbath is for Gentiles-, you are not rejecting EGW- you are rejecting the words of our LORD

Isa 56:1 Thus says the Lord:
ā€œKeep justice, and do righteousness,
For My salvation is about to come,
And My righteousness to be revealed.
2 Blessed is the man who does this,
And the son of man who lays hold on it;
Who keeps from defiling the Sabbath
And keeps his hand from doing any evil.ā€

6 ā€œAlso the sons of the foreigner (Gentiles)
Who join themselves to the Lord, to serve Him,
And to love the name of the Lord, to be His servants—
Everyone who keeps from defiling the Sabbath,
And holds fast My covenant—

It’s not that our Lord and Savior was not clear on this matter, it’s our belif in His words. Not EGW, this is God directly speaking. Everyone means everyone but we can reject the invitation, I just would advise against so. Jesus who is God said the same thing the Sabbath is made for man- so unless you are not human the Sabbath is meant for you and everyone just as God stated plainly.

Psa 37:22 For those blessed by Him shall inherit the earth,
But those cursed by Him shall be cut off.

Once God blesses something its forever, man cannot reverse God’s blessing- God blessed the seventh day Sabbath and blesses man when we keep it, we can only forfeit our blessings one can take them away from God.

So not sure if you are actually reading my posts, but she has never said her writings are the standard for truth, you are making things up and than presenting it as a fact when its not. This is a false witness and it’s something I believe our LORD takes seriously. This sadly is a patten what people accuse others of is what they themselves are doing.

I see you trained your AI to select a verse and remove it from all its context, exactly what people do with the Scriptures. Doing this we can literally make anyone say anything, but it’s not the truth of what’s being stated. I would respond to everyone one of these or have AI do so to show the full picture but my guess it wouldn’t matter. If one won’t hear the LORDS own invite to join themselves to Him Isa56:6 Rev14:12 John15:10 John14:15-18 nothing that anyone else will say will matter. God will sort everything out in His time.

A true biblical prophet, according to the KJV Bible, must meet several criteria:

  1. Called by God (Jeremiah 1:5).
  2. Faithful to God’s Word (Isaiah 8:20; Deuteronomy 13:1-3).
  3. Accurate in their predictions (Deuteronomy 18:21-22).
  4. Leads people back to obedience to God (2 Chronicles 24:19; Malachi 4:5-6).
  5. Exhibits the fruits of the Spirit (Matthew 7:15-16; Galatians 5:22-23).
  6. Points people to Jesus Christ as the Savior (John 5:39; Revelation 19:10).
These characteristics are crucial to identifying true prophecy in the Bible, and they emphasize the call to obedience to God's law, particularly in these last days, as a sign of true prophecy and the work of the Holy Spirit.

Myself and a few tens of millions other people ( currently living), who have read Ellen Whites writing, know her to harmonize with scripture's "Religion of Obedience to God", while meeting ALL of the above 6 points. She is not the reason I'm a commandment keeper, but because I believe and have the Faith of Jesus. Rev. 14:7 ... I KNOW she is a Prophet of God, because by her writings, which were inspired by the Holy Spirit, by which I've been helped spiritually to understanding these Present, Last Days and Events, HERE & NOW, right before our Lord & Kings eminent return .. Amen !

So I’m a Pharisee or hypocrite because I call out Ellen White as a false prophet? OkšŸ™„. Her writings aren’t authoritative and they contradict scripture in many ways.
Like the Pharisees, who ( their fathers ) killed the prophets, because they didn't want to hear what God had to say to them, just as you don't want to hear, what any of God's prophets say to you, EGW or otherwise, because all of God's Prophet promote and declare obedience to God. But like the Pharisees in front of Jesus, you are promoting a religion of disobedience to God. So you denigrate (corrupt) the understanding of scripture and call "a false prophet" all who support and believe Jesus and His Righteousness, (obedience to the Father's Will, when it is YOU, and many others in this forum that are believing, living, & promoting a religion of "anti-Love" for God and your neighbors. Matt 22:37 ... Having a spirit of "anti-Christ" = teaching disobedience to God and His Son, as does Satan, then thinking and claiming that you are Christian, which is the definition of a False Prophets. ... Rev. 16:13

My saying that I was going to go and get on my knees to pray, before the end of Sabbath, was NOT me "praying in public" Matt 6 is about a one to one relationship with God,. Also as when we are having a group prayer of Brethren, ... it's still our group, ( which Jesus requested and promoted) ... The Body of Christ, petitioning the Father, by reverent worship and prayer.

Your claiming that I was doing something prideful or wrong, out loud here in the forum, IS evidence of your being a false prophet, along with ( Dino, Inquisitor, Psalm1, ATG, ET AL ) all corrupting the understanding of Scripture to promote Satan's religion of disobedience to God.

Here is a video transcript synopsis of Michael McCaffery's ( excellent ) teaching; .. Read, ... Watch ... and be Blessed !

The Gospel of Rest — Part 1: The Sign of Faith

Michael McCaffery's video teaching, "The Gospel of Rest – Part 1: The Sign of Faith," presents a theological argument centered on Hebrews 4:3 ("For we which have believed do enter into rest"). He contends that the seventh-day Sabbath is not merely a day of physical cessation from labor, but a profound spiritual emblem of faith in the gospel of Jesus Christ. That observing the Sabbath on the seventh day serves as a tangible sign of believing that Christ’s perfect obedience fulfills the requirements of God’s law, whereas observing Sunday is characterized as a sign of unbelief in that specific gospel truth.

McCaffery begins by establishing a direct link between belief and rest. He posits that the "rest" mentioned in Hebrews 4 is specifically the seventh-day rest of God, as referenced in the surrounding verses. Consequently, entering this rest is presented as the necessary outcome of believing the gospel. Michael asserts that the gospel is defined as the power of God to save, and its saving power lies in revealing the "righteousness of God." This defines righteousness biblically as "right doing" or obedience to God’s Ten Commandments. Since no human can achieve perfect obedience due to inherent sinfulness, McCaffery argues that salvation comes only through receiving Christ’s perfect righteousness as a free gift.

Central to the thesis is the concept of "Christ’s Righteousness." The teaching details how Jesus lived a perfectly selfless life, fulfilling the law of love (the Ten Commandments) without a single selfish act. This perfect record of obedience is offered to believers as a gift. Through faith, a believer can "declare" Christ’s obedience as their own, satisfying God’s legal requirements for eternal life. Michael emphasizes that this does not abolish the law; rather, it establishes it by providing a perfect fulfillment that humans could not achieve on their own. The law remains the unchangeable standard of God’s government, and Christ’s life is the only way to meet that standard.

This then connects this theological framework directly to Sabbath observance. The author argues that because the Sabbath commemorates God’s rest after creation and, typologically, Christ’s rest after the completion of redemption, it is the specific day designated to demonstrate faith in this finished work. To "enter into rest" means to cease from one’s own works of trying to earn salvation and to trust entirely in the work Christ has already done. Therefore, resting on the seventh day is the physical act of declaring, "I believe Christ’s work is sufficient." Conversely, the author claims that observing Sunday (or any day other than the seventh) is an "example of unbelief." It is interpreted as a refusal to enter the rest God offers, implying a reliance on one’s own efforts or a rejection of the specific day God appointed as the sign of the covenant.

The teaching addresses the common objection that "Jesus is my rest" as an excuse for not keeping the Sabbath. The author counters that this is a contradiction; if one truly believes Jesus is their rest, they should demonstrate that faith by resting on the day He rested. Citing James, the author argues that faith without works is dead. In this context, the "work" of resting on the seventh day is the evidence that validates the profession of faith. To claim faith in Christ’s righteousness while disregarding the seventh-day Sabbath is portrayed as a hollow profession, akin to the devils who believe but do not obey.

Furthermore, the video teaching situates this Sabbath controversy within the context of end-time prophecy. It suggests that the final crisis for humanity, often associated with the "mark of the beast," will hinge on this specific issue. The author predicts a global conflict where individuals will be forced to choose between honoring the seventh-day Sabbath as a sign of their belief in the gospel of Christ’s righteousness or honoring a counterfeit Sunday Sabbath, which would signify a reliance on human authority and a lack of faith in the true gospel. The text urges readers to align their actions with their beliefs immediately, warning that failing to enter the seventh-day rest is a dangerous spiritual error.

In conclusion, McCaffery's teaching synthesizes the concepts of faith, righteousness, and the Sabbath into a unified argument: the seventh-day Sabbath is the weekly, visible sign of a believer’s trust in the finished work of Christ. It is not a legalistic burden but a joyful declaration that one has ceased from self-reliance and entered into the rest of God’s grace. The author asserts that understanding this connection is crucial for the "end of time," as it distinguishes true believers who rely on Christ’s obedience from those who, knowingly or unknowingly, rely on their own works or reject the gospel’s true nature. The video serves as both a theological exposition and a call to action, urging Christians to examine their day of rest as a reflection of their ultimate trust in the salvation provided by Jesus.

A true biblical prophet, according to the KJV Bible, must meet several criteria:

  1. Called by God (Jeremiah 1:5).
I doubt she was
  1. Faithful to God’s Word (Isaiah 8:20; Deuteronomy 13:1-3).
She added to God’s word
  1. Accurate in their predictions (Deuteronomy 18:21-22).
What did she predict that wasn’t already happening?
  1. Leads people back to obedience to God (2 Chronicles 24:19; Malachi 4:5-6).
She instead lead people back to rituals
  1. Exhibits the fruits of the Spirit (Matthew 7:15-16; Galatians 5:22-23).
  2. Points people to Jesus Christ as the Savior (John 5:39; Revelation 19:10).
She pointed people towards legalistic rule keeping
These characteristics are crucial to identifying true prophecy in the Bible, and they emphasize the call to obedience to God's law, particularly in these last days, as a sign of true prophecy and the work of the Holy Spirit.
as you said God’s law, not God’s love.

Prophets aren’t judged based off popularity. They are judged based off scripture. Take Muhammad and Joseph smith for example. Millions would say the same about them.
Like the Pharisees, who ( their fathers ) killed the prophets, because they didn't want to hear what God had to say to them, just as you don't want to hear, what any of God's prophets say to you, EGW or otherwise, because all of God's Prophet promote and declare obedience to God. Rev. 16:13
I don’t promote religion or disobedience.

I don’t remember claiming to be a prophet. Ellen white is the one that added her personal views and claimed they were visions and messages from God. She is not much different than Joseph smith.

We can start breaking down the false claims and predictions of your POLM videos if you would like since I’m guessing that’s what your avatar stands for.

Simple question, did all of Ellen’s guidance, messages, and visions align with scripture?

Simple question, did all of Ellen’s guidance, messages, and visions align with scripture?
If looking at all the context, yes, she pointed everyone back to God's word. If isolating a verse just like isolating a verse in Scripture we can make anyone say anything, but its not the truth of what is being taught, its a narrative.

Example:
  • White: ā€œThe way to health is obedience to God’s requirements in diet.ā€ — Counsels on Diet and Foods, p. 25
  • Scripture: ā€œFor by grace you have been saved… not of works.ā€ — Ephesians 2:8-9
EGW never taught we are saved by works, but our works demonstrate if our faith is genuine.

Regarding eating not having anything to do with salvation this is not according to the LORD. When He tells one not to do something and we do it anyway, this is not about works, its about loyalty to God. Whoever we obey is who we serve Rom6:16KJV if we are not serving God and are living in the flesh there is no Scripture that says one can be saved in this state.

This once again is the LORD directly speaking at His second coming, not EGW

Isa 66:16 For by fire and by His sword
The LORD will judge all flesh;
And the slain of the LORD shall be many.

17 ā€œThose who sanctify themselves and purify themselves,
To go to the gardens
After an idol in the midst,
Eating swine’s flesh and the abomination and the mouse,
Shall be consumed together,ā€ says the LORD.

If looking at all the context, yes, she pointed everyone back to God's word. If isolating a verse just like isolating a verse in Scripture we can make anyone say anything, but its not the truth of what is being taught, its a narrative.
Ok let’s look at this claim for starters.

She said ā€œEvery time we kill animals for food, the life of the creature is taken, and we are committing an act that separates us from the gentle spirit God desires us to haveā€

Where in scripture does it say that hunting for food separates us from the gentle spirit God desires us to have?
