from Jer 17:7, for instance. From where have you gotten the idea of confidence?
I don't see it in Matthew 13 or Luke 8.
I could have missed it.

What does this have to do with the parable of the sower?from Jer 17:7, for instance.
Are you reformed?Not really...
The Holy Spirit can not cause you to be immoral when you walk in the Spirit.
But, some people by nature love rules and regulations.
They will be moral in the energy of their flesh.
Their sins will be mental attitude sins. Not overt.
It tough when we have to give examples to you of what words meant at the time of writing. What does this have to do with the parable of the sower?
Am shutting down.from Jer 17:7, for instance.
Are you reformed?
Are you saying I cannot grieve the Holy Spirit?
I can tell from your posts that you are BOTHIt tough when we have to give examples to you of what words meant at the time of writing.
It has to do with my to do with my consideration of the root that endures, where the others do not. You've asserted that every soil is representative of believers, except for the first if I understand correctly, that did not endure in their belief, except for the last. They all heard the gospel and believed but for one reason or another they fell away. My perspective takes into consideration Jesus' distinction of the good soil in his explanation as the one who hears and understands it. This implies none of the others did this, and this is the impetus of its connection to confidence, imo, seeing that not many would put confidence in anything that they do not sufficiently understand. What does this have to do with the parable of the sower?
I see it as referring to the good soil. Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in Him.Am shutting down.
Jeremiah 17:7 seems to be referring to the seed in Matthew 13:7/22...
choked by worldly cares and worries.
The point?
Verse 5 and 8 are referring to those that believed in Jesus....
which includes trust.
If we believe Jesus,,,
we trust Jesus.
Trust is a component of belief.
Although only verse 8 was saved and did not fall away.
The one in verse 8 fell away.
So we could be adulterous mentally....I will try this way
When you are filled with the Holy Spirit and walking in truth?
You can not be immoral.
Yes, you can grieve the Holy Spirit, and become immoral. Mentally! Not overtly.
But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart." Matthew 5:28
So we could be adulterous mentally....
but not physically....
I thought you didn't believe in sinless perfection.
I guess you do.
Now....IF we can grieve the Holy Spirit mentally,,,
do we need to confess it?
You must spend a lot of time confessing,,,
just judging from your remarks on this thread.
And if we cannot grieve the Holy Spirit
WHY would John make provision for this??
1 John 1:9-10
9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar and His word is not in us.
Yes sir.
Incorrect theology creates a lot of confusion, problems and conflicts.
Not what Jesus would want.
You're reading your own belief system into the parable. It has to do with my to do with my consideration of the root that endures, where the others do not. Do you read the bible?Your confusion stems from having a foundation of too many false teachings.....
Which you assume to be perfectly alright.
It would take months of willingness on your part and a true desire to learn to get you to be on the same page.
No, thank you.
In the meanwhile, your portion does bring out contrasts, that when dealt with, will help others seeking for life.
Just stay your usual contradictory self
See post 9412.I see it as referring to the good soil. Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in Him.
That is, he won't fall away if he hears and understands the gospel.
Do you read the bible?
Do you ever post scripture?
Your opinions are of no value.
See post 9412.
It is possible to fall away.
This is no less as much an opinion of Jesus 'at His word' as you've asserted of me. And I'm well aware this is all you, or anyone else, has any power to offer apart from invoking Jesus Himself. You're reading your own belief system into the parable.
We must take jesus at His word.
I fear that you are incapable of using scripture.Even if I quoted Scripture (which I can) my opinions would be of no value to your way of thinking.
So? I learned not to waste time, because you would only drag it off into endless debate in a new area to waste even more time.
I discern you enough to know that much.
You agree with the Catholics ,Mormons and Muslims?Maybe the Catholics, Mormons, Muslims are right !!
Maybe WE are wrong !
See post 9412.
It is possible to fall away.
Who should I invoke Mem?This is no less as much an opinion of Jesus 'at His word' as you've asserted of me. And I'm well aware this is all you, or anyone else, has any power to offer apart from invoking Jesus Himself.
