The fool might be my middle name
But I'd be foolish not to say
I'm going to make whatever it takes
Bring you up, call you down, sign your name "Secret Love"
Make it rhyme, take you in, and make you mine...

Do you guys know a band Fold Zandura?

Never heard of them. I'm from California originally also. They sound like Oasis with a little bit of Radio mixed in. How did you come across them?

Anyways,

I always liked this song.

Forget how I discovered "Fold Zan" (just remember a guy I used to work with calling them that). Think I still have that CD somewhere. Now I have to go digging because that was a song I listened to A LOT.

Oh my, Ace of Base. Been hearing that song quite a bit in ads on TV that I don't pay attention to. Weird how everything now seems to be geared toward Gen X nostalgia or just trying to get our attention.

Anyway, was wondering if anyone remembers Chasing Furies from back in the day? (If they haven't already been posted, haven't gone through this entire thread). Think I'm just missing Alternative music as a whole. I know it's still around, just don't ever think to go looking for anything new.

Reactions: Parable

The lyrics are based on the story of the five Sullivan brothers from Waterloo, Iowa, who all lost their lives during World War II when their ship, the USS Juneau, was sunk by Japanese forces in November 1942. This remains the greatest single-family loss in U.S. military history. Sad!

(The music sounds like Green Day.)

A gorgeous trip down memory lane for me:

The Verve - Lucky Man (Live At Haigh Hall, Wigan, UK / 24th May 1998)

A couple of lyrically and musically beautiful songs from Paul Weller, who was previously the lead singer with The Jam:

Paul Weller - Wild Wood

Paul Weller - You Do Something To Me
