Can you give us a Biblical example of a war stopping because a country refused to fight?
Russia has lost the war in Ukraine. It is getting destroyed. Russia still fights. If Ukraine decides to quit fighting, Russia walks in and takes over. Then Russia rebuilds and attacks Poland. If Poland refuses to fight, Russia gets Poland. Then Germany. Then France. Your leftist wishful thinking has no place in the real world.

Whatever wars Russia started were in it's own territory. They invaded Ukraine to put a stop to NATO expansion into Russia's underbelly that would have been an existential threat. I would expect the same justified response from the US if China made moves to put nuclear missiles in Cuba

Are you Russian by any chance? Nothing personal, but you seem good at parroting Putin's propaganda. NATO a threat? Well it is now. Poland is rearming, even spineless Germany is doing something. Once neutral Finland and Sweden have joined NATO. The thing that Putin (supposedly) feared has come upon him.
NATO was pretty pathetic. it's armies were small, not well equipped and white anted by governments who preferred spending money on illegal immigrants. Putin has awoken NATO to at least some extent. Not the result that he expected.
