@GWH this will serve you too.
Here i need to invite you to do some honest searching of your own before drawing the conclusions you are drawing.

You are assuming that it is finished means the moral law and the commandments are abolished. But what if it is finished means something more specific than that? What if what was finished was the sacrificial system, the penalty of sin, the requirement for animal blood, the Levitical priesthood and every ceremonial shadow that pointed forward to Christ? Because that is exactly what the prophets said He would fulfill. And fulfilling those things does not require abolishing the eternal moral character of God expressed in the Ten Commandments.

Now here is the homework I genuinely want to encourage you to do because it will change the way you read this entirely. Go and find the prophecies about Jesus in the Old Testament. Not just one or two. All of them. Because Jesus did not come out of nowhere. He was announced, described and predicted in extraordinary detail centuries and in some cases thousands of years before He was born. And understanding what those prophecies said He would fulfill is the key to understanding what it is finished actually means.

Here are the books where you will find them and I am giving you the map but encouraging you to make the journey yourself because what you discover will stay with you far longer than anything I could simply hand you:

Start with Genesis. The very first prophecy about Jesus is found in Genesis 3:15 where God tells the serpent that the seed of the woman will crush his head. Then look at Genesis 22 where Abraham offers Isaac on Mount Moriah and God provides a substitute. The entire scene is a breathtaking picture of the cross painted thousands of years before it happened.

Then go to Deuteronomy 18:15-19 where Moses himself, the very man who received the Ten Commandments, prophesied that God would raise up a prophet like himself from among the people and that everyone must listen to Him. Jesus quoted this about Himself and Peter confirmed it was fulfilled in Christ. (Acts 3:22-23). Moses spoke of Jesus. The man who received the commandments pointed forward to the One who would confirm them.

Then look at Psalm 22 written by David approximately 1000 years before the cross. Read it slowly and carefully. My God my God why hast thou forsaken me. They pierced my hands and my feet. They cast lots for my clothing. Every detail of the crucifixion described in precise and stunning detail a thousand years before crucifixion even existed as a method of execution.

Then go to Psalm 110 where David describes a priest forever after the order of Melchizedek. The writer of Hebrews explains this is Jesus as our eternal High Priest replacing the Levitical priesthood. That is something fulfilled at the cross. The priesthood. Not the moral law.

Then read Isaiah 53 in its entirety. This was written approximately 700 years before the birth of Jesus and it describes His suffering, His rejection, His death as a substitute for sinners and His resurrection with a precision that makes the hair stand up on the back of your neck when you read it knowing what you know about what actually happened. He was wounded for our transgressions. He was bruised for our iniquities. The chastisement of our peace was upon Him. With His stripes we are healed. All of it. Written 700 years before it happened.

Then look at Micah 5:2 written 700 years before the birth of Jesus which names Bethlehem specifically as the birthplace of the one whose goings forth have been from of old from everlasting. The eternal one born in Bethlehem. Predicted 700 years in advance.

Then go to Zechariah 9:9 written 500 years before Palm Sunday which describes the king coming to Jerusalem riding on a donkey. Jesus fulfilled this to the letter on the day we now call Palm Sunday.

Then look at Zechariah 11:12-13 written 500 years before the betrayal which names the exact price of thirty pieces of silver that would be paid for the betrayal of the shepherd and then thrown to the potter in the house of the Lord. Judas fulfilled this in precise detail without knowing he was doing so.

Then read Zechariah 12:10 which describes the one they pierced and the mourning that follows. And Zechariah 13:7which says strike the shepherd and the sheep will be scattered, quoted by Jesus Himself in the garden the night of His arrest. (Matthew 26:31).

Then look at Daniel 9:24-27 where the prophet gives a precise mathematical timeline of weeks of years pointing to the exact moment of the appearance and cutting off of the Messiah. Scholars who have worked through this chronology carefully have landed within days of the crucifixion. Written 500 years before it happened.

Now here is why all of this matters for your argument. Every single one of these prophecies is about what Jesus would do in His first coming. His birth. His life. His ministry. His betrayal. His suffering. His death. His resurrection. His priesthood. His role as the final sacrifice. These are what it is finished refers to. The fulfillment of every promise, every picture, every shadow and every type that pointed forward to the cross.

But notice something important. Not one of these prophecies says He would come to abolish the moral law or the Ten Commandments. Not one of them predicts that the eternal character of God expressed in the commandments would be set aside. In fact Moses who wrote the commandments also prophesied that a prophet would come who everyone must listen to. And that prophet, Jesus, said with His own voice:

Think not that I am come to destroy the law or the prophets. I am not come to destroy but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you till heaven and earth pass away one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law till all be fulfilled. (Matthew 5:17-18 KJV)

The One whose coming was prophesied by Moses confirmed the commandments Moses received. The One who cried it is finished on the cross said in the same week keep my commandments if you love me. (John 14:15). The cross and the commandments are not in competition. They never were. The cross dealt with the penalty for breaking the commandments. It did not abolish the commandments themselves.

So please do the homework. Go through those books. Read those prophecies carefully. Ask yourself honestly what they say He came to fulfill. And then ask whether any of them predict the abolishment of the Ten Commandments commonly called the moral law. The answer will speak for itself. And it will be far more convincing coming from your own honest searching than from anything anyone can simply hand you in a forum reply.
That is a lot of homework to avoid the simple fact that Jesus said "it is finished" and Paul said we are "no longer under a guardian." One doesn’t need to search. Reading plain text works just fine.

first, I made it really easy for you and I gave you books and verses to read really but you just wont budge, that is on you...as for what Paul wrote in Gal I explain here to you one lase time. Must I explain the whole bible to you if you wont listen ? if you did I would take the time but if you do not believe the scripture I send you why yould I. I do take quite some time to write replies with scripture.

About Gal 3 you quoted, Paul says the law was our guardian until Christ came. The Greek word translated guardian here is paidagogos. In the ancient world a paidagogos was not a teacher. He was a slave whose specific job was to escort children safely to school and back home again. He was temporary by design. His role ended when the child reached maturity and no longer needed escorting. He was never meant to be a permanent fixture. He served a specific purpose for a specific season.

That is exactly what Paul is saying the law was. A temporary guardian whose specific role was to escort humanity to Christ. To expose sin, to demonstrate the need for a saviour and to point forward through its sacrificial system, its priesthood and its ceremonial shadows to the One who would deal with sin permanently and finally.

But here is what many misses when they quote this verse. Paul is not talking about the Ten Commandments as the guardian. He is talking about the entire Mosaic legal system including the ceremonial law, the sacrificial system and the works of the law as a means of justification. The guardian that has ended its role is the system of trying to earn righteousness through legal observance. That guardian is gone because Christ has come and justification is now by faith in Him alone.

The Ten Commandments are in an entirely different category as we have established repeatedly and carefully throughout this discussion. They were not added as a temporary guardian because of transgression. They were written by God's own finger, placed inside the ark of His testimony, declared His covenant five times in Scripture and confirmed by Jesus Himself as standing until heaven and earth pass away.

And here is the conclusive proof that Galatians 3:24-25 cannot mean the Ten Commandments are abolished. Paul wrote Galatians. But Jesus spoke first. And Jesus said:

For verily I say unto you till heaven and earth pass away one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law till all be fulfilled. (Matthew 5:18 KJV)

Heaven and earth are still here. The words of Jesus stand above every epistle ever written. And His words on the commandments could not be clearer.

Now here is the warning that needs to be said directly and honestly. You have been presented throughout this discussion with the direct words of Jesus on the commandments. You have been shown the five declarations of God declaring the covenant to be the Ten Commandments. You have been shown the physical distinction between what went inside the ark and what went beside it. You have been shown the prophecies about Jesus and what they actually say He came to fulfill. You have been shown that not one of those prophecies predicts the abolishment of the moral law.

And in response to all of that you keep returning to the same selected Pauline verses quoted without context as though they overrule the direct words of Christ. But Jesus Himself warned about exactly this:

He that rejecteth me and receiveth not my words hath one that judgeth him the word that I have spoken the same shall judge him in the last day. (John 12:48 KJV)

His words will be the standard of judgment. Not theological frameworks built on selected verses from epistles. His actual words. And His actual words confirm the commandments stand, that keeping them is the expression of genuine love for Him and that teaching others to break them carries a serious and specific consequence.

The door is still open. The invitation is still extended. But the words of Jesus on this matter are clear, consistent and final. And they deserve to be taken with the complete seriousness that the One who has all authority in heaven and earth deserves.

That is a lot of words to argue with the Apostle Paul. If you think your interpretation of Matthew 5 overrides the plain text of Galatians 3:25, you aren't defending the Bible; you are just defending your own confusion.

No, just want God warned would happen. What He predicts always comes true.

Taking what others say out of context with half truths, context left out, is just exposing oneself to God. Nothing more nothing less.

God never warned anyone that they would suffer persecution for being an SDA Ellen White follower.

Jesus said that those who followed Him would suffer persecution.

I am sure most people can see the difference, know the difference and are shocked you think it applies to a cult created by White.

It’s the same fear tactic that almost all cults use to maintain control. You can’t leave or God will be mad. You can't question the leader or God will be mad. Eventually, a member ends up protecting the prophet and the blueprint more than the King they supposedly worship. If your faith relies on threats of wrath to keep people in line, you aren't following a Shepherd, You’re just serving a system that’s afraid of the light.

Right. No problem but it's pretty sad. The offense is not noted as occuring because of belief in Jesus. The 'offense' is because they are followers of Ellen White. Then we are told that Jesus said this would happen.

So Jesus said the offense would come because of Him, but these folks say it is because they follow White.

You just don't believe this level of crazy and impertinence and twisting of the word. Yet they will tell you it's all about Jesus and Jesus said and Jesus did and Jesus this and Jesus that but when it comes right down to it, it's Ellen all the way.

You can't make this up.

He said not a jot or tittle can pass from the law, why breaking it, is still a sin in the NC 1John3:4 breaking one we break them all James2:10-12 and the path Jesus said leads to sin and Judgement Mat5:18-30

I will agree to disagree and it will get sorted out in God's time.

Okay, and I bet a million heavenly dollars my understanding is closer than yours to what Jesus meant.

No, I am understanding that "It is finished" means Jesus fulfilled the Messianic prophecies thereby ending the OC and initiating the Gospel part of God's plan of salvation, in which obeying moral laws is superseded by cooperating with the HS or manifesting the loving fruit of the Spirit.

The only one rejecting the words of the Son is the person who ignores the New Covenant He established to stay stuck in an obsolete one. You claim to follow the King, but you are still trying to live by the rules of the servant's quarters. I am not worried about the gate because the King already gave me the keys. On the other hand you’re the one standing outside trying to pick the lock with a checklist. Before you go, can you please point out to me one place where the Son tells us to follow the Father's law instead of His own new commandment?

Jesus is just around the corner has been a part of SDA doctrine since the first gaff in 1844. White excelled in such proclamations while not giving an exact date, no doubt having seen the fallout from Miller's false prophecy. That's one thing, but your false judgement of a believer in Christ who will not bow the knee to SDA cultish practice, shows what you Sabbath keepers really have going on in your hearts.

You, like sabbath are not defending Christ; you are defending Sabbath practices and your false the 10 commandments are the covenant teaching. Indeed, Jesus has sat down at the right hand of the Father because He completed the work He was sent to do. This is something you do not seem able to grasp and sabbath will not even address the many posts regarding that fact.

Don't hide behind Jesus as though everyone else here should be afraid of your empty words. You have no authority to judge anyone. You have plenty of time as 278 pages would attest to; you just cannot deal with denying the truth of scripture, the fact Jesus instituted a New Covenant.

Jesus warns you.....you do not warn us. God keeps those who are His.

35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36As it is written:

“For Your sake we face death all day long;

we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”

37No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor principalities, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8

Believers in Christ have received the Holy Spirit as a seal for their inheritance. We are in Christ...not off somewhere looking at the sky.....we do not keep ourselves. HE keeps us and we are not moved by curses or false judgements or false timetables.

Your beliefs do not line up with scripture and while you think you quote Jesus, .....I know that I do know Him, I am recognized by Him and will be with Him one day. As someone who is in Christ, I know better than to tell others they are rejected by Him and I know better than to believe a false prophecy...which is you saying the return of Christ is any day now. It is not time yet but if it was, those who are IN Him are ready.

This is baloney since you place the doctrines of White over actual scripture. You are not fooling anyone. Go enjoy your 'Sabbath' instead of posting in this thread about your 'holy' day which it does not seem you keep very holy.

Isa 58:13 “If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath,
From doing your pleasure on My holy day,
And call the Sabbath a delight,
The holy day of the Lord honorable,
And shall honor Him, not doing your own ways,
Nor finding your own pleasure,
Nor speaking your own words,

Exo 20:10 but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord your God.

Gal 6:7 Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.

LOL! You hold the Sabbath holy do you? Then why are you over on the thread created to expose the heresy of Ellen White and doing your best to try and deny what she actually taught?

Why are you over there instead of 'worshipping?"
