You are not lining up with others whom I have known who also exegete.

You are siding with the wrong people. That's the problem I have with you.
I'm siding with the wrong people because I disagree with you and those you agree with - have you ever looked into the debates and the changes in scholarship that have been taking place over even the past 50 years?

Looking at Dallas Theological for example - in the mid 20th century it looks like their Greek department was not teaching permanence in the perfect tense but had wording that their theology department took and made into permanence in support of their security theology.

Later in the same century Greek scholarship pushed back against using the perfect tense to speak of permanence and it looks to me like Dallas has quietly realigned their views on security to not be grammatically based but doctrinally based.

Point being, though you can certainly find those who may agree with you, the bulk of scholarship does not agree with you and you're resting in a system that has left you in its grammatical error.

The question you should be asking is whether or not the grammatical correction caused a cessation in the overall theological view of eternal security.

Meanwhile God's Word teaches security is only applicable to those who abide IN Christ.

Jesus is like Noah's Ark... as long as one is abiding IN the Ark they are saved.

Sinful behavior is throwing one's self overboard and since they are no longer in the safety of the Ark (abiding IN Christ)... they are not longer on their way to Heaven but are once again on their way to hell.... unless they REPENT, confessing their sin to the Lord and forsaking their sin so they can be cleansed of unrighteousness and once again be back in right standing with the Father (see Proverbs 28:13, 1 John 1:9) just like the prodigal son who was dead while away but alive once again when he returned to the Father. (see Luke 15:24-26)

The smart ones know this and abide IN Christ so they aren't cut off as Jesus told us about in John 15 which is what happens to those that do not abide IN Him.

Those that follow false doctrines that ignore the teachings of Jesus... well, not much hope for them and when they get where they are going, they will regret their false doctrine for all eternity!

There is n grammar which can cause the cessation of eternal security.

Actually it's the "we can sin all we want and still be saved" crowd that rejects God's warnings as they refuse to accept the whole counsel of God.

Be careful jaywalker how you cross the street... you are maligning grace and accusing us of teaching a license to sin!!

License to sin is distorted reasoning, it is basically saying let us do evil that good may come.

Paul had a lot to say about people who defamed that message of grace.

Roman 8:3 Why not say, as some slanderously claim that we say,“ - Let us do evil that good may result?” Their condemnation is deserved!

To avoid the truth of grace or defame the message by saying that it may give a person the right to sin is to support the truth which is opposite of grace – then you are teaching that the law justifies.

This is unbelief in the finished work of Jesus.

Read what Paul says about those who do such……their condemnation is deserved!

King Saul was rejected by the Lord and is not mentioned in the Faith Hall of Fame in Hebrews 11

He's being tortured in hell right now because he was in right standing with the Lord but he turned away and never came back.

Same goes for Solomon. He went to hell as well for the same reason.
I would be a moron to try to correct a moron...
Wouldn't I?

So... enjoy your free pass.

Translation?

"Have you ever look into the damage control that has been devised? "

(Damage control to keep those who walk in their emotions feeling secure)

That is all interesting, and fodder for those who enjoy debating such things.....

But, let's deal with what is?

With all your knowledge of the Greek ?
Can a person who became regenerated, after believing in Jesus Christ, end up losing his salvation?

Forget the footnotes, please.
Just a simple, "yes."
Or, "no."

........

The New Testament teaches that this can in fact happen.

Those brainwashed by false OSAS doctrine don't accept the whole counsel of God so they reject the Lord's warnings about this.

They have to reject the Lord's warnings otherwise their OSAS buddies will boot them out of the OSAS clubhouse

So, what will cause you to lose your salvation? Is a particular sin, or a certain number? It seems I remember a verse that said all but 1 sin was forgivable.

It’s as simple as not believing any longer; losing faith. Ik many people who this has happened to. They are in deed lost, just like the world who doesn’t believe!

So in the parable of the falling seeds, which seeds would they be? Your ability to discern a saved individual may be distorted.

Hey?
You want to remain being a dummy?

If God can't stop you?
Who am I to try to stop you?
It helps to make sense, before you direct your snowflake assaults on an adult!!

What did I say I was going to do?? Stop me from doing what?? What exactly are you referring to??
