So, what will cause you to lose your salvation? Is a particular sin, or a certain number? It seems I remember a verse that said all but 1 sin was forgivable.

Why not study the New Testament and find out?

And, how many times did Adam and Eve sin before they became unrighteous before the Lord?

Preaching a salvation dependent on human behaviour is so antithetical to the message of the Good News that one can only assume they have not properly understood the Good News.

I suppose the dialogue however is important in the objective sense but knowing people like @Toknow on CC for many years, they will not be convinced because they have the first principles wrong.

That is my opinion any.
Some people are bullies by nature.

They love to emotionally manipulate and frighten (and even terrorize) ignorant, naive believers, with what certain false doctrines affords them. They self-righteously see it as doing God's work. That way they have emotional satisfaction while having their bully-cake, too.

I believe the slot they should be placed in today would be labelled... "Pharisee."
Jesus had to deal with them.
And, so do we.

They just love our kind. Don't they? ;)

Adam and Eve did not have salvation before they sinned.
Salvation requires payment for sins.

The extremes to which some will go to avoid discussing Scripture… Just who is it that does such a thing…?
I do not want to discuss what you have been itching to distort by throwing a sachet of confusion into the pot.

I concur.

If the basics(milk) are ignored, it is IMPOSSIBLE to go to the meat.

We all will have 2 outcomes:

Loss of eternal life/forfeiting eternal life......
Or
You never really had eternal life.

Heb 5:12~~For though by this time you ought to be teachers, you have need again for someone to teach you the elementary principles of the actual words of God, and you have come to need milk and not solid food.

1 John 5:13~~These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life.

The loss of salvation crowd writes their things to make one think that they do not have eternal life.

Look there genius, they had never sinned so there was no need for salvation yet since they were still in right standing with God still being perfect which is how God made them.

I don't think it's an argument from silence to consider Paul's overall perspective and then draw conclusions about a specific passage from that. For example, look at the New Testament teaching on eternal life and how that phrase is used in different places. A word study will reveal a larger concept centered around life in the coming age. Around here, we have coined the word aionic life: life as it will be in the age of ages.

Aionic life isn't merely an extension of this life that lasts forever and ever. It will be a world populated by human beings who have attained glorification and behave appropriately. They will love, honor, and obey God in every way. They will be dedicated to goodness, righteousness, and truth. And they will manifest the fruits of the Spirit.

When Jesus says that his sheep, his followers, have eternal life, he means that they have an entrance into Aionic life.

To put a sharper point on it, consider Paul
It's an argument from silence when something's not stated in a verse under discussion and we say it is.

I pointed out that eternal life is more complex than many want to make it. If you'd like to do a more comprehensive presentation from Scripture about it, I'll interact to whatever point I determine.

In the context of this thread, if we look at the concept of Jesus giving an entrance, then we're right back to whether or not one of His can turn back and exit - or cease following and lose, etc.

As I'm sure you have considered, the entrance has been discussed in terms of entering into the salvation process that has and end that requires abiding and enduring to reach.

I'd also point out that John in John1:12 begins this whole concept with Jesus giving men the right to become God's children. His writing proceeds and builds from there.

A lot of things to discuss. Trying to discuss Scripture with minds imbedded in presuppositions in not easy.

It helps to make sense, before you direct your snowflake assaults on an adult!!

What did I say I was going to do?? Stop me from doing what?? What exactly are you referring to??

All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me I will never drive away.
For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me.
And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me,
but raise them up at the last day. John 6:37-39

If anyone did lose his salvation?
It would mean that the Son failed to do His Father's will!

And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me.

Is Jesus going to fail to do the Father's will?
Your tribe keeps saying, 'yes!'

If it ain't in the Bible it must be tribal!

Therefore.....

Salvation is only for those who have sinned.

So, I ask?
How many sins did Jesus fail to bear while on the Cross?

If we can lose our salvation?
It would mean there were sins that did not become poured on his body as he hung on the Cross.

Meanwhile God's Word teaches security is only applicable to those who abide IN Christ.
The problem is that some teach that all the elect will abide and so commands to abide are just describing what a believer does - and some say those who don't abide will just lose rewards but not eternal life - and some say these commands are truly volitional and if believers don't obey God then they're be remove from Jesus and dried up and burnt, thereby losing salvation - and on and on it goes...

What you've just stated will get you the wrath of those who say that's 'works'.

This is a madhouse....
