Like I thought. You have no explanation as to why the SDA refuses to employ actual scripture and instead takes the wizard of oz road to Ellen White behind the curtain.

Colossians 2 was and still is, addressing certain heresies in the CHRISTIAN church. The church was allowing false teaching to creep in. It is simple and plain to understand but in order to continue with the SDA teaching that not a word in the Bible exists that a good SDA apologetist cannot twist or give a different meaning to in order to scuttle the truth, you give an word document that attempts to explain OT law and sacrifice.
You either believe that Jesus is sufficient and that He was sent by God to be the final sacrifice or you don't in which case there are not enough words to explain away the truth, like you have done here.

As you are so fond of saying and I quote your exact words:

Like the Pharisees, you have no problem misinterpreting the words of the text as long as you can make it APPEAR to support some opinion you hold.

And of course the time tested and SDA approved

Still refusing to add the context I see, I will let you go on your way. 👋
So not going to address the actual post or Scriptures and just go back to accusations. I figured.

You take care.

Why do you say Heb. 3:7-4:11 says the opposite of "do not follow in the same path of disobedience of those who fell because they continued to believe they could earn salvation by obeying the Sabbath and other OC laws)"?

What do you think it says?
What was the reason the Israelites could not enter into their rest, the land full of milk and honey- what reason did God say that Heb 3:7-4:11 is warning us not to follow in that same path of disobedience Heb4:6 Heb4:11 to enter into our rest.

Spoken like a true SDA switcharoo expert. Cannot give a truthful answer to Colossians 2 (any of it) so takes care of that problem by posting enough scripture to seem like an answer is only a keystroke away but of course it's all smoke.

It's the handwriting of ordinances that was against us....not found in the capricious word salad you endulged in.

Here we have someone who consistently tries to gaslight everyone in the forum. No sabbathb, the problem is you pretending it is the other person. You gaslight and not very well.

Well you just dismissed what God said His new covenant was, so if one doesn't believe His words, not much more I can do.
You sound like the Black Knight...running away are you?

I didn't dismiss the covenant. I live under it. But I'm not a party to the terms of the covenant; I am a beneficiary of the covenant having been fulfilled.

And this is why I posed the questions I did. The old covenant was between God the Father and Israel. The new covenant is between God the Father and God the Son. Israel didn't fulfill its requirement of obedience to their covenant. Christ fully fulfilled His obedience requirement. Now, all who believe receive the benefits of that fulfilled covenant while owing nothing in terms of fulfilling the covenant. This is different than the old covenant with demanded obedience on the part of those who were under it.

And this is where you err: not in saying that obedience is part and parcel with the new covenant, but in making it a requirement of the new covenant. You have, in effect and unwittingly, placed yourself under the old covenant.

I already said God inspired Paul to say in Heb. 3:7-4:11 not to follow in the same path of disobedience of those who fell because they continued to believe they could earn salvation by obeying the Sabbath and other OC laws.

What do you think was the reason they could not rest/be saved?

They are quoting OT and why the Israelites could not enter into their land of milk and honey and why it that? You keep relying on your own reasoning and not the reason God gave. Heb 3 and Heb 4 is quoting OT. What reason did God give why they could not enter their land full of milk and honey- you keep quoting "you" but I am asking if you can quote the reason God gave, because what He said is the only voice that matters.

Not running, just learned when one won't allow God's voice to speak for Himself, what is His covenant Heb8:10 trying to reason with human opinions is fruitless. God said to leave them alone Mat15:3-14 theres a point its just best to move on. I wish you well.

Where what?
Please communicate completely for clarity.
You said it says, " (Hebrews 3:7-4:11 says clearly not to follow in the same path of disobedience of those who fell because they continued to believe they could earn salvation by obeying the Sabbath and other OC laws) seems clear to me. “
And then said, ” What is unclear to you?”

Any of it. I don’t see where it says what you say. Show me the text please where it says clearly, “ not to follow in the same path of disobedience of those who fell because they continued to believe they could earn salvation by obeying the Sabbath and other OC laws)” like you said it says.

But no one is claiming as you say. You simply don't know anything about covenants and how they work. Until you do, you will continue to be in error.

Or maybe its you. I keep trying to get you to go back to what God says His New Covenant is Heb8:10, you keep trying to move me away from it. God will decide who is in error. Until I will just agree to disagree and it will get sorted out in His time.

I'm not moving away from it. I acknowledged it and said that is the covenant I am a part of. Now, who is that covenant between?

Us, as is Romans 10:6-8. Except there it says the Word is in our hearts.
Which is a paraphrase of Deut 30:10-14. There it tells us this word that is in our hearts and mouth is the commandments and statutes in the Book of the Law. Take not the judgements are not mentioned.

Nope. The new covenant is between God the Father and God the Son. Believers are the beneficiaries of the covenant, but have nothing to do with fulfilling it.

The verses in Deuteronomy are part of the old covenant; not the new covenant.

You are relying on your reasoning more than I am on mine.
My reasoning (because they continued to believe they could earn salvation by obeying the Sabbath and other OC laws)
agrees with Heb. 3:7-4:11, Rom. 3:21:4:5, and the rest of the NT, which quotes the OT but supersedes it, as all Christians agree.

We can't find your quote in Scripture, the one where God Himself tell us why they could not enter into their land fill of milk and honey is stated directly from God. And its the exact opposite of what you say. Which is why I never trust someone who makes a statement and than gives two chapters to try to find it in, which of course is never there.

This is what God said- He was there and He stated it as plain as it can be.

Eze 20:15 So I also raised My hand in an oath to them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, ‘flowing with milk and honey,’ the glory of all lands, 16 because they despised My judgments and did not walk in My statutes, but profaned My Sabbaths; for their heart went after their idols.

So while you claim they could not enter for keeping God's Sabbath- God said the exact opposite. We are told plainly that we are not to follow in the same example of disobedience to enter our rest Heb4:11

The issue is not that God is not clear in His word, the issue is our hardened heart and not hearing Him Heb3:7-19

Yet God said the very opposite, profaning God's Sabbath He related to idol worship. Because its taking the voice of God who asked us to Remember and keep the Sabbath day holy and replacing it with another voice that tells us to forget about God's Sabbath, do whatever you want on the holy day of the LORD Isa58:13. Why breaking one commandment we break them all James2:11, they are all interconnected.

Eze 20:16 So I also raised My hand in an oath to them in the wilderness, that I would not bring them into the land which I had given them, ‘flowing with milk and honey,’ the glory of all lands, because they despised My judgments and did not walk in My statutes, but profaned My Sabbaths; for their heart went after their idols
So, when any of you work on your sabbath day for pay, you profane your sabbath day?

So, none of you work in any way, that demands working on your sabbath day? Gvt ruler/employee, military, police, first responder, corporate executive, park service...

The LORD told us not to work on the Sabbath, to get all our works/labors in 6 days so we can keep the seventh day holy, the Sabbath of the LORD thy God Exo20:8-11

Jesus healed on the Sabbath so it was never a sin to do that. Jesus said the priests who work on the Sabbath doing priestly things not a sin, like a Pastor preaching on the Sabbath. This doesn;t apply to the majority of us- we have no excuse not to keep the Sabbath day holy, resting in Christ keeping the day about honoring Him Isa58:13

the day you understand scripture properly and are polite you could ask me questions or get a reply from me until then you wont.
There is no question about it.

It's Scriptural rebuke to anyone keeping the OT Sabbath as by law, which is done away with the OT covenant by crucifying the Lord of the Sabbath.

And if being corrected by Scripture is not polite to you, then you are on the wrong side of Scripture:

Pro 15:10
Correction is grievous unto him that forsaketh the way: and he that hateth reproof shall die.

keeping the sabbath as God demands and calling it an idol by doing so is false.
Go back to the correction, and show any error in it. Otherwise, 'na-ah' isn't a response.

Jesus did teach about all 10 commandments and kept the sabbatn and all of them so go back to the bible and read more!

Move forward and read after His death, burial, and resurrection.

Teaching OT law of Moses for NT law of Christ, perverts for the old and new law of God.

1Ti 1:7
Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.
Matthew {9:17}

Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved.

Teaching a certain day to be holy unto the Lord after Jesus' resurrection, and pouring out His Spirit, is an old carnal commandment that cannot fulfill the law of the Spirit to be holy unto the Lord daily.

Jhn 4:23
But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him.
1 Peter{1:14}
As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: But as he which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; Because it is written, Be ye holy; for I am holy.
