Col 2:16
Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

2Jo 1:9
If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
Col 2:16 is about us (man) judging others- which you also plucked from its context.

Jesus said this about how He will judge us

7 “Judge not, that you be not judged. 2 For with what judgment you judge, you will be judged; and with the measure you use, it will be measured back to you.

If you want to condemn millions of people you never met, have no idea what they do, essentially putting yourself in place of God to condemn, this same standard will apply to you come judgement on the only Judge that matters and there is nothing any of us can hide from Him Ecc12:13-14

I see there is no reasoning here, so I am going to move on.

Be well.

Actually the argument you are making here kind of defeats itself when you read the passage carefully. Let me show you why.

You say Israel did not know about the Sabbath before Exodus 16 and that this was God introducing a brand new concept to them. But look at what God actually said when some of them went out to gather on the seventh day:

How long will you refuse to keep My commandments and instructions? (Exodus 16:28 NKJV)

How long will you REFUSE to keep My commandments.

God did not say how long will it take you to learn this new thing I am introducing. He said how long will you REFUSE.
The issue was not about "learning" something they did not understand. Miracles by definition transcend normal human understanding . The learning God was speaking of here was learning to OBEY Him. Anyone who witnesses a supernational event can either ACCEPT it or REFUSE to accept it. Miracles are not just a concepts to be taught. They are realities that are experienced and then accepted or denied Many people who saw that Jesus performed miracles never accepted His Messiahship,

That is the language of people who already knew something and were ignoring it. You do not refuse something you have never heard of. You refuse something you already know about but are choosing not to do. God was not introducing a new concept. He was confronting an existing disobedience
God proved to them that the command to keep Shabbat was genuine first by the miracle of the manna and secondarily by the fact that the manna only appeared on the SIXTH day and not the SEVENTH (so they would not have to perform the "work" of gathering it).

1 On the fifteenth day of the second month after they had left the land of Egypt, the whole congregation of Israel set out from Elim and came to the Desert of Sin, which is between Elim and Sinai. 2 And there in the desert the whole congregation of Israel grumbled against Moses and Aaron. 3“If only we had died by the LORD’s hand in the land of Egypt!” they said. “There we sat by pots of meat and ate our fill of bread, but you have brought us into this desert to starve this whole assembly to death!
(Exodus 16:1-3)

Then the Lord explained that He would rain down the promised bread from heaven. He also added instructions about gathering this "bread"
4 Then the LORD said to Moses, “Behold, I will rain down bread from heaven for you. Each day the people are to go out and gather enough for that day. In this way I will TEST whether or not they will follow My instructions. 5 Then on the SIXTH DAY, when they prepare what they bring in, it will be twice as much as they gather on the other days.”
(Exodus 16:4)

13 That evening quail came and covered the camp and in the morning there was a layer of dew around the camp.
14 When the layer of dew had evaporated, there were thin flakes on the desert floor, as fine as frost on the ground.
15 When the Israelites saw it, they asked one another, “What is it?” For they did not know what it was.

So Moses explained, “It is the bread that the LORD has given you to eat.

(Exodus 16:13-15)
This was an object lesson meant to teach them to obey God's command to rest on Shabbat.

22 On the sixth day, they gathered twice as much food—two omers per person —and all the leaders of the congregation came and reported this to Moses. 23 He told them, “This is what the LORD has said: ‘Tomorrow is to be a DAY OF COMPLETE REST, a HOLY SABBATH to the LORD. So bake what you want to bake, and boil what you want to boil. Then set aside whatever remains and keep it until morning.’” 24 So they set it aside until morning as Moses had commanded, and it did not smell or contain any maggots. 25“Eat it today,” Moses said, “because today is a Sabbath to the LORD. Today you will not find anything in the field. 26For six days you may gather, but on the seventh day, the Sabbath, it will not be there.”
(Exodus 16:22-25)
Despite what God had told them many ignored His orders and still went out to gather manna on Shabbat:
27 Yet on the seventh day some of the people went out to gather, but they did not find anything.

It seems to me that Israel's disobedience to THIS COMMAND was what God was referring to when he asked Moses:
28....“How long will you refuse to keep My commandments and instructions? 29 Understand that the LORD has given you the Sabbath; that is why on the sixth day He will give you bread for two days. On the seventh day, everyone must stay where he is;
no one may leave his place.”

(Exodus 16:28-29)
Israel disobeyed God's command to rest and "remain in their place" on Shabbat. God given Israel this (verbal) command only recently, speaking it to them out of the flaming mountain, so there is not need to ground it on something God had supposedly revealed Adam, Enoch, Noah, or Abraham ages before. As for Moses allusion to God's Shabbat after the Seventh Day of Creation. This shows that there was a presccendent for ceasing from labor. Moses did not command all mankind to recapituate the God's Shabbat Day on a weekly basis.

The Sabbath of man = Sunday
The Sabbath of God = Saturday

The 7th day sabbath is clearly not Sunday.

If we are asked to choose which day we will keep Holy, Which day will we keep as the sanctified Sabbath, which day will you choose?

We should worship God every day and spend time with God every day. But one day was made Holy.
To "sanctify" means to set apart for a holy use. God did this because He had rested upon it at creation Gen 2:3.

One day was set apart by God yet most of the the Christian world set aside the day that is not sanctified..

Mar 2:27-28
27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: 28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

It was made for us. Made for us to keep holy and rest from work. Made to Remember our creator and saviour.

Praise God for the sabbath.

When you are asked to choose which day you will keep Holy, Which day will it be?
The Apostles and prophets of the New Covenant never commanded their followers to keep Shabbat though, if Shabbat were still a en force today as it was with those who were under the Covenant of the Law, NOT KEEPING SHABBAT would be a moral and mortal sin on par with the other sins Jesus and the His Apostles warned us about such as the following types of sin:
  1. Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor homosexual offenders, nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers WILL NOT INHERIT the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were (1 Cor 6:9-10).
  2. The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God (Gal 5:19-21).
  3. But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God’s holy people. Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. For of this you can be sure: No sexually immoral, impure or greedy person—such a person is an idolater—has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God’s wrath comes on those who are disobedient. Therefore, do not be partners with them (Eph 5:3-6).
  4. Outside (the holy city) are the dogs, those who practice magic arts, the sexually immoral, the murderers, the idolaters and everyone who loves and practices falsehood. (Rev. 22:12-16).
In order to include NOT KEEPING SHABBAT in the Apostle's lists of damnable sins you have to alter all these massages. Do you not think, is Shabbat keeping were a fundamental foundation stone of the faith those who were ministers of the New Covenant would have warned their flocks about it; especially the Gentiles that were in their flocks?

which could cause a person to forfeit theit inheritance of ETERNAL LIFE.

They did

What commandments is being quoted from that are left outside? The Ten Commandments. They came in a unit of Ten numbered by God Himself Deut4:13 its the Testimony of God Exo31:18

Why we see the ark of Gods covenant that held the Testimony of God at the last trumpet for judgement Rev11:18-19 why Jesus warned us not to break or teach others to break the least of these commandments or one would be in fear of sin and Judgment Mat5:19-30 Why Jesus taught when we lay aside the commandment of God quoting from the Ten for traditions of mans, it makes one worship in vain and the path that leads to a ditch. Mat15:3-14 Mark7:7-13

Revelation 22:14 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. 15 But outside are dogs and sorcerers (Breaking commandment #1 Exodus 20:3) and sexually immoral (breaking commandment #7 Exodus 20:14) and murderers (breaking commandment #6 Exodus 20:13) and idolaters (breaking commandment #2 Exodus 20:4-6), and whoever loves and practices a lie (breaking # 9 Exodus 20:16 or any of the commandments 1 John 2:4) Breaking one we break them all James 2:11-12 Exo 20:1-17 .

The NT quotes the OT like Hebrews 3 and 4 so if we are not allowing the Bible to explain itself, chances are we are leaning on our own understanding and not God’s Pro3:5-6

This ides that Jesus and the apotles deleted the OT is not Biblical. 2Tim3:16

When God tells us the reason and we don’t believe Him- we should truly consider where we are, but thats me. Jesus is God and Jesus is the great I AM in the OT John 8:58 and He told us to live by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God quoting the OT Mat4:4 people don’t understand what they are rejecting.

NT quotes like Heb. 7:11-10:1 indicate that we should allowing the Gospel to explain the OT, not the reverse,
and the explanation is that the OC was superseded, not deleted.

Yes, we should live by GW, but it needs to be correctly interpreted, which involves harmonizing the OT understanding of salvation via obeying the Torah Laws with the NT revelation of salvation via saving faith in Messiah and cooperating with the HS.

I encourage you to make the transition and become a Christian.

Salvation was by faith in the old and is the same today.

God has not changed His standards
God has not made salvation different for us compared to those that lived earlier.

They looked forward to a coming Messiah by faith.

No one can earn eternal life. No one can pay the debt they owe.

By grace and mercy God has given us salvation but heaven will be a hell to those that refuse to let sin go. Sin hates righteousness.

Sin will not rise up a second time so now is the time to give up sin and surrender all to Jesus. Sin will not enter Heaven and if we are holding on to sin it will stop us from entering. Our characters will not be changed when Jesus returns we need to repent and renew our hearts today. Rev 22:11-12. 2Pet 1:5-7.
So it isn't about earning salvation it is about preparing to live in a sinless righteous place with Jesus. Jesus will create in you a new heart IF you let Him.
Ps 51:10. Eze 36:26.

Yes, salvation has always been via faith. God has not changed that requirement. They looked forward to a coming Messiah by faith.
Yes, folks familiar with the OT looked forward to a future Savior/Messiah, and we who have access to NT revelation look back to Christ's advent and atonement.
Yes, no one can earn eternal life by atoning for their sins.
Yes, those who refuse salvation will experience hell instead of heaven.
Yes, sinners should be saved ASAP, because tomorrow they may die.
Yes, when Jesus comes on Judgment Day it will be too late to repent.

Glad we agree!

Its the same gospel in the OT as it is in the NT and what you are doing is like me saying the grass is blue and find it in Heb1-Heb12 its there, trust me. Gal 1:6-9 says there has only ever been one gospel -the same gospel was preached to Abraham" Gal 3:8.

When the Bible is quoting OT on a very specific event that God Himself tells us the exact reason and not allowing God to explain it is saying it doesn't matter what it really is, not even if God says it Himself, I am not going to believe it, so suit yourself.

To call someone not a Christian because I allow the Bible to interpret the Bible its a false witness against and its not something I believe our LORD takes lightly, but again suit yourself.

I see there is no reasoning here so I will leave you to it and wish you well.

If you want to condemn millions of people you never met,
You condemn your congregation for not answering the straight question. If you want to justify your congregation, if not all others, then honestly answer the question with a simple, No.

Do any of you work for pay in any manner, where work is required on your sabbath day? Gvt ruler/employee, military, police, first responder, corporate executive, park service...

I see there is no reasoning here, so I am going to move on.

Be well.
Is 'be well' more for sure than 'take care'? Or will you be back again as this time for more?

I've found that many people keep coming back for more, when challenged by the truth. They aren't willing to acknowledge and do the truth, but neither are they willing to walk away while the challenge of the truth remains. It's like the moth drawn back to the flame.

King Ahab of Israel was like that. He hated the truth, but he couldn't just leave the challenge alone:

1Ki 22:16
And the king said unto him, How many times shall I adjure thee that thou tell me nothing but that which is true in the name of the LORD?

By grace and mercy God has given us salvation but heaven will be a hell to those that refuse to let sin go. Sin hates righteousness.

Sin will not rise up a second time so now is the time to give up sin and surrender all to Jesus. Sin will not enter Heaven and if we are holding on to sin it will stop us from entering.
Well said. The sin that separates all sinners from God, is not just the sinful deeds, but is first the lust against God's righteousness in the heart:

Jas 1:14
But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed. Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

Jhn 1:29
The next day John seeth Jesus coming unto him, and saith, Behold the Lamb of God, which taketh away the sinning of the world

2Pe 1:3
Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Mat 23:25
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess…Cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter, that the outside of them may be clean also.

The Lamb of God first purifies the heart by taking away the lust of the world, That is the only way any man can walk as He walked with a pure heart toward God.
Our characters will not be changed when Jesus returns we need to repent and renew our hearts today. Rev 22:11-12. 2Pet 1:5-7.
Exactly. There will be no repentance nor salvation from sin in the grave, and no post-grave transformation of a corrupt heart of lust into a pure heart of righteousness. Being forgiven and born again wholly new and of God, is either today in this life, or never:

2Co 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ,

Heb 3:7
Wherefore (as the Holy Ghost saith, To day if ye will hear his voice. Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the wilderness: When your fathers tempted me, proved me, and saw my works forty years. Wherefore I was grieved with that generation, and said, They do alway err in their heart; and they have not known my ways. So I sware in my wrath, They shall not enter into my rest.)

Anyone waiting to repent and be wholly cleansed of lust and sin after the grave, will wait one day too long.
So it isn't about earning salvation it is about preparing to live in a sinless righteous place with Jesus. Jesus will create in you a new heart IF you let Him.
Ps 51:10. Eze 36:26.
Exactly. Thanks much.

Repentance from sinning earns no reward, nor can any man brag about not doing evil.

But repentance for Jesus' sake, receives the purifying and sanctifying gift of grace and faith to do good and sin nor more:

1Jo 3:5
And we know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. Whosoever abideth in him is not sinning: whosoever is sinning hath not seen him, neither known him.

1 Cor 6:11
And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are sanctified, but ye are justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

We either walk without lust and sin in the light of Christ in this life, or never. No impenitent sinner walking in the darkness of their own lust of heart unto death, will wake up a new creature in the light of God's glory.

Rom 2:3
Or, Despisest thou the riches of his goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?

But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God; Who will render to every man according to his deeds: …For there is no respect of persons with God.

Yes, there is only one Gospel (Gal. 1:6-9, 3:8), foreshadowed in the OT (Acts 14:16-17, 17:26-27&30, Rom. 1:18-20,
Rom. 10:13-18, Col. 1:23, Gal. 3:8, 1Pet. 1:10-12) and fully revealed in the NT (Rom. 10:14-18, Gal. 3:8, Eph. 3:1-9, Col. 1:23).

What Scripture says in one place needs to harmonize with what it says in every place, because Truth is One.
The harmonization often involves perceiving or discerning the spiritual meaning of a passage, such as Heb. 3:7-4:11,
and the NT meaning supersedes the OT understanding (Heb. 7:11-10:1). Of course, folks are free to ignore this truth,
but they should not.

No orthodox Christian believes the Sabbath law is God's requirement for salvation.
Sorry if the Gospel shoe does not fit you. You do NOT let the NT interpret the OT,
but instead go in reverse, which is the hallmark of a Judaizer.

I encourage you not to kick against the goads of GW/right reasoning and go forward to the Gospel Truth.
You would do well to kick the apparent addiction to OT Scripture (SDA?) for awhile until the Gospel takes firmer root.

@Sabbathblessings said take care. That is not the same as saying God speed. Saying take care is actually a warning in my view. And that is why I say it. But I can't speak for her. To say God speed is to rejoice due to their presence.
2Jo 1:9
If there come any unto you, and bring not this doctrine, receive him not into your house, neither bid him God speed: For he that biddeth him God speed is partaker of his evil deeds.
Thank you for bringing my attention to 2John. I found another interesting study.

Seeya later

According to Paul, if someone breaks the sabbath law they are guilty of breaking them all. So a sabbath breaker is as bad as a murderer. So sure, SDA will be judged as they judge others too. Satan is the accuser of the brethren.
Accordint to Paul, accordint to Paul , Paul this, Paul that! What about what Jesus the son of God and God himself have to say? it is very limiting to Follow only Paul and ignore the rest of scripture here is Why;

No. Not all sins are equal in the eyes of God according to Scripture. Jesus Himself made this clear explicitly and repeatedly.

Jesus Said So Directly

When Pilate told Jesus that he had the power to crucify Him or release Him Jesus responded with something that directly addresses your question:

Jesus answered you could have no power at all against Me unless it had been given you from above. Therefore the one who delivered Me to you has the greater sin. (John 19:11 NKJV)

The greater sin. Jesus used a comparative. Greater than what? Greater than Pilate's sin of cowardice and weakness in condemning an innocent man. Both Pilate and Judas sinned. But Jesus said one sin was greater than the other. That single statement from Jesus demolishes the idea that all sins are equal before God.

He also said this about those who would cause children to stumble:

But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin it would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were drowned in the depth of the sea. (Matthew 18:6 NKJV)

Better for him if he were drowned. That is the language of a sin that carries a heavier weight and a heavier consequence than ordinary sin. Jesus was not describing all sin as equal here. He was describing a category of sin that provokes an especially severe response from God.

And in the Sermon on the Mount Jesus described degrees within sin itself. He took the commandment against murder and went deeper into the heart behind it showing that anger, contempt and verbal abuse each carry their own specific consequences:

But I say to you that whoever is angry with his brother without a cause shall be in danger of the judgment. And whoever says to his brother Raca shall be in danger of the council. But whoever says you fool shall be in danger of hell fire.(Matthew 5:22 NKJV)

Three levels. Three different consequences. Danger of judgment. Danger of the council. Danger of hell fire. If all sins were equal Jesus would not have made these distinctions. He was showing that sin exists in degrees of seriousness and carries corresponding degrees of consequence.

He also said something that directly addresses the question of teachers and leaders who lead others astray:

Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments and shall teach men so shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven but whosoever shall do and teach them the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.(Matthew 5:19 NKJV)

Least and great. Degrees of standing in the kingdom based on obedience and teaching. Not all violations are treated equally.

The Old Testament Confirms It

The Law of Moses itself made a clear distinction between sins committed deliberately and sins committed unintentionally. Unintentional sins had specific sacrificial remedies provided. But deliberate presumptuous sins, sins committed with a high hand as the Hebrew puts it, carried a far more severe consequence:

But the person who does anything presumptuously whether he is native born or a stranger that one brings reproach on the Lord and he shall be cut off from among his people. (Numbers 15:30 NKJV)

Cut off. No sacrificial remedy provided. The presumptuous deliberate sin was in a different category entirely from the unintentional sin. God Himself made that distinction in His own law.

And Solomon confirmed that God weighs sins differently when he wrote:

These six things the Lord hates yes seven are an abomination to Him. (Proverbs 6:16 NKJV)

God hates certain things more than others. He calls specific sins an abomination. That is the language of degrees not equality.

The One Unforgivable Sin

And then there is the sin that Jesus described as unforgivable which places it in a category entirely above every other sin:

Therefore I say to you every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men but the blasphemy against the Spirit will not be forgiven men. (Matthew 12:31 NKJV)

Every sin and blasphemy will be forgiven. But not this one. If all sins were equal before God then either all sins would be forgivable or none would be. The fact that one specific sin stands alone as unforgivable while every other sin can be forgiven through genuine repentance and faith demonstrates beyond any argument that sins are not equal in God's eyes.

What Is Equal

Now here is the important nuance that keeps this honest and balanced. While sins are not all equal in their nature, their degree of seriousness and their consequences, they are equal in one specific sense. Any sin, however small it may seem, separates a person from a holy God and requires the blood of Christ for forgiveness. There is no sin so minor that a person can stand before God in their own righteousness because of it. Every sin without exception requires the grace of God.

But that truth does not make all sins equal in weight, in consequence or in the degree of accountability they carry before God. Jesus was absolutely clear about that. And the most sobering implication of what He taught is this. The person who knows the truth and teaches others to disregard it bears a greater sin than the person who simply does not know. Which makes the responsibility of every teacher and every believer who handles the word of God all the more serious and all the more urgent.

For everyone to whom much is given from him much will be required. (Luke 12:48 NKJV)

I have Jesus and He is living in me
If you had Jesus in you, ( Gal 2:20 ) you would be believing and following Him, expressing His Character, of the Father's Character, of obedience. (not disobedience). His disciples did and we still do. (Rev. 14:12) You would be keeping the Sabbath as Jesus did and does, for the same reasons as Jesus did & does. To honor, glorify and connect / commune with His (our) Father, as Jesus did and does. God is love and He does NOT change
  • Hebrews 13:8: "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever."
  • James 1:17: "Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change."
  • Malachi 3:6 “For I am the LORD, I do not change;
Many time during this day, I ask myself, .... "self ? What Would Jesus Do " (3 times+ per day) When in prayer ( as Daniel did ), I beg to do the Father's Will, NOT my will, but Thy Will be done, NOT to disobey Him, and I repeatedly repent of my failures 1 John 2:16

Matthew 6:9-10
"Our Father which are in heaven, Hallowed be your name. Your kingdom come,
Your will be done in earth, as it is in heaven."

If you had Christ in you, you would not be content to continue in your sins, eg. Sun day worship (pagan) & 1 John 2:16

Isaiah 66: ( verses 15 to the end of the book is about these end of days, the Great Day of the Lord, and the New Earth )
22 For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, says the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.
23 And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, says the LORD.
24 And they shall go forth, and look on the carcasses of the men that have transgressed against me
(sinners=the disobedient): for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring to all flesh.
You claim to obey the law then cheerfully slander anyone who does not agree with your false interpretations of God's word.

  • Malachi 3:6 “For I am the LORD, I do not change;

Your kingdom come, Your will be done in earth, as it is in heaven."

I agree, many people really believe in jesus but will not do as he asks it is why he said clearly;

But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say? (Luke 6:46) @Gideon300

Jesus said it in the most direct and vivid way possible on the night before His crucifixion:

Abide in Me and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself except it abide in the vine neither can ye except ye abide in Me. I am the vine ye are the branches. He that abideth in Me and I in him the same bringeth forth much fruit for without Me ye can do nothing. (John 15:4-5 NKJV)

What does it mean to abide in Him?

It means to stay. To remain. To not drift away. To keep the connection with Jesus as the living and constant centre of your daily life rather than visiting Him occasionally when you feel the need.

A branch does not produce fruit by trying harder. It produces fruit by staying attached to the vine. The life of the vine flows through the branch naturally and the fruit comes naturally from that connection. The branch contributes nothing except its willingness to remain attached.

That is exactly what abiding in Jesus means. Staying connected to Him through daily prayer, daily immersion in His word, daily surrender of your will to His, and weekly rest in His presence on the Sabbath He blessed and sanctified for exactly this purpose. When you stay attached the fruit comes. When you drift the lamp goes out.

And He made the consequence of not abiding unmistakably clear:

If a man abide not in Me he is cast forth as a branch and is withered and men gather them and cast them into the fire and they are burned. (John 15:6 NKJV)

We need to Stay connected and Not drift away. Everything depends on it.

LIC, GWH
Judgment is based on what God says, not the "church" you have the authority backwards.

John 12:48He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him—the word that I have spoken will judge him in the last day.

James 2:10 For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet stumble in one point, he is guilty of all. 11 For He who said, “Do not commit adultery,” also said, “Do not murder.” Now if you do not commit adultery, but you do murder, you have become a transgressor of the law. So speak and so do as those who will be judged by the law of liberty.

No wonder why we see the ark of God's Covenant at the last Trumpet for Judgement that holds the Ten Commandments- not a jot or tittle changed because God does not makes mistakes we do by not fully trusting Him, not accepting His invite Isa56:6 God said Remember- man teaches the opposite.

Rev 11:18The nations were angry, and Your wrath has come, And the time of the dead, that they should be judged, And that You should reward Your servants the prophets and the saints, And those who fear Your name, small and great, And should destroy those who destroy the earth.”
19Then the temple of God was opened in heaven, and the ark of His covenant was seen in His temple. And there were lightnings, noises, thunderings, an earthquake, and great hail

The ark of His covenant is not empty- it holds the Ten Commandments- God's Testimony Exo25:16 Jesus called it the Word of God.

No wonder we are told

Ecc 12:13Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God and keep His commandments, For this is man’s all
14For God will bring every work into judgment, Including every secret thing, Whether good or evil

According to Paul, if someone breaks the sabbath law they are guilty of breaking them all. So a sabbath breaker is as bad as a murderer. So sure, SDA will be judged as they judge others too. Satan is the accuser of the brethren.
Yes, we will all be judged by the same standard. There will be no law breakers in heaven, no one doing evil Neh13:17 Isa56:6 Rev22:11. God's people will have not covered any of their sins Pro28:18 but repented which means changed their mind, trusted what God asked of us because we know its for our own good and keep His commandments by our love and power of the Holy Spirit John14:15-18

Why God promises He has a people who overcomes

Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus
Rev 2:11 “He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. He who overcomes shall not be hurt by the second death.” ’

Even when everyone around them is angry for doing so.

Rev 12:17And the dragon was wroth with the woman,(God's church) and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ

So if we are not even subjecting ourselves to the law of God

Rom 8:7Because the carnal mind is enmity against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be
8So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God

I would spend more time in prayer and asking God how can I subject myself to your Law how can I draw closer to You and join myself to You Isa56:6 help me overcome my sins and not stay in darkness John3:19-21 but come to Your Truth Psa119:151 Your Righteousness Psa119:172 Isa56:1-2 which is everlasting Psa119:142 the foundation of your Throne Psa89:14

@Sabbathblessings said take care. That is not the same as saying God speed. Saying take care is actually a warning in my view. And that is why I say it. But I can't speak for her. To say God speed is to rejoice due to their presence.

Thank you for bringing my attention to 2John. I found another interesting study.

For me, it means I really wish that person well, but we are not going to be able to reason together so its best I move on. I will do better at clarifying as I know it can be taken different ways. Thanks brother.

You will not draw closer to God by subjecting yourself to God's Law. Relationship with God is through Christ. And God is a Person, not a stone. Subject yourself to Jesus, draw close to Him and let Him lead and guide you.

You forgot the rest of the passage in Romans. How not surprising. We are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if Christ lives in us. Christ lives in me. I am not in the flesh. Yet I disagree with SDA legalism. Figure that one out.
