Just ONE flower though, not a whole bouquet. No need to massacre a garden or break the bank or anything.

The flower is so she can put behind her ear.

Tourist, did you just put wine on the table. You forgot the flowers.

Because a man thats drinking any womans just going to think he is a drinker/alcoholic if theres no flowers.
How thoughtless of me. I had some daffodils growing but all of the pedals fell off.

I want to work together with you to create something new. I'm not setting up the story, it's being written between us right now.
Where are you running to? What would you plan to protect yourself? We don't have to be real.;)
I started a thread called Virtual Date Night a few years ago. That scenario would fit right in.

I picture this scenario.
Nervously the applicant for the C.C. dating show edges her way onto the stage and sits awkwardly in the wobbly, folding metal chair. "Hello, my name is, well it says it on the form and my name tag, ha ha." There is no response. She clears her throat and begins again. "I guess I'm here to see if there is someone out there who loves the Lord, and has a sense of humour. What? No I don't mean a sense of humour about loving the Lord. Those are two separate things. I mean that this person would have the ability to see the absurd, the miraculous, and the beautiful in life." More silence. She shifts uncomfortably. "What's that? No I don't want to talk politics, or debate theology. Sorry? No, I mean I do love exploring the scripture but rather than try and score points I'd rather talk with God, admire his handiwork by walking in nature. Pardon? Yes politics is important but I'm Canadian. Yes I'm sorry. Why? I don't know, it is just something we do." She tries to block the glare of the lights and see who is sitting in the seats. It is so quiet. She crosses and uncrosses her legs and knocks over her water bottle in the process. She watches it roll along the stage and drop over the edge.
The silence stretches on. "Right. I think maybe I'll go home and bake some strudel shall I?" She gestures to the exit. I'll just see myself out" She retrieves her purse from the floor and tries unsuccessfully to make a dignified exit. Her coat sleeve is stuck in the chair. Rather than stay there and struggle she drags her coat and chair off stage. Sadly, this was one of her better Friday nights.
The end
I would immediately lift her up in my arms and carry her off, stealing her like a theif.

Like a thief in the night
Like a runaway train
Like a first class
Lightning fast
Hurricane
I'll keep my ear to the ground
And my eyes to the sky
I'm ready now
But somehow
I know you'll take me by surprise

Huh those dating shows need to rev it up a bit. You need to play games, like for two and see if you match. That's why Snap was invented. It's very simple. If your card matches your opponent, you slap them.

Do you have the option to snap them instead of slap them?

I don't know, I didn't invent the game. Its called snap but you end up slapping the cards down. If your hand goes down first you get the cards, if the others go on top of yours they are too slow, but at least you recognised the pair matched.

?! That's how I play it anyway. Maybe the rules are different for others?

I remember that Snap game that you started. It was a fun thread for sure. It was a bit of a long time ago though.

I've forgotten..? What was it called. I honestly don't remember.
What has been the longest running game thread on CC? Apart from Last person to post wins. That will go on forever.

I don't quite remember all of the details either. Something like it you didn't agree with a post you issued a Snap to that member. It was a fun thread for sure.

Found it. But we now don't have enough members to make it work.

I'm very sad the forum not as active as it used to be, but I suppose everyone has their own lives to get on with, not online.

Actually virtual dating I have not tried. I don't skype. I don't do zoom anymore. The only person I face time is my sister, and hardly anymore since she moved back in the country.

I thought webcams were kind of cool when they first came out, but now they are built in, I have this uncomfortable feeling that maybe my computer is spying on me...I try to turn off all electronic devices when I go to bed, lest they watch me sleeping.

I turn off my computer at night too. My phone is always off except when a call is needed to be made.

Mmm sorry been there done that. The worst that happened ? Well nothing BAD as such, but I had an uncomfortable feeling about it. Also I was not in the headspace for it. And I pretty much had to decide after only 3 dates, whether I was going to partner up with someone, though he lived in another town on another island. Yea, travelling would be expensive.

It's not gonna happen.

And the last time I was on a christian singles actual dating site I was scammed of $2000 and had to go to the police.
