Yet your body will suffer consequences of what you eat or drink, you're still what you eat, regardless of your theology.
I'm nearly 75. I'm past the promised three score and ten. That's good enough for me. I eat museli most days. I have fish twice a week. They are two things that God told me I should eat. I have a balanced diet. KFC, Hamburger with the lot, Roast beef on Sundays, Chinese take away and pizza once a month. My cholesterol is fine.

I've had a few health problems, but only one that was serious. And that had nothing to do with diet.

Sin is lawlessness, the law exposes sin. Without the law, salvation is just a buzzword, when you're not sure what you're saved from and what you're saved for. This applies to the dietary laws, which is more of a dietary guideline, of which the bottom line is Gen. 1:29 and 9:3. Eat what God created and ordained. Even RJK Fr has echoed this message in the new dietary guideline - eat REAL food!

See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food. (Gen. 1:29)

Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. I have given you all things, even as the green herbs. (Gen. 9:3)
Likewise:

“For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving; for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.”
‭‭I Timothy‬ ‭4‬:‭4‬-‭5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

-"Now the Spirit expressly says that in latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to deceiving spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their own conscience seared with a hot iron, forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth. For every creature of God is good, and nothing is to be refused if it is received with thanksgiving; for it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer."

"Every creature of God", keep that in mind. God didn't sanctify every additive, preservative, emulsifier, colorant, artificial sweetener, or any other chemicals that don't exist in nature. FDA sanctified those.

Again, EVERY CREATURE OF GOD, alluding to Gen. 1:29 and 9:3. It takes wisdom to discern what God has sanctified and what God hasn't.

I am your age. My mom taught eating a balanced diet, including a bite of liver occasionally.
I was naturally skinny (a 140 lb. weakling) through 30 and rather thin until about 50.
Now I am trying to reduce from 195 back down to 185, but I believe wasting food is a sin and we keep having leftovers.
I think we should do the reasonably best we can (diet, exercise: push-aways) with the genes we were given.

Agree. In the West, people die from stress and worry. And if I have to eat sushi to live to 100, like the Japanese......... not going to happen.

Yes, sushi Mom did not serve, and my wife prefers pinto beans.
When I was in hospital, I was nil by mouth for at least 5 days. I lost 5 kg and went down to my perfect weight for my height. The hospital dietician was worried that I'd lost too much. Go figure. I'm a good deal heavier now, so I suppose the dietician would be happy. The current advice is that older people need a bit of extra weight in case they have to go to hospital. You can't make this up. I'm exercising more with weights and using a rowing machine. I don't have the stamina I once did. It took me a long time to recover from the effects of the hospital. Still, I'm alive and well enough. Neither of my parents made it to my present age. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead gives life to my mortal body!

I got down to my preferred weight as a result of catching Covid in 2020.
I am continually sore from doing spring yardwork.
I understand the prostate medicine also causes achiness as well as dizziness.
My parents made it into their 90s, so that is what I am hoping for before attaining eternal life.

Right, but you’re missing the point and inserting stuff. This verse is talking about what animals we are allowed to eat, and now your concern is chemicals. (?)

Common sense dictates here.

And where are those animals named in 1 Tim. 4:1-5? All I've read is "every creature of God," and both kosher animals and non-kosher animals are creatures of God, aren't they? Common sense dictates that the distinction is between "every creature of God" and "every creature of man", known as "food-like edible substances", which God most assuredly didn't sanctify.

Still adding things and missing the point.
When God says ALL, you want to know which ones?? 🙄

Ok, bye bye…..

1 Timothy, Chapter 4:

5For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

Romans 14:

14I know, and am persuaded by the Lord Jesus, that there is nothing unclean of itself: but to him that esteemeth any thing to be unclean, to him it is unclean.
