NBA In PANIC As Players Start Massive JESUS Movement​


There are a lot of things that will get you suspended or fined in the NBA. But, share a testimony about being saved by faith in Jesus and that will cost you your job.

Does this violate the civil rights act for being discriminated agains because of your religion?

Jaden Ivey asks a very important question, "how was his conduct detrimental to the team?" Instead of the team saying "we're letting him go because of his religious belief, they want to say it was his conduct. The reason is obvious, it is illegal to fire someone in the US because of their religious belief. The only way a lawyer can justify this is if they claim his conduct hurts the team. But that still will not fly because it is illegal in the US to say that my religious faith hurts an organization. I suspect he has already consulted with a lawyer because this is a much more astute question than what he asked previously.

that is big, big no-no in the secular world. even more so when a Believer says it...

Sounds a little like the Tim Tebow. Anyways, it sounds like the former NBA player, might have a lawsuit on his hands, if he wanted to pursue it.

No, that is not the problem. Other NBA players have used exceedingly derogatory language concerning the gay community in posts online and they are fined. No, the conduct that was damaging to the team was that he shared his salvation testimony publicly.

He isn't the only one harmed, his agent is also harmed and I bet he wants to pursue a lawsuit.

I have heard several attempts at justifying the NBA getting rid of Jason Ivey.

1. The NBA claims it was not based on the one message but on a bunch of them they had been monitoring over the last month.

OK, if that is true then surely they had talked with Jason privately, documented those conversations and explained to him how whatever he is doing is detrimental to the team. If they cannot provide that then this statement is a lie created by a lawyer because they understand that firing someone in the US because of their faith is not legal and they are open to a lawsuit.

2. Others claim that he was "no longer good". He played 33 games last year and 5 games this year prior to being hurt.

That either makes no sense or is a red herring. Players get hurt all the time and their is insurance to pay their salary while they are hurt. Why did the Bulls trade for him if he was "no good anymore"? He was currently in rehab and there is no way to determine how well he is playing until that is over.

The bottom line is players have said things far more insulting to the gay community than what he did and yet they were fined. We have also had players who behaved far more "insane" (Dennis Rodman, etc) and no one tried fire them because of that.

The problem is that the only plausible and believable explanation is that they fired him because he was sharing his faith.

Here is real issue as I see it. The NBA celebrates Pride month and as a result each member of the NBA is forced to celebrate this regardless of their personal faith.

Suppose it was Christmas, would they make muslims in the NBA celebrate?

Suppose it was Ramadan, would they make Christians celebrate?

The NBA has many who are muslim or Christian, their faith may not agree with Pride month and yet they are forced to celebrate it. Is that conduct that is deterimental to these players?

The NBA has no problem imposing their will on their players to violate their personal faith. If a player voices their faith that is contrary to the NBA's official stance, then that is conduct that is detrimental to the team. So it is "rules for thee but not for me".

I think every person of faith should understand this, especially if you work for the NBA or support the NBA as a fan.

What the Lord Jesus teaches relevant to this kind of persecution is this:

Luke 9:1 Then he called his twelve disciples together, and gave them power and authority over all devils, and to cure diseases. 2 And he sent them to preach the kingdom of God, and to heal the sick. 3 And he said unto them, Take nothing for your journey, neither staves, nor scrip, neither bread, neither money; neither have two coats apiece. 4 And whatsoever house ye enter into, there abide, and thence depart. 5 And whosoever will not receive you, when ye go out of that city, shake off the very dust from your feet for a testimony against them.

NBA Ratings TANK After FIRING Jaden Ivey​


Once again, the advice the New Testament gives in this case is to shake off the dust and move on.

I don't care if people want to justify getting rid of him. The bottom line for me is what is your priority, if it is Jesus Christ saying well done thou good and faithful servant I would not worry about what they say. Perhaps the Lord will correct and adjust him, I don't know about that. But I do know you don't compromise with the world because you want to keep your high paying job.
 

NBA In CHAOS As Bulls Execs FIRED After Silencing Christian Player​


The proper response of Christians is to shake the dust off your feet and go to another city. If you play basketball there are other leagues and there are coaching jobs in HS and college, etc. Take a stand for the Lord and if they don't receive you, move on to another location until we have shared the gospel worldwide.
