Me too, Dutch, Irish, Scottish, English and Cherokee lol.
Would love to visit the Royal mile. I would get lost in the history, landscape and architecture.

Are you from there?
No.... I'm from west Texas. Now living in the DFW metroplex.

We've just been blessed to do some traveling... a couple of weeks in the UK, a couple of weeks driving all of Italy, a couple of weeks bus touring all of Ireland and ending up in Edinburg, a couple of weeks cruising the Greek islands... been to the island of Grenada 6 times with our church group, and even Regina, Saskatchewan with the church group. Recently went to El Salvador with a small group from church for a few days..
This has all been over the past 18 years or so....

The Royal Mile is a great place to shop, and to see quite a bit of history. Edinburgh castle on one end, and Holyrood palace at the other end.

Its not even in the same context of what was said- the context to what I was referring to as being semantics not what you are claiming which is why I don't bother responding anymore to your posts its fruitless and 2Cor3:3 has different context than 2Cor3:7-13 its speaking about the ministration, that changed, not the law 2Cor3:3 Heb8:10 Mat5:18-19
You are completely unable to see fruit because you are blinded by your incorrect interpretation of scripture. You don’t know how to read plain text. Your so called “lesser light” is distracting you from the greater light. You are lost and trapped in a cult. Have a good day.

Blinded.... you were given verses and bible questions but you are so focused on attacking the beliefs of others that you can not answer the questions or respond to the verses..

You are so focused on the speck in the eyes of others but your blinded by the log in your own eye...

Mat 7:2-6
2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. 3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? 4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? 5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye. 6 Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

Ink is what was written in books on scrolls- the Ten Commandments alone was written by the Spirit of the living God Exo31:18

The Ten Commandments is what was written on tablets of stone Deut4:13 Exo31:18 its not an arbitrary law they are speaking about, no longer on tablets of stone (external) but tablets of the heart (internal). 2Cor3:3 Heb8:10 Which is what the NC is about God's laws now written in the minds and hearts of His NC believers.

Happy Sabbath friend! May our Lord our God be with us.

Arbitrary law? It is not up to us to not be judging according to status, standing up for the fatherless and widow, loving strangers Deut 10:8

We are not to be eating unclean animals, is not up to us. Deut 14?

None of these are in the Decalogue yet they are sin in God's eyes, so?

Shall we not love our Lord our God with all our heart, mind and soul. Deut 6:5 That is not in the Ten yet not to do so is a sin.

Shall we not the teach them to our children? Deut 6:7 That is not in the Ten either, but if we don't we are sinning.

Please Take note in Deut 6:6 that these word that he spoke that day will be in their hearts. And this is said in context to Deut 6:2. There it says to fear our Lord our God and Keep His commandments and statutes. The judgements are not mentioned as something that is to be in our hearts. Just like in Deut 30:10-14. The only difference between the two is Deut 30:10-14 says that the word is in our heart in the present tense, that we do it.

Adultery is adultery by the way, so once again, bestiality and incest are not in the ten either. And neither in any way can be connected to adultery. Shame on people in God's Church sharing that. .

Shall we speak of not touching dead things and thoroughly cleaning things that have. Is not that still good council? As is washing up after touching unclean animals

Deut 10:17 For the LORD your God is God of gods, and Lord of lords, a great God, a mighty, and a terrible, which regardeth not persons, nor taketh reward:

Deut 10:18 He doth execute the judgment of the fatherless and widow, and loveth the stranger, in giving him food and raiment.
Deut 10:19 Love ye therefore the stranger: for ye were strangers in the land of Egypt.

Deut 6:2 That thou mightest fear the LORD thy God, to keep all his statutes and his commandments, which I command thee, thou, and thy son, and thy son's son, all the days of thy life; and that thy days may be prolonged.
Deut 6:3 Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey.

Deut 6:4 Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:

Deut 6:5 And thou shalt love the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy might.
Deut 6:6 And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:
Deut 6:7 And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

And once again nowhere in 2 Cor 3:3 does it say that the ten commandments are in the heart. And incidentally Heb 8:10 says Law not commandments.

I think we are arguing semantics here - what we are keeping is the same, how we arrive to the conclusion is what differs.

I don't think so. You say it is the Ten Commandments that New Covenant speaks of when it says it is that the Law is in our hearts. When the Covenant says it is the Law in Jeremiah 31:31 and Heb 8:10.

The Law says more than the Ten.

With that in mind Romans 8:10 and Deut 30:10-14 says it is the Word that is in our hearts. As was put forth in the post that instigated this conversation. This is just another way of saying the Law. AND saying so much more than just the TEN

How do we know? Because Deut 30:10-14 says that this word that is in our hearts that we are to do is the keeping of the commandments AND statutes that in the Book of the Law.

Then we have in Ezekiel 36:26 it says God will give us a new spirit in our heart and cause us to walk in His ways.

ALL of these speak of the New Covenant.

AND once again is saying so much more. For God has given us His Spirit. Behold all is new and of God and has given unto us this ministry of reconciliation. Christ in us, us in Him that the world might believe.

Hi Friend, I thought that was you.

I look at it this way- if one was keeping the very first commandment in its fullness, to not have any gods before Him- there would be nothing that God asks us to do that we will be breaking. Why only the Ten Commandments, not the book, was/is under the mercy (atonement) seat of God. Exo25:21 Rev11:19

I am okay agreeing to disagree. Happy Sabbath!

I am from Alabama, originally from Pennsylvania. Hershey area.

I traveled extensively when I was in the service. Not always fun.
Would love to do so now for God.

John Knox was an interesting fellow. I imagined you toured his house.

I wonder if it is still in his family's name.

What questions have I not responded to? On the other hand I can point out many that you and @SabbathBlessing haven’t responded to. Y’all do same thing everytime. Your tactics include the following: victim card, diversion, question avoidance, attempted attach on character with scripture, claiming unfruitfulness when not agreed with or proven wrong, etc….

Oh and since I’m supposed to respond to every scripture yall post. Following a false prophet is not a speck, it’s an entire tree. I can’t even see your eye because of it. Would you like to go back and answer all the questions you’ve avoided? You, just like the others have had many others try to help you see the truth. They have provided scripture and explanations to help you. Y’all refuse to listen and learn. Y’all are not here to grow and learn. Yall are here to preach your false doctrines. Helping someone get the tree out of their eye so they can see the truth is not being a hypocrite, it’s called love.

It seems like it would be a bit to busy there. I will be traveling to Port Author sometime in the near future for work. I will be there a month or so. I Plan on taking advantage of the coast while I am there. Are you familiar with the area.

So I take it you do not feel those Scriptures apply to you, the LORD is My Shepard and that just a promise to Israel. I understand about types and anti-types but your conclusion that they don't apply to us I believe is flawed.
I never suggested that Psalm 23 was just a promise to the nation of Israel and does not apply to me. Some passages in the Tenach apply to specific people (or groups of people) at specific times. We can determine this by examining the context of the passage. The truths in Psalm 23 are applicable first to the author (David) who was recalling what he had discovered about God through walking with him. He expressed these ideas - not in formal typology but in the language of metaphor Through experience David had found God to be both loving and faithful - sufficient for his every need in every circumstance.

Saying that MY CONCLUSION is that the scriptures (as a whole) do not apply to us is totally false. However, it is very consistent with your attempts to defeat other people's arguments by creating your own STRAW MAN versions of what they believe. Instead of arguing against their real beliefs you construct a counterfeit version of their beliefs and refute THAT instead.
It is not a presumption...
Because God blessed the sabbath
And God sanctified the Sabbath day,
And God rested on that Day.
The sabbath day was a blessing and no other day was blessed.
The Sabbath was set aside as holy
Sanctified for Holy use. By doing this we can be sure there was a purpose.
On the seventh day God finished the work that had been undertaken: [God] ceased on the seventh day from doing any of the work. And God blessed the seventh day and declared it holy, having ceased on it from all the work of creation that God had done.
(Genesis 2:2–3)
The Seventh Day was a meant to be celebration of gratitude for the world God made for us to live in. This was also the day when God FINISHED the work of the first creation. It was holy because creation was the work of God and man needs to remember this. However, at that time, ELOHIM did not define just HOW how men were to "keep" this day.

Those of you believe men instinctively understood what was expected of them need to prove it by pointing out the verse that suggests this. We cannot import our presuppositions into a text by inventing a back-story that supports our beliefs - such as the assumption that all mankind originally kept Shabbat because of some tradition that had been passed down to them.

Instead, we must accept the chronological sequence of events as they appear in the text. According to the Torah, the command to keep Shabbat was given, not to the Antedeluvians or to the Patriarchs but to Israel, specifically, to the generation who had been delivered from slavery.
After summoning Israel Moses said:
1....Hear, Israel, the decrees and laws I declare in your hearing today. Learn them and be sure to follow them. 2 The Lord our God made a COVENANT with us at Horeb [Mt. Sinai]. 3 It was NOT WITH OUR ANCESTORS that the Lord made this covenant, but with us, with all of us who are alive here today. 4 The Lord spoke to you face to face out of the fire on the mountain.
(Deuteronomy 5:1-4)
Though Shabbat had been recognized as a holy day since Genesis 2, it was not until this point that anyone been told HOW they must keep it until it became a law under the covenant of Moses.

None of these are in the Decalogue yet they are sin in God's eyes, so?

I agree that they are sins..

The 10 are loving God and loving our neighbors.
They are the moral standard. Moral laws.

God gave more commanents to help people understand in those times.

Health laws
Civil laws
Ceremonial laws

The civil laws were for the people to run there nation with Christ as there leader.
We can learn from this example but the political structure is different today.
These were judicial precepts intended for the specific government of the Hebrew theocracy . They enforced moral principles in daily life and set limits to be managed by human magistrates during that time. We are not living in a theocratic government which mean these laws do not apply today.

Health laws. I believe we should obey these in ways that are reasonable.
The laws were given by God and God does not change. Without being fanatical it is the principles that count.
Clean and unclean are still the same today.

Ceremonial. These pointed to the coming Messiah.
These laws consisted of rites, sacrifices, and ordinances that illustrated gospel truths and pointed forward to the work of Christ. They acted as a "shadow of things to come," and their obligation ceased when Christ, the true substance, died on the cross.
So today they are nailed to the cross.

The Moral law.
This category defines the permanent principles of right and wrong, righteousness and sin. It is primarily embodied in the Ten Commandments, which were spoken by God's own voice and written with His finger on tables of stone to signify their perpetual and unchanging nature.

To follow these in there broad nature, you will find all other laws are kept.
Magic and witchcraft are having other God's
If you love anything more then God you are not keeping the first commandment.
I find every sin in my experience can be counted as a transgression of at least one of the 10.
When I was spending hours playing computer games, the Holy Spirit pricked my heart saying to me, "you have made this more important then the Lord", "you can't have 2 Lord's in your life" "you need to choose who is the God of your life"
I had put the gaming before God and the time I spent on it should have been spent with God and helping my neighbors.

There is no commandment that says thou shalt not play computer games,
But the first commandment states...

Exo 20:3 Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
And the second .... about Idols....
Exo 20:5 Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the LORD thy God am a jealous God, ....

Sport can become a God or an idol.

When God made heaven and earth in six days and on the sixth day made man in His image and likeness so on the very next day when God made the seventh day and rested, did God go off and rest by Himself as some have indicated or did He make the day to rest with man. Did God leave our first parents on the day after He created them, to just go figure things out on their own or did God rest with man.

I think the Bible answers these questions.

God made man in His image and likeness Gen 1:26 so if God rested on the seventh day, so did man because God created man to follow Him. After Creation, God made one more day for Himself? God made the seventh day, He blessed the seventh day, set it apart for holy use sanctified and named the seventh day the Sabbath. Gen 2:1-3 Exo20:11 Did God bless the Sabbath for Himself? God is already blessed. Did God make holy the Sabbath day for Himself? God is already holy- everything God did at Creation and the very first Sabbath was made for mankind. Why Jesus said the Sabbath was made for man. Mark2:27-28 And the word He used means mankind. Original Word: ἄνθρωπος humans, mankind

Heb 4:3 although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. 4 For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way: “And God rested on the seventh day from all His works”

Exo 20:11 For in six days the Lord made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it.

God made the seventh day and the Sabbath day interchangeable from Creation- this is God writing and speaking. No greater Authority at least for me. His rest was available from the foundation of the world so who would that be for? Adam and Eve and everyone after. His rest was available at Creation as was the Sabbath because the seventh day is the Sabbath Exo20:10

Both were available God's rest and the Sabbath rest because those who enter His rest also, (they in addition) rest as God did Heb4:10 (made in His image) on the seventh day. Heb4:4 Exo20:11 Gen 2:1-3. It’s impossible to experience one rest without the other, they have always worked in tandem from the beginning of time. Not everyone enters because they never shared the faith of those who obeyed God Heb 4:2 and could not enter due to disobedience Heb4:6 why we are called not to fall in the same example Heb4:11 Man changed God’s rest to another day, not God Dan7:25. God still invites us to rest and join ourselves to the LORD on the Sabbath day Isa56:6 His invitation is to everyone, He won’t force us to, we have to open that door.

Paul gave us some good advice:

Col 2:8 Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ.
Though Shabbat had been recognized as a holy day since Genesis 2, it was not until this point that anyone been told HOW they must keep it until it became a law under the covenant of Moses.
Well, they were keeping the Sabbath and it was a commandment of God Exo 16:26-28 before it was a covenant, because God's commandments are not tied to agreements- they belong to God Exo20:6 and God's people keep through faith and love and the Holy Spirit until the very end Rev14:12

You have made many assumptions in this post that are not supported by the text.

God did not “create” each day; He created the solar system such that one day follows another. The text doesn’t whether God was with man or “by Himself” on the seventh day, so stating either is speculation. It doesn’t say that He made the seventh day “for Himself either.

The fact that God made man in His image doesn’t dictate that man did what God did on the seventh day.

You would do well to learn some logic so that you don’t continue to confuse your own ideas with the truth of Scripture.

The sabbath was made for man..

Mar 2:27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:

Gen 2:3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

Blessed and sanctified.

It was set aside for holy use.

With these clear verses are you saying the sabbath was nothing or had no blessing for some time? Was not for man's blessing for a time?

And who give anyone the right to remove the blessing and sanctification that GOD put on the seventh day.

I said what I said.

God called Abraham out in order that, 'through your offspring many nations will be blessed (Gen 22:18)." And God called out Israel to be a light unto the nations, and He gave them the laws by which to emulate the light. The standard was set for righteousness by the law, but none of them, not even Moses, could keep up to standard. No one could until The One came and kept it flawlessly. Not to show anyone how to, the instructions had already been written out in full detail concerning the how to. He was sent because it failed to do what it was promised to do, bless them, not because it couldn't deliver its part of the covenant, but because they couldn't. And yet, there's still pretenders that would like you to think that they love God perfectly, love their neighbor perfectly, and keep the Sabbath perfectly...

And the messiah complex that had affected EGHW's psychology, accentuated by her prominently pursed lips, would be widespread as the plague in pandemic proportion if it weren't for sound minds keeping it in remission all this time.

So, the New Covenant is not about replacing the Ten Commandments but about making them part of who we are.

Blessings
Here's the corrected version with a few minor fixes:

I would add that with regard to the New Covenant after the Lord's Advent — if that is the one that is to be written on the hearts — it refers not only to the commandments of the Old Testament as to the letter, but also to that spirit which was revealed in the New Testament/Covenant (as part of Holy Scripture). Moreover, compared with the epoch before the Lord's Advent, there is something in the New Covenant that is more obviously and openly related the Lord's Glorified Human. So, in the New Covenant which was hoped for at that time, after the Lord's Coming, there was to be a looking not simply to the Lord or Jehovah as He was known before the Lord's Coming, but now to God in His Divine Human, for the Lord's Human was glorified in the world.

I never suggested that Psalm 23 was just a promise to the nation of Israel and does not apply to me.

Yup. When all else fails, when actual scripture that is not ripped out of context cannot be honestly replied to, when it seems you are loosing ground, when it starts to get a little hot in the room, when you cannot find anything close to what you say, then

MAKE THINGS UP AND ACCUSE PEOPLE OF SAYING NONSENSE

Tried and true SDA apologetics 101

And, at the end of your post, say something like 'you take care'.

you have no idea what you are saying, i wont bother to reply
Again? Another goodbye? How many do you have? Like a moth to the flame...

In any case, it's just like you refuse to answer for your congregational sabbath-breaking.

Your congregation keeps a sabbath by opportunity, not by commandment. Which is fine. But you then self-righteously preach it as if it were the old 4th commandment of the LORD.

Any Christian can freely choose to keep a sabbath by choice and opportunity, as your your congregation does. The hypocrisy is congregationally pretending to keep it by commandment of the LORD, while knowing you don't.

When any Christian congregation on earth ever preaches a sabbath as by commandment, and the accepted members refuse company to any Christian breaking their sabbath, then I will at least listen to their honest Judaizing.

But this play-say sabbath, that is preached as the old 4th, but only kept by personal opportunity, is just self-preening silliness.

Blinded.... you were given verses and bible questions but you are so focused on attacking the beliefs of others that you can not answer the questions or respond to the verses..

You are so focused on the speck in the eyes of others but your blinded by the log in your own eye...

Wow that's tough

You quote Jesus, but do you know that He is our Sabbath rest? He fulfilled all 613 of the thou shalt nots and thou shalts directed at Israel over 2000 yrs ago! That is something to be eternally grateful and joyous about!

Personally, in my acquaintance with you Judaizers, I have come to understand that you folk are lost in a sandstorm, never mind a speck.

Why do you feel attacked though? Are you actually being attacked or does the New Testament escape your understanding and so frustration creeps in and you come out swinging.

Further, how many 'beliefs' do you think there are?

Jesus says that HE is the Way, the Truth and the Life. He says He is the only way to the Father so that would be just one way.
