Are you trying to knit a jumper from me?

No, just trying to brush your ego as gently as possible, to condition it and to work out the shine.Huh, I am woolly, except when I'm sheared.
Are you trying to knit a jumper from me?
I dunno, I'm only 160cm tall. I should be a giant by now.
Yea, most of what peeps say about me are just observations, from their POV, but sometimes it's like they are stating the obvious and doesn't really need to be said. I mean, I already know I'm Lanolin. I don't need other people pointing that out to me.
erI could use a jumper. My car battery sometimes needs jumping off. Some jumper cables would come in handy.
My phone says in NZ they call them jumper leads or booster leads. Either way, downright handy to have around.
Well, friends rarely criticise me, they try to encourage me.Lol yeah I was referring to spiritual growth, not physical growth... but I think you're just teasing.
I'm thinking that you've gotten too much criticism in your life to be able to take much more right now. Like, your meter is FULL. I'm sorry. That's really rough on a person. Especially if a lot of it was mean-spirited or someone just wanting to be critical.
Where has all the criticism come from? Like, really think about it.... bosses, teachers, relatives, friends? All the above and more? Sometimes the ones who love us the most criticize us a lot because they want us to succeed, but it can have the opposite effect![]()
er
A jumper is like a jersey or a pullover I'm not sure what the term is in the US, but it is a knitted top of some kind.
Why would a jumper lead be knitted? That's kind of crazy talk. I mean ropes or cables aren't made out of wool, though I suppose some cables can be knitted, and then wires threaded inside that conduct electricity. But that is a stretch...
If your car needs 'jumping off' in nz we call it charging the battery.
My car doesn't need it that often, usually only after I've done something stupid, like accidentally left the lights on that drained the battery, or I listened to too much music in the car, without it running according to my driving instructor. I do carry jumper leads in my car, but you have to be near another car to connect them and recharge. Then you have to drive the car around for about 10 minutes or leave it running to recharge the flat battery. Otherwise a new one costs ...$470.
I don't know what you do with EVs that go flat, and you have no source of electrcity nearby.
Yes, yes, I knew what you meant as a jumper.er

That is a critical mistake. Only take 3% of what I say seriously. The other 97% is jokes. Including this part right here.Oh Lynx you know I don't get your jokes.
I take everything you say seriously.![]()
Well, friends rarely criticise me, they try to encourage me.
But yea..bosses, teachers, relatives...I don't understand it. You don't cut down a tree to make it grow, like right down near the stump or something. I know gardening, you cut back maybe a third at the most. You don't break them down.
You don't cast shade when it needs sun.
One time, one of my bosses who I had a computer and chair right next to them, taped a red line next on the table thing where we had our computers, because it was one big long shared surface.
Apparently I was encroaching on her space, as we were tightly packed together in this silly open plan workroom and she didn't want me to cross that line.
Then she said, whenever I said something or spoke up, that I only wanted attention, as if I were some annoying little child.
I'm like wth. I was just trying to do my job! Which wasn't that much to begin with. I was a library assistant then and she was meant to be the team leader.
I don't know, the workspaces were badly designed. She used bright red duct tape and it was quite thick.Oh ok.... yeah it's definitely good to be careful with the negative input! But at least you know how much it hurts, so you know to be kinder to others and cut them slack, right? That's a way that God could work your trials for good![]()

Just curious, since you mentioned about your boss taping a line to keep your workspaces separate.... what would have been the better way for her to do that? Like, obviously it hurt your feelings, but since she needed to get the point across somehow then what method would have been better for you? I'm just trying to understand where you're coming from.
I don't know, the workspaces were badly designed. She used bright red duct tape and it was quite thick.
But we all got the message she needed her own space to think. The previous team leader put up a movable screen, it was like a wall on wheels, and whenever she needed to concentrate she put it up because she was in the corner, and we knew not to disturb her.
She didn't imply I was messy or 'crossing a line' however, she got irritated when I asked her questions, and thought I should just know everything already lol.
That being a team leader is a tough job lolOh OK, yeah that sounds like a rough situation for both of you. Sounds like she needed one of those movable screens like her predecessor had. It's so hard to concentrate when you keep getting interrupted, even with valid questions.
So, what did you learn from it? Did yall end up having specific times when you could ask questions and other time you left her alone to think? It sounds like she was more frazzled than critical but idk I wasn't there![]()
That being a team leader is a tough job lol
I think I learned not to take things too personally, but it didn't feel like it at the time because when it happened it was directed at me, like I was the problem. The team leaders were like that with everyone, except one used to compare me with one of the older team members and asked me why couldn't I be more like her? That team member was way older like in her 50s and had even managed her own bookshop and I was only in my 20s.
If they trained people properly in the first place, they would not have this problem, otherwise, most workplace training is non-existent. What are we supposed to do when most of us don't even know what we are meant to do or were never shown how. And then expected to do things perfectly from the start. How are we supposed to know things we were never taught. Most of us aren't clairvoyant. Takes time and patience but in workforce, time is money.Oh wow, yeah sounds like your boss was in a really stressful spot... poor woman needed a closet to lock herself in so she could think!
I've always appreciated when team members were able to take on tasks and just do them without needing my help or input, makes things so much easier! Managing can be a really tough job, it means a lot when coworkers realize that and do what they can to help![]()
