Hi, there, I'd like to expose this personal story to you all, which is also the main reason I've registered on this forum. I'd like to have a point of view from unknown people about what happened. Could be a long post and sorry for my grammar errors...
I'd say first of all that I've never been in a relationship, never asked a girl about or anything, this was the first time.
About 5 years ago I had to move out and moved church aswell. I met this girl (a year younger than me, who am 25 now) in the new church but at first I didn't consider the thing at all. With time, about a couple years, I don't know why but I started to feel something for her, but kept ignoring (it was the time just after the pandemic, so a though one) at first until I realized I couldn't anymore.
I then started praying and look for an answer from the Lord about this situation, and the same day I did that, one the evening, I read a chapter on the Bible where there was written her name (and as "wife" too). Of course I took it as a first answer, but kept praying and looking for more. I spent basically three years (I'm an introvert, I also take way too long for the important choices...) this way, getting lots more answers like those (or at least that's what I thought). Suddenly this december, not being able to keep that inside anymore, I declared my love to her (I wrote her what I still consider to be my most beautiful poetry), probably doing a mess since I was like way too anxious.
She took a bit of time, then told me she didn't feel the same. This was the end of December 2025. I have to add that we were getting on quite well, we laughed a lot together, shared some interesting discussions, played music together both in the church and social events...
From that moment, my life became terrible as I realized I had put too much feelings basically for nothing, but I looked back and couldn't see those answers from the Lord as "accidental". So I started asking Him for answers (basically: was it just in my minds? Were them really messages?), and I kept receiving "positive" answers (Matthew 21:22, stated on a biblical calendar I have at home and that I NEVER look at, apart from that day; Luke 11...all in different moments just after my prayers...). One day, a Sunday, after one of these episode I also got quite upset and asked God why it went that way though. In the church that evening there was a guest pastor that, in the message, told "God is not tricking you today" (best translation I can make, it's more a mixture of "making fun of" and "deceive").
I spoke with my pastor too, not making any name for privacy, and his answer was "...I don't know, I can't know, but usually the Lord opens door if something is on the right way".
God had been quite explicit on me in the past where things weren't good, were to change or not to be done, and has spoken to me in the same way for the other aspects of my life. I have to confess that from that moment on I started doubting of feeling the will of God, as I couldn't be anymore able to (does it make sense in english? ahah) understand what it is.
...All to you, dear brothers and sisters. I'd like to hear your opinions. God bless you all!
