theres a new book by Harry and Meghans PR flunky Omid Scobie called Endgame

apparently dishes on all the royals except Harry and Meghan to expose how corrupt they are.

If Harry does not want to be royal, then thats fine, Its on William and his offspring George to be next in line, unlesss some disaster wipes them all out, or they all abicate as has happened to so many other royals when their countries couldnt afford to keep them anymore.

In terms of Christianity, Jesus never became King while he was on earth and always insisted on being called the son of man. If he had actually been King of the Jews like Kings the world over would have required tributes and his head on all the money (but now its all electronic, that doesnt seem to be any point) and a palace like how King Herod rebuilt the temple and turned it into a giant shopping mall. The had to have revenue somehow

British royalty act similar to the Vatican only difference being they work through heredity. British royalty would never adopt a child it would taint their aristocratic bloodlines

I finished watching the Crown all six seasons and now onto The Windsors. It is hilarious though the royals themselves are probably not amused

If was back in Victorian times parodies would have been banned since Victoria was so serious. But she had real power, while Elizabeth seemed to give hers away or delegate. I also find it strange that while the female monarchs were crowned they didnt give their husbands the same status, they were not designated Kings.

If things had worked about between Charles and first wife Diana, she may have been Queen?

I guess the Crown is a heavy burden to carry on ones head.

The prime minister or presdential system works only up to a point...and they can be assasinated too.

Jesus crown of thorns is never mentioned. Christians may not think about these things but it does say in Proverbs when the righteous are in authority the people rejoice, when the wicked are the people mourn.

Imagine having to live under dictator after dictator, rarely have those in power been good once they got a taste for it (or the luxuries that go along with it)

Bump

@Charlesiii if you are reading this, you may comment or correct anything that I have written that is blatantly wrong, though I was just reading Prince Harry's book...I don't really know him personally. Though it feels like I do, having kinda grown up with him always in the public eye. He's the age of my younger brothers.

As for his wife Meghan (or Megs, as I like to call her) the last I saw of her was on Netflix, and she has a cooking/craft show called With love, Meghan. It's ok, I think she tries hard but she's not really Martha Stewart, but I like that she's sharing how to do these things in a classy way I suppose, even though its strange to me she'd be Duchess of Sussex, even though she doesn't even live in Sussex.

I suppose in the same vein I don't really get the Prince and Princess of Wales honorific, when no royals were actually Welsh...?! I suppose the Royals own the country of Wales? Idk

According to books of peerage/rank of nobility

it goes
(Royalty - all the people in the Crown)
King/Queen - His/Her Majesty
Duke/Duchess His/Her Royal Highness
Prince/Princess

(Aristocrats. Downton Abbey)
Marquis/Marquess
Viscount/Viscountess
Earl/Countess
Sir (Knight) /Dame
Baron/Baroness
Lord/Lady

Upper class (To the Manor Born)
Middle classes (Keeping Up Appearances)
Chattering classes (Absolutely Fabulous)
Merchants (Open all hours)
Bourgeois (Fawlty Towers)

Then the common people, as is my understanding. The Working Class - 'hoi polloi' 'peasants' 'tradies' 'Riff raff. Plebs, proles...Council workers, public servants...Mudbloods...Cockney flower girls..
Lastly - Gypsies, tramps and thieves. Chavs
Streetcats Named Bob, Orphans, Waifs and Strays

It took me ages to figure out the social strata of the Brits. I had UK expats highly offended that everyone thought they were from London. London is like Rome, the big capital city. I also heard that Scots didn't like the English and the English lorded it over the Irish, and the Welsh just kept to themselves as nobody could understand what they were saying.

New South Wales is a state in Australia FYI

State Capital - Sydney

Canberra is the Nation's capital
Melbourne is the capital of Victoria. (named after Queen Victoria, of course)

Brisbane is the capital in Queensland (named after the Queen) but I don't know if they are going there.

Order of Succession goes - should anything happen to King Charles

William > George > Charlotte > Louis > Harry > Archie

Lilibet > ??

Lol no a male is still a Marquis or Marquess (Marquess is just another spelling for Marquis but it is pronounced the same.)

Well I don't know any Marquis or Marchionesses off the top of my head...they keep to themselves I guess.
They are one rank below Prince/Princess.

I only know of Marquis de Sade....

eek.
Is that what Andrew now is or has he completely dropped below that to the hoi polloi of gypsies, tramps and thieves?

Ok when Diana divorced and lost her title (of Her Royal Highness, the Princess of Wales) she said she wanted to be known as 'The People's Princess'

However I can't remember what Fergie, the former Duchess of York wanted to be known as after her divorce. Maybe just plain Sarah Ferguson (as that was her maiden name before marrying the former Prince Andrew?)
Would you say she was now in the ranks of Cockney flower girls?

Does My Fair Lady work in reverse?

Actually, isn't Prince/Princess above a Duke/Duchess? I'm not too sure now.

Here's all current Marquesses and Marchionesses of Britain.

Lol Marquis de Sade was French, and also uh how to say, indeed a more 50 shades of grey famously corrupt and eccentric stereotype of the nobility lol. Well there's been some pretty epic Marquesses for the British though such as James Graham (first Marquess of Montrose) and even though he's not well liked in USA history, actually General Cornwallis the main British general in the American Revolutionary War was a Marquess.

Sarah Ferguson was actually liked by the late Queen Elizabeth II and the wider society so actually she was allowed to keep her royal title of Duchess of York after her divorce from Prince Andrew, but she just chose not to use it for the public, but the title and iits office was still rightfully hers until very recently. This is actually some relevant recent news as besides just being stripped of the name of the title and official styles, also she and Andrew are being stripped of its powers and privileges very recently partly due to the Epstein scandals and partly just frankly due to the natural process as when William becomes King and Andrew dies the full position of Duke of York will revert to the Crown and likely be redistributed to Prince Louis. Though since alot of people are kinda sympathetic to Sarah Ferguson I don't think she will get downgraded to cockney flower girl lol, maybe just a comfy prole lol.

Huh, Never knew. Well on the list of Marquess I don't recognise any of the names.

Poor Eugenie and Beatrice. Are they still Princesses?
I mean they are still rich, so they would be Poor Little Rich Girls. Though they are not little or girls anymore. So maybe just the Poor riches. What do you call those? Crazy Rich Brits?

I mean not to call them names...or titles. But what are they now known as?
Is Harry still a Prince? Or Duke? Or even Royal?

Shall I ask Lorde?

As can tell, I haven't really kept up on all the ....gossip....I mean...News.

Andrew's daughters will probably become the cockney flowers girls lol.

Harry is still the Duke of Sussex and Archibald is still the Earl of Dumbarton (a point which Meghan ironically pushed for which she was smart to do imo, but then greatly offended the British about it as she like a valley girl was upset that Dumbarton has "dumb" as part of its name, lol). Despite the quibbles and tabloids stuff actually its a hidden blessing for Archie that that he was ennobled as the Earl of Dumbarton since in theory he could either retain his own rank of nobility or inherit Harry's duchy instead of get phased out to the plebes when George becomes the King. So to the central topic I guess its a matter of their conduct in the future going forward, not just the coincidence of their birth but whether or not they really do have the spiritual qualities of the patricians, that shall answer the question of whether they will end up as a mere Spare that gets obsolete one day inevitably (like Andrew and his family) or actually rises to the patrician honor and become faithful legendary knights, which we hope for with young Archie since he is America's Noble, praise Jesus.

Knights in shining armour??

What do you mean, I thought once they got behind the wheel of a Rolls Royce, or maybe a Mercedes Benz, they had their armour.
The Pope after all, has his Popemobile.

ha Meghan =Valley girl. Well it's true she's from California but I don't really know how 'Valley' she is.

Meghan. Duchess of Sweet Valley Montecito?

I recall Lady Di was once dubbed 'Duch' by her sisters. Short for Duchess. Isn't it strange that her sister also dated Prince Charles, and at the time, famously compared him to a dustman.

Maybe... Andrew could pick up rubbish for a living? It's an honorable job. You get to live in a council flat if you do that, maybe for free. Grace and Favour?

All my hopes of the future of the Monarchy rest on the girls Charlotte and Lilibet.

If they are ladies fair, or Fair Ladies, it could work... They just need a new national anthem. God save the Princesses..daughters of a King.

On Kate...or Princess Catherine, as she prefers to be known as, former Duchess of Cambridge...

Haven't mentioned her much but if anyone has been keeping up, she (and King Charles) had been dealing with cancer.
So that's why she hadn't been seen so much in public. It took a toll on her, and she's been looking painfully thin.

She's always been well dressed though, and somewhat of a fashion icon for the Brits. At one point when she hadn't been seen for couple of weeks, people were speculating that she'd had a breakdown, or been abused (?!) by her husband, or had bulimia, or worse.

But then she came out with a photoshopped Mothers Day pic, and a video announcement of her diagnosis and then recovery, so in the end she was sort of upfront about what she'd been going through.

Tabloids/Press always made out like there was rivalry between her and Meghan, and other petty dramas, but now there's an ocean between them it doesn't seem like they have much to do with each other.
