So this has been bugging me for a long time. Ever since I joined cc in 2012 I have seen so much bickering so much arguing people name calling mocking attacking even using scripture as a way to do so. The only threads that stay alive involve all this if it isn't a heated debate it just falls under the radar it vanishes in the pages of the forum. And it isn't just cc it is almost every Christian forum out there. I mean we argue we debate we mock we attack and if that is what it means to be a Christian then I amashamed to call myself one. What we should be doing is setting an example to show the love of God to minister to one other to build each other up not tear each other down to strenghten one another to feed one another.

I mean think about it really think about it with all the debates all the arguing you see and for what? And the threads? if it isn't a heated debate it will just vanish even this thread here is going to vanish in the pages of the forum. I mean does the holy spirit not convict you? do you even grow as a believer from all the debates? have we forgotten what we are called to do? Jesus commanded go and make disciples, tell me how many disciples have you made with all this arguing and debating? how many have you built up taught encouraged?

We act like bickering children and for what? for the sake of truth? if that were the case you would see the holy spirit move, you would see the hearts of others stir you would see people with a true thirst and hunger for God but this? We always talk bad about the unsaved about the world but tell me are we any better? what actually sets us apart from the world hmm? love? do you see love in this place? We have hundreds if not thousands even hundred of thousands people who visit this place every day and we are showing them what is in our hearts with every post and we are setting such a fine example aren't we?

It is annoying agitating infuriating even to see the church like this. We even say all the time how most Christians are lukewarm
but tell me this then do you have a fire in you? A true zeal for God? do you hunger and thirst for him so much it is torture even? So much so that even your body craves just to hold him in your arms and never let go? Things need to change and it starts with us and I mean like now not later not when we feel like it I mean now.

I'm afraid this has more to do with the nature of online discussion. People are reduced to faceless opinions, therefore people are identified with their faceless opinions, if you post something that challenges other's preconceived dogmas, it may be perceived as a personal offense, since it's not just their words, but their core identities being questioned, deep down it activates a defense mechanism to push back. In simple terms, "ragebait".

What most Christians need is a comprehensive, overarching biblical narrative built on four pillars - creation, desacration (or the Fall), salvation, glorification. These adequately answer the four philosophical questions we all have to face - where are we from (created by God), who are we (sinners away from God), what are our purpose (restoration of our relationship with God through Christ), where are we going (millennial kingdom and New Jerusalem, i.e. ultimate heaven on earth). Once you accept this narrative, read and study all the scripture through it. Without it, chances are you're taking the Lord's name in vain.

Whenever we talk inappropriately on a Christian website it is coming from the flesh.

People like to fight and boast I am right or at least think they are.

Americans like there is the Republican and Democrat party so they can fight and say I am right and I am better.

Some Christians are like that.

Which they do not really care about harmony but like the division.

They have the attitude that out of all the denominations that say we have the truth we have the truth.

We are number 1.

We are the champions.

And it delights them.

To them its war and they are justified for setting them straight that disagree even harshly.

Or they just like it.

We will go against people we do not agree with but we should post scriptures and what we believe without the bad remarks.

This is applying to people that accept the truth without denominational division.

So you know there will be trouble with people of the different denominations.

I do not think it is that bad and out of hand.

I do not have anyone on ignore.

It could be some people are sensitive and take it harshly if someone disagrees with them.

But the person did not mean any disrespect.

I do not like when people come on here with the attitude listen all you saints, hearken unto me, for I will tell you things that you have not come to understand yet.

When we call ourselves Christians, and many read the Bible, and they do not know us.

It is true they do say something no one knows because it is not the truth.

And worse of an interpretation that others have.

We all study different things, and in more detail about something, so we will learn different, and on different levels.

I can tell you things that you might not know, or might not know as well, and you can tell me things I might not know, or might not know as well.

I post scriptures and what I believe what it means.

If someone posts that it is wrong through scripture than I will accept it.

Which I am not guided by what denominations teach and stick to any one of them iron clad that it has to be right in that area.

So there is no hindrance to correct me.

Which some people are iron clad about the blueprint of their denomination.

So there will be squabbles there.

They will defend their denomination and it could be a blow to their ego.

Like they can't believe they believed that in the first place.

For they are smarter than that.

Sometimes we can blind ourselves because of arrogance.

Which we see when we point out scriptures that plainly correct them but they still will not believe it.

Denominations and ego win out a lot and they will fight tooth and nail.

And mainly on Christian websites because it is not face to face so it is easier.

Like it is easier for a 30 year old man, jobless, pimply faced, and living in his parents basement to talk to women on the internet.

The ole internet where you can be what you want to be even if you are considered a loser in real life.

Huh well BDF has had that rep for a long time, but I don't feel its actually that bad, if people can accept that people will have different interpretations of Scripture and it won't necessarily be the same. Because not everyone reads the entire Bible or even the same one.

Think about it, the first two people were born in this world were sinless, and blameless. How long did that last? Possibly the first two brothers ever in existence, and one killed the other.

Personally, I think it's just gonna get worse, not better. Right now, I'm just being grateful, that no one stabbed me, or punched me in the face today. Small victories. lol The world is sick in my opinion. I don't like this world, it's disgusting. I want to remind the clock. Everything is just big mess. You got people so many people angry, I'm not even sure I want to think what they are capable of any more.

I watched a video, that said, we are now in the time of Matthew 24:12. I can't argue this. I really believe it's true in my heart. People are so bent out of shape, and truly mean. I mean really, really mean. Like what the hell happened to this world?

Matthew 24:12 And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold.

It's like freely talking isn't safe any more, if you someone disgrees with you, they feel that they can now stab you, or harm you. This world is sick, I don't think it's just a CC thing, it's a global problem.

I've been personally villified on here, (CC) and it hasn't stopped me posting, so I guess there's that.
I have had to say though, to one person, please STOP, and they wouldn't they just kept right on dissing me (under guise of 'correcting') when I showed them scripture of something that I thought would be obvious to anyone who read through the entire story!

It was about Mean Girls in the Bible, and one poster was going 'oh Sarah wasn't mean to Hagar' 'Hagar was mean to Sarah.' Well they were both mean to each other, but Sarah started it lol.

Sarah was the bully, just as Saul (later Paul) was. They were like, the chief sinners in the Bible, and they couldn't even see when they were in the wrong. They thought they were always right, even to the point of being above God! I mean what is that.
 
Cute.. well not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ its the power of GOD unto salvation. Pfft the Gospel 101.. but now we go back to Gospel 100. Lets take Paul.. you know in the NT? Just playing... do you know when he wrote this one thing I do? Forgetting those things that are behind. So whats this post about? What are focusing on? I don't care what post you did said .. I am never one to go back and see all those posts someone said and then bring them up so everyone can see. I don't care.. its under the blood. I say this all the time to lol.. those "exposed" videos.. which I stopped watching so so so long ago. They oddly never show you all the good someone did does for Jesus Christ. Someone bothered you.. talk to them..

Well I don't care about that either - it was some silly misunderstanding.

God cares. And the important thing was, when Sarah was cruel to Hagar, God saw and had pity and mercy on her . Hagar cried and He saw her.

Paul gave up his bullying ways. Jesus practically had to knock him off his high horse to do so.

It's important, when you are feeling bullied/being bullied, to call on God. I mean, that's like the entire point of the Gospel!!!

I agree; good post. The spirit of antichrist seems to be winning the world-wide spiritual war (1John 2:18, 22, 4:3, 2John 1:7),
and as we oppose/try to stop evil (Jam. 4:7), we pray for the Lord's will to be done soon (Matt. 6:10, Rev. 22:20).

I apologize if I came off a bit harsh but it needed to be said although I admit I was very frustrated and could have said it better. My deepest desire is that people grow closer to God not just as some distant being in heaven not just as their savior and Lord but to have a truly intimate bond with him to understand there is a whole other level with him that few know of but everyone has access to.
You know I cried a couple nights ago not tears of sadness but of love for God. Moments like that are beautiful they only come from the intimacy I spoke of.Have you ever cried like that? To love someone so deeply that just thinking of them makes you cry? The way your heart aches for them melts for them the ay you can feel your heart going soft for them? how your very soul groans for them?

I have been observing this problem for over 50 years. It is the result of our still being in our sinful nature. We are on the path to perfection, but we have not gotten there yet, our sinful nature is still often leading us despite our claims of victory through Christ over it. We need to work to become aware of what is pushing our behavior and then actively work against it, but it can be hard when it feels so good to just go along with the old habits..
