I have been trying to tell you what Jesus said "dead," means.

Can you acknowledge that much?
You keep diverting away with your own choice details.

"Let the (spiritually) dead bury their own (physically) dead."
Of course I acknowledge what Jesus meant, we were ALL (spiritually) dead in trespasses and sins. But that doesn't mean that we didn't have a spirit, all living humans have a spirit, unregenerated or not, that's my point.

That wasn't the point, and you know it. You said that the soulish man has no spirit, I said ALL people have spirits. You keep trying to duck truth. Can you show, in scripture, where a living, breathing person has no spirit, unregenerated or not?
Pschukikos man means having no spirit, only a soul.

The Holy Spirit must beget our human spirit in regeneration!

John 3:6

"Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit."

What does that tell you?
.
......

I said ALL people have spirits.

All people ARE spirits that possess a soul who live in a body
Man is a 3 part being just like God is (1 Thessalonians 5:23)

God is a Spirit (John 4:24) and God said He made man in His Image (Genesis 1:26)

Funny how some claim God lied.

RE- generation= generated again. Man CANNOT live without a spirit, regenerated or not. The body without the spirit is (physically) dead. The Spirit re-generates a dormant spirit, not an absent one

Do you believe it is the indwelling of the Holy Spirit that makes us (the church) spiritually alive?

OT saints did not receive the indwelling....
And, very very few ever received the filling of the Holy Spirit.

Then again... there is such a thing as using the phrase "animating spirit."
The life in a body.

And. also used.. Like team spirit. Like saying a race horse is spirited.

Not everything "spirit" speaks of the human spirit as you claim.

Either way? Dormant means non functional. As good as not being there.

He believes that God walks one through a door to show them about salvation.
Then, God tells him...

Go get it boy!
Let's see if you have what it takes to be saved.

Ephesians 2:8-9 Disciples’ Literal New Testament
For by grace you are saved through faith. And this is not from you.
It is the gift of God— not of works, in order that no one may boast.

I grew up knowing people who loved to boast over others about something they had done.
Sadly, its a sin that some have a natural weakness for.

That kind of believer is a likely candidate for thinking they can do something to not lose their salvation.
It makes them feel they are better than some others...
Others that they see as being losers.

So? LOSERS of their salvation?
They are made targets that they enjoy thinking they are winners over.

Its a sin that has not yet been dealt with....

I see the "I can lose my salvation" crowd as putting more emphasis on their behaviour for salvation rather than the grace of God.

I would rather rely on the fidelity of God's promises to me than my promise to God. I know I can't always keep my promises no matter how much I may desire to be faithful. 🙃

I see the "I can lose my salvation" crowd as putting more emphasis on their behavior for salvation rather than the grace of God.

And the OSAS crowd is claiming God has not called His people to walk in agreement with Him in obedience which is why they claim it's all good if people want to walk with the devil in sinful behavior in opposition to the Lord.

This is why the OSAS crowd follows the ear ticklers because they enjoy engaging in a little sinful behavior themselves every now and again and they still wanna feel good bout themselves so they cooked up this cockamamie false OSAS doctrine in their attempt to provide cover for themselves and their sinful buddies in their Greasy Grace Social Club (GGSC)

When reading Gal 6:7,8 if one claims we DO reap corruption when we sin, then they are admitting they do not believe OSAS / Eternal security doctrine (and sadly many of their friends will forsake them!).... and if one claims we DO NOT reap what we sow, then according to Gal 6:7, that would be mocking God!

So Gal 6:7,8 is quite the quandary, quite the state of uncertainty and perplexity for the adherents of OSAS doctrine.

What church do you attend?

Are these fellow members of your congregation?

HigherGospel?
DallasMan?
Stan_the_Man?
JimmyTheLock?

They were all banned from Christian forums, and it sounds like you are getting your message from the same pulpit.

Interesting... hmmmm.

You are being like Chubby Checker, doing the twist. We were talking about your claim that people can have a soul but not a spirit. I never claimed that every spirit is human. I see now that you just want to be right but " Let God be true and every man a liar." Have a good day.

No, dormant simply means in suspended animation; still living.

Your definition “as good as not being there” is being dead; non living. A good example is the cemetery.

I am responding to someone that claims one can have a soul but not a spirit. I can't start with what you posted, they're too far away.

No.. Mary was a human being just like the rest of us.. She had the knowledge of good and evil inherited from her ancestors just as we do..

The doctrine of Mary being sinless and Mary being a virgin for her entire life are inventions of the catholic church, nothing to do with actual Biblical Revelation..
Right. I was saying Jesus was sinless--not Mary.

Mary was a sinner like every other human on earth. If she wasnt she wouldnt have had to be full of grace. Grace is undeserved favor. Jesus didnt have marys dna nor Joseph's. Because both carried adams sin in thier inheritance just like we were.. the baby was imputed into marys womb.god needed her womb . By the holy spirit. Jesus had no sin because he didnt have marys or josephs dna
Above my pay grade!

The Bible reveals that they sin nature is transferred biologically to the flesh in reproduction by the male's sperm.
That is why it says sin entered the world through one man (Romans 5:12), even though the woman was the first sinner.

The woman's ovum does not transfer the sin nature.
That is why we see the odd wording found in Genesis 3:15.

And I will put enmity
Between you and the woman,
And between your seed and her Seed;
He shall bruise your head,
And you shall bruise His heel.”

There was no mention of the man's seed in Genesis 3:15.
The woman's ovum itself does not introduce the defective genes to produce a sin nature.

If Adam never fell?
His seed and Eve's ovum would not have had the sin nature enter the world!
For their child would have been born without a sin nature, like Jesus was.

That is why God used Mary's ovum to produce the body of Jesus.
The Holy Spirit provided the perfect genetic materials needed to fertilize the ovum of Mary!

I believe mankind is called Satan's seed because Satan introduced the fall of Adam which resulted with man having a fallen nature.
Like, George Washington is referred to as the father of the USA.
I don't know. Mary's ovum could constitute a sinful product, just like every other part of her being that operates independent of her will and yet is part of Mary. God could either heal her DNA or produce an independent DNA that replicates her own defective cells and molecules.

But Joseph's sexual act was a corrupt work that God prohibited in producing a child for both Joseph and Mary. Mary was no less flawed than Joseph.

And the OSAS crowd is claiming God has not called His people to walk in agreement with Him in obedience which is why they claim it's all good if people want to walk with the devil in sinful behavior in opposition to the Lord.

Were saved by obedience?
Or, saved by grace?

Obedience to God's plan is for the believer following salvation.
Not, causes salvation.
Faith is the fruit.
Obedience should follow if the believer is not thinking evil thoughts.

Obedience brings blessings and benefits to the believer.
Disobedience brings God's discipline with a loss of blessings and benefits.

Now? Will you stop calling Jesus a liar?
What you say is what Satan would want believers to believe.
Stop being his mouthpiece.

Romans 8:38-39

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons,
neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth,
nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of
God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Stop lying against the Truth.
You might not even be saved the way you lust to lie against God's Word!

If Jesus did not have Mary's DNA?
Jesus could not have been a son of David, as promised to David.
Jesus is the promised "Son of David," the Messiah, who fulfills the Old Testament covenant
that a descendant of David would reign on an everlasting throne (2 Samuel 7:12-16).

It is possible, because...
The woman's ovum does not transfer the sin nature.
The man's sperm does that.

That is why Genesis 3:15 says Jesus would be from the "seed of the woman."
