You are making connections that are not there. Adding what is not written. It being a sin praying for others is not in the Ten. IF IT WAS THEN THERE WOULD BE NO POINT IN REPEATING IT in the Book of the Law.
Incidently I would go as far to say most on this forum did not know it was a sin not to pray for others. And that it was sin not to teach the word of God.
As matter of fact I would say YOU did not know it was sin not to pray for others.
But I could be wrong.
Not in the broad all encompassing sense you are trying to ADD. The context is in relation to a married couple. PERIOD. Not good to add what is not. Verse 31 sets the context.
Matt 5:27 Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery:
Matt 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
Matt 5:29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
Matt 5:30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.
Matt 5:31 It hath been said, Whosoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorcement:
Matt 5:32 But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.
No mentioned the mercy but you. You said Christ's blood only covers the Ten Commandments. That is untrue.
That is all that is being said here.
Not sure where you got that from.
Where did I say the law of Moses was under the mercy seat?
Stayed focused please. This is extremely important to me.
I am an SDA but
@Vassel you said you are not an Adventist. With being understood I am a bit perplexed as to why you are dogmatic about this false doctine that some Adventist share.
