That isn't hyper-Calvinism, just Calvinism. Hyper-Calvinism tends to say that it is wrong to preach the gospel to all, and that God's sovereignty does away with human responsibility.
David, I don't wish to debate the issue, but on several Forums, Brightframe52 denies human free will. That makes him, Hyper Calvinist.
His understanding of God's sovereignty is extreme determinism.

Not so. Calvinists believe in the bondage of the will. Luther wrote a book, The Bondage of the Will. Luther wasn't even a Calvinist, let alone a hyper-Calvinist. (Sorry, I know you don't want to debate the issue so I'll leave it there.)

In the passage I quoted from Ephesians, Paul writes that Christians were predestined to adoption as sons of God. Are you saying that a person can go to heaven without being adopted into God's family, or that such adoption only concerns sanctification, or being conformed to the image of the Lord Jesus Christ?
No, what we are saying it THIS:

Predestined = "to (yet future ) obtain a thing".

These "THINGS" are predestined for us":

God has chosen ***THESE THINGS, namely*** blamelessness, conformation to His image, justification, adoption, obtaining an inheritance and glory ***FOR those*** who WILL believe, those who WILL CHOOSE to enter the covenant.

But Paul in writing to the Ephesian Christians tells them that God had predestined, not a thing, but "us", that is, himse3lf and his Christian readers:

(Eph 1:3) Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ,
(Eph 1:4) just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love,
(Eph 1:5) having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will,

Good grief man get up to speed on your reading comprehension.

Predestined = (prepared) DESTINATION.

DESTINATION......FUTURE. God's plan for our FUTURE.

FUTURE! As far as we are concerned.
God has planned these blessing in eternity past that WE fully RECEIVE in the FUTURE.

God has chosen ***THESE THINGS, namely*** blamelessness, conformation to His image, justification, adoption, obtaining an inheritance and glory ***FOR those*** who WILL believe, those who WILL CHOOSE to enter the covenant.

That's the gist of προορίζω proorizó, SG4309.

And this term NEVER, EVER pertains to anything about God choosing any individual FOR SALVATION whatsoever and certainly nothing about "pre-birth Calvinistic selection" either.

I am sorry you feel that I don't understand what I read. Regarding the word "predestination", I looked it up in Easton's Bible Dictionary to check, and found that it says this:

This word is properly used only with reference to God s plan or purpose of salvation. The Greek word rendered "predestinate" is found only in these six passages, Ac 4:28 Ro 8:29,30 1Co 2:7 Eph 1:5,11 and in all of them it has the same meaning. They teach that the eternal, sovereign, immutable, and unconditional decree or "determinate purpose" of God governs all events.

McClintock and Strong's Biblical Cyclopedia states:

"I. Definition. — The word predestinate properly signifies to destine (i.e. to set apart, or devote to a particular use, condition, or end) beforehand. It therefore denotes a mere act of the will, and should be carefully distinguished from that exercise of power by which volitions are actualized or carried into effect."

I still say that Paul wrote that God had predestined people - himself and the believers to whom he was writing.

Absolutely, and we are told in 1Co 1:30, that the "us" (above), were specifically and exclusively placed "in Christ" by God alone and not by any of their actions.

[1Co 1:30 KJV] 30 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption:

If you notice carefully, those that are chosen are those 'in Christ'. They are not chosen to BE 'in Christ' but BECAUSE they are ALREADY 'in Christ', to be adopted, to be holy & blameless, to be conformed to the image of Christ. In other words, Election is CORPORATE. Not individual.
Matthew 16

17 ;Jesus answered and said to him, “Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.

Many have probably realised i don't think we can exercise free will, even think it's impossible for us to. Won't explain why i think it's an impossiblility for us yet, think it's useful for some to express why they think it exists first.

I have no doubt we have and can make choices throughout life, however, think our options are far more restricted than most realise. What do you think?
I think we can imagine a world where we could do anything we wanted, but that's only in our imaginations.
For a lot of people, they are not free, they are born into situations that are not of their own choosing.
Children are subject to their parents, slaves to their masters, wives to their husbands,

We can only be free in Christ, but Jesus must first set us free - He sets the captives free, where before we were bound, many to Satans will instead of the Lord's will.

So after we are set free, we can choose to follow the devil, or follow Jesus. This is not to say Satan will try his damnedest to test us and tempt us. But we now have an armour and the truth, so any lies can be extinguished from our lives. Also Jesus gives us His authority, so that we have a power to stomp on snakes and scorpions.

So that is the difference between a Christian and an unbeliever. Study the Lord's prayer and He will show you what He means.

Then you have no choice but to give in to your predestination and forget Gods gift.....

God always knew you would believe in Him.

In knowing that he chose when you were to be born.
If he chose for you to be born in Noah's day?
You would have become a gentile believer.

If he chose for you to be alive in David's day?
You would have become a Jew.

Since God chose you to be alive for the Church age?
In that way? He predestined you to be found in Jesus Christ.
Predestined to become a part of the Bride of Christ.

The Church was God choosing a bride for His Son.
He predestined you to be so.

In Christ ...

Different kind of election I believe.
The terms "elect," "elected," "election," or "chosen" (derived from the Greek eklektos or eklegomai) appear roughly 23 to 30 times in the New Testament alone. However, the subset of these verses that describe individuals being chosen by God for salvation before the foundation of the world, often counting around 19 to 36 key passages that refer to individual salvation rather than corporate, national, or functional choice (like choosing a disciple or a prophet).
Ephesians 1:4–5 & 2 Thessalonians 2:13: Emphasize being chosen before the world's foundation and destined for salvation.
Romans 8:29–30 & 9:11–13: Focus on divine predestination and God’s purpose in calling.
John 15:16 & 2 Timothy 1:9: Highlight that election is not based on human works or merit.
Acts 13:48 & 1 Peter 1:2: Refer to being appointed to eternal life and chosen according to God's foreknowledge.

Chosen, yes. The others, debatable.

Because Jesus is the Elect One, and because I am in union with Him, it could be said, I am 'elect'. But only 'Elect in the Son".
The Elect are those who are in Christ, the Elect One.

So, debate/discuss/explain why elect/chosen/in Christ does not also mean saved, justified, redeemed, sanctified, reborn, etcetera.

Why did Jesus die for the sins of the WHOLE WORLD and not just for the elects sakes? Why was God's hope be that " NONE perish "? He couldn't have meant " the elect " as part of that "none", could He?

Jesus atoned for all sins because God loves everyone/hates none. Can we?
