Correct. Augustine seems to be the originator and worst offender.Good point, Spiritwalker. Calvinism, on the face of it, is a misrepresentation of God's nature of impartial justice in balance with His incomprehensible love for mankind. It is interesting that no Christian father leader, pastor or apologist taught this for 400 years until the Bishop Augustine came in the fifth century.
Augustine was steeped in gnostic and heretical dogma. His errant views are a syncretism of many of these.
Augustine's eschatology is likewise a heretical train wreck.
