Try listening to the book of psalms.

Whenever I have anger issues or stress or anxiety or I’ve been wronged, I listen to the book of psalms on the ESV app

I'm sorry for your loss. There are no words to express how we feel when we lose family.

Anger is a natural response to pain.
There are many things that I learned from the Lord as to appropriate ways to cope. They are easier said than done, but must be learned to utilize them.

When I progressed through a series of life changing negative events, I learned how physically damaging and life threatening the chronic stress hormones can be. Depression and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder PTSD can result. Physically that can cause a cascade of organ damage. The best thing is to continue asking as you have, and mainly from God. Then seek His answers. There are many areas that need addressed Biblically and holistically....body, soul and spirit.

Why do we get angry? Because we believe we have 'a right' to be treated a certain way. As Christians, we have to give up those rights. We have to die to them. Only then will we have a meek and gentle spirit.

Try to figure out why u r angry , who r u angry with etc . I know that if I don't get enough sleep I definitely get very cranky , I also used to get snappy around the time of my period . Sit and have a think about your day , when did u first get angry that day , what were the circumstances ? U could even b carrying anger from the previous day . Sometimes stress comes out as anger , do u have anything on your mind , something u r worried about ? Is someone or something stressing u out ? Do u have too much to do and not enough time to do it ? There r a million reasons why we can get angry and , if we think about it carefully , we can usually figure it out ourselves though , it does require effort and , we must b honest with ourselves about our thoughts and feelings . I hope u get to the bottom of it so that u can find some peace ❤️

Im angry at my dad for things he did i hate him so much.im not sleeping at night i am always stressed my stress leves are vetry high and i always worrie about my daughter even through she dead i miss her so much i want to self harm and i always want to commit suicide a

Which rights are you referring to here? I'll list some that I'm hoping you aren't referring to.

Respect
Dignity
Kindness

These things are exactly how we ought to be treated. It's inherent and assumed. When someone isn't treated with respect, for example, they have every right to be angry, hurt, and in no way think to themselves, "it's the Christian way to deal with this." That only leads to more anger. Covering those emotions up with a Christian montra and scripture doesn't deal with the core issue. I don't think I'll ever understand why people think the way you do.

Jesus calls us to 'deny self', 'die to self' etc. This does not mean the destruction of our 'self', but rather its dethronement as the ruling power in our lives and the enthronement of Jesus as Lord. One of the out workings of this reality is to die to our 'rights' and lay them at the feet of Jesus, till such time as He lifts us up and restores us. As I wrote in my previous post, much carnal anger occurs when we insist on our rights. My right to be well thought of, my right to my own opinions, and of those you mentioned.
The problem many Christians have with this, is the fact that they have been influenced by 'pop-psychology' that is very self-centered.
The world says insist on your rights, stand on your rights, you have a right to this and to that. Jesus, however, leads us to the Cross so we may die to our 'selfism' and its rights that we might rise in His resurrection life, clothed in His likeness.

Here comes the "psychology lesson":
In psychology, anger is widely considered a secondary emotion. It usually acts as a defense mechanism
or a "security guard," surging forward to protect you from underlying, more vulnerable feelings.

Before anger surfaces, you typically experience a primary emotion. These primary feelings
are uncomfortable and make us feel exposed or powerless. Common examples include:

  • Fear or anxiety
  • Hurt or rejection
  • Shame or embarrassment
  • Sadness or grief
  • Helplessness or a loss of control
Anger often comes first only in immediate physical responses (like reacting to a sudden threat), but in
most relational or personal conflicts, it serves as a reaction to these hidden, more fragile emotions.

Understanding which emotion comes first allows you to address the root
cause of an issue rather than just treating the symptom. <= from ai overview

I don't honestly believe that any of us have any ' rights ' at all , we certainly don't t have the right to expect other people to treat us a certain way , good or bad . We may wish them to , we may expect them to but , we have no ' right ' to . I don't expect anything from anyone , the only thing we r in control of and therefore responsible for , is our own behaviour . Our behaviour is what we will have to give account of , no one else's .
This is part of our growth as humans and as Christians , to learn to cope with this world and all its hideousness without allowing it to come between ourselves and our God . If we r always in distress about the ways of the world , people being impolite , rude , selfish etc , we can turn ourselves into perpetual victims and start to act and think like a victim . There r many many people in this world who suffer truly horrific things at the hands of others . They r real victims .
We r to b made of tougher stuff because , we r in extremely privileged positions , we can petition the God of all creation . If we ask Him , He will strengthen us and protect us , physically , mentally , emotionally and spiritually .
We have to learn to trust Him , lean on Him and show His love to the world , the same world that hated Jesus and crucified him . God will give us the strength to do this if we ask Him . We can't do this if we have a victim mentality . We r not victims . We r Christians .

I know What you are saying, and I get the point And just those are literally all my emotions, including anger, grief, sadness. Shame l Lost of control Including depression. Not only that, I also cut myself, I always have suicide thoughts. I just wish I didn't have all these emotions But hopefully soon. I'll be Okay, soon.\n I won't have to worry about all these emotions. Thank you for your response. I hope you read me back.\nSoon

Luke 4:18 & 19

“The Spirit of the Lord is on Me, because He has anointed Me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent Me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to release the oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord’s favor.”

Lord Jesus in effect told us to take a day at a time. All He asks is that we trust Him. Let Him take care of you. He died in your place. What else does He need to do to show that He loves you?

I suggest that you consecrate yourself to the Lord Jesus as His willing and voluntary servant. Let your life go from your control to His.

Do you study God's word? You will discover the wonderful blessings that are yours in Christ. Love, peace, joy, patience........what ever you need in life is already yours in Christ. Go on a "treasure hunt" to discover what is yours. Then thank God for it.

Lord Jesus said that He came so that we could have abundant life. Many believers think that means a better lifestyle. No, it literally means a better life source. Jesus said that He is The Life. Jesus lives in every believer to be all that they should be but cannot be. Ask Him to live out His life in you, through you and in place of who you were before he saved you. There is no greater peace and joy. Circumstances will no longer dictate how you feel.

Where's the fun in that ? Besides , life is an act of faith , we have to grow in faith and that means just trusting in God , not walking by sight , not knowing what life has in store for us is important in our development as Christians . All we know for sure is that God is faithful . His plan for u isn't about this world , it's about the next , that's where He wants u too b , in His Kingdom . In the meantime , u have to wade through this world as best as u can with God at your side . There is no better company to b in .
