So, the President is going to read to us from the Bible?

There are additional words from God we should consider when thinking of a national leader reading the Bible to his people:

But to the wicked God says: “What right have you to recite my statutes, or take my covenant on your lips? For you hate discipline, and you cast my words behind you. (Ps 50:16-17, RSV)

But when they came to the nations, wherever they came, they profaned my holy name, in that men said of them, ‘These are the people of the LORD, and yet they had to go out of his land.’ But I had concern for my holy name, which the house of Israel caused to be profaned among the nations to which they came. (Ezek 36:20-21, RSV)

How long will it be before a President may decide to read to us from the Koran? The rule of civil government is one thing, the rule in the spiritual, the church is another. Keep them separate, yes, separation of Church and State.

They said, “Caesar’s.” Then he said to them, “Render therefore to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s.” (Matt 22:21, RSV)

No such thing as separation of church and state. It was written in a letter, surely all Americans know that history by now. No way can you separate church from state, especially this day in age.

Disclosure: I did vote for Trump both in 2020 and 2024.

However, I don't think I've ever seen a President in my lifetime (from either party) who has been idolized as much as he has been.

I don't consider myself to be MAGA; I was voting for (what I believed at the time to be) the "less bad" option.

I am conservative politically, but I do not support the New Apostolic Reformation (NAR), Word of Faith (WoF), Dominionism, Theonomy or Christian Nationalism.

I don't idolize Trump and I have lots of family and friends that support him and they don't idolize him either. Nor do I support any of the isms. But I do believe America was founded on Christianity and there is no reason not to have the 10 Commandments in public buildings.

"From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. My brethren, this ought not to be so. Does a spring pour forth from the same opening fresh water and brackish? Can a fig tree, my brethren, yield olives, or a grapevine figs? No more can salt water yield fresh." (Jas 3:10-12, RSV)

If it weren't so sad, Trump reading the Bible in public is laughable!

When the antichrist becomes our world leader, he's not going to read from the Bible, but demand your allegiance and loyalty.

You won't even be allowed to criticize him on these forums.

So enjoy Pres. Trump while you can. You're going to miss these days when the antichrist is your world-leader who you won't have voted for.

It is good to read your post. I too have voted for Donald Trump the 3 times he has run for President because the alternative just seemed unthinkable! But, with the drift of the country now, my votes of any importance will be in the Primaries, and I may have to just sit out the National elections in the future. The attack on the American rule of separation of "Church" and State" is astounding and quite scary! Church/evangelical establishments, stay out of our government, and Washington, stay out of the Churches!

Take a look at the site Wall Builders and read some American history, particularly about separation of church and state.

It's already happening in Canada, you're not allowed to criticize the PM.

Trump is reading from Chronicles, so Christ won't be preached.
TDS runs deep in many.

You folks would rather have him read out of the koran, sacrifice thousands and take over the world........Just to keep your TDS.

You guys are legitimately sick.

Like every other president before him, he's a politician.
I've prayed for him and realize he's gone through unspeakable persecution. He's accomplished more good in his first 6 months than any that I'm aware of.
However, he's not beyond reproach or criticism from his Christian supporters.
His actions recently are counter to the reasons most voted for him.

It looks to me like he's trying to save face, his former supporters by reading the Bible and meeting with his "Christian" preachers.

Let's face it, he gave himself a big black eye and this seems like an ice pack and some makeup to make it look better.

I'm just reading up on the antichrist and previous antichrists such as Hitler. Many pastors and theologians see him as a type or foreshadowing of the final antichrist. They say the final antichrist will be much worse.

This is why I'm enjoying Pres. Trump right now. Nothing he does won't be as bad as when we are all under the oppressive authority of the antichrist and his mark.

Obama did the same thing. We(constitutional conservatives) knew that Christian democrats did not and would not consider Hussein Obama Christ.

But the left are so sick with TDS, they have no objective brain cells left.

Heck, the left would think Trump was Christ if he did a flip and gave them all they wanted.

Have you heard the story about St Peter showing new arrivals around heaven. He was showing them all the sites when they came to a high wall, someone asked what was it for. Keep your voice down, said St Peter, that's where the Americans are, they think they are the only ones here.

And that is the lie of the main stream deception crew.

Back in the 1980's Trump was signifying the problems with Iran and his strategy for a resolution. And He has always been very vocal about it.

He is tough on boarder security.
He is tough on fraud.
He is tough on criminals.
He is for less government and more personal responsibility.
He is for a traditional/biblical family unit.
He is for Israel.
He is for bringing down terrorism.

And the left is AGAINST every one of these.

You must think peer pressure works, but we're not junior high school anymore

If it's not in the Bible, then I don't care. Worry about your own country. The antichrist will rule Australia too.
