The word "gospel" means "good news." Jesus preached the gospel of the kingdom to Israel. John the Baptist also preached the gospel of the kingdom, which was, "..Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." (Matthew 3:2)
Jesus Christ sent the twelve to preach only to Israel. Matthew 10:5 - These twelve Jesus sent out and commanded them, saying: “Do not go into the way of the Gentiles, and do not enter a city of the Samaritans. 6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel. 7 And as you go, preach, saying, ‘The kingdom of heaven is at hand.’ The disciples were specifically told to go only to the people of Israel, and "Pre Cross" they were not yet preaching anything about the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ. This shows that before the cross, the more distinct element to the content of the gospel of the grace of God that Paul taught and came to him through a revelation of Jesus Christ (Galatians 1:11-12) was still a mystery.
Now Peter had no clue that Jesus Christ would be crucified, buried and resurrected, yet he did believe that Jesus was the Messiah. This is obvious when, only moments later, Peter rebukes Jesus Christ for saying he will be killed, and be raised again the third day" (Matthew 16:21). In verse 22, "..Peter took him and began to rebuke him, saying, “Far be it from You, Lord; this shall not happen to You!” Before his death, Jesus told the twelve that he had to die and that he would rise on the third day. Looking back upon this passage we see this as Jesus speaking of an event that would change everything! However, it is unquestionable that the disciples were ignorant of its meaning.
After His crucifixion, instead of anxiously waiting his resurrection, the apostles were still ignorant, disheartened at the death of their redeemer, and did not even at first believe the testimony of his resurrection. (Mark 16:14, Luke 24:19-24) It was not until after his resurrection that Jesus appeared to the apostles and opened their understanding. (Luke 24:44-47)
There is a more distinctive element to the content of the gospel which Paul received from Christ and is called "the mystery of the gospel." (see Ephesians 6:19 and compare with Colossians 1:26-27; 4:3) This new revelation is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs and fellow members of the body, and fellow partakers of the promise. (Ephesians 3:6) Such equality, Jew and Gentile united together in one body was previously unknown. The distinctive message of the church is that Jew and Gentile alike may believe the gospel and be united together into one body. (Ephesians 1:13; 1 Corinthians 12:13) Are you willing to hear?
Mark 16:16 - He who believes and is baptized will be saved (general cases without making a qualification for the unusual case of someone who believes but is not baptized) but he who does not believe will be condemned. The omission of baptized with "does not believe" shows that Jesus does not make baptism absolutely necessary for salvation. Condemnation rests on unbelief and not on a lack of baptism. *NOWHERE does the Bible say, "baptized or condemned."
If water baptism was absolutely required for salvation, then we would expect Jesus to mention it in the following verses. (3:15,16,18; 5:24; 6:29,40,47; 11:25,26) Yet what is the ONE requirement that Jesus mentions NINE different times in each of these complete statements *BELIEVES. *What happened to baptism *Hermeneutics.
*If he who believes shall be saved then he who believes and is baptized shall be saved as well. Yet who will be condemned?
John 3:18 - He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who (is not water baptized? - NO) does not believe is condemned already, because he has not (been water baptized? - NO) because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
The gospel is the "good news" of the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ and is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who BELIEVES.. (Romans 1:16) To "believe" the gospel is to trust in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ as the ALL-sufficient means of our salvation. The gospel is hid to those who DO NOT BELIEVE.. (2 Corinthians 4:3,4) The other gospel that Paul is talking about is a works-based false gospel. My Pastor recently started a new series at church in the book of Galatians. I believe this sermon could be very helpful for you. The sermon starts 23 minutes and 30 seconds into the video.

Water baptism "follows" believing unto salvation. In Acts 8:36-37, the eunuch asked what hindered him from being baptized and Phillip said if you believe with all your heart, you may. The eunuch answered, "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God." Notice in John 20:31, we read - but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name. He was saved when he believed and water baptism "followed."
Another ridiculous straw man argument. I neither remove Jesus' word from salvation nor reject the majority of what He says. Jesus never contradicted Paul and Paul never contradicted Jesus. You need to stop cherry-picking pet verses and consider the TOTALITY of Scripture. ALL scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness. (2 Timothy 3:16)

You are claiming the "both" is the Father and the Son.
If the covenant is only between the Father and the Son then the bride has no say so in this arrangement.

The omission of "believes alone" shows that Jesus does not make redemption a faith alone issue. Condemnation rests on disobedience and not simply unbelief. "NOWHERE does the Bible say, "faith alone or condemned".
If faith alone was absolutely the only thing required for salvation, then we would expect Jesus to mention "alone" in the following verses. 3:15,16,18; 5:24; 6:29,40,47; 11:25,26) Yet when is the One time "faith alone" is mentioned in the entire New Testament? James 2:24 "You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone." What happened to justified by faith alone. *Hermeneutics
There are numerous passages of scripture which make it clear that man is saved through belief/faith - "apart from additions or modifications." (John 1:12; 3:15,16,18,
36; 5:24; 6:29,40,47; 11:25,26; Acts 10:43; 13:38-39; 15:7-9; 16:31; 26:18; Romans 1:16; 3:24-28; 4:5-6; 5:1-2; 10:4; 1 Corinthians 1:21; Galatians 2:16; 3:6-14, 26; Ephesians 2:8,9; Philippians 3:9; 2 Timothy 3:15; Hebrews 10:39; 1 John 5:13 etc..).
Now you don't need to "add" the word "alone" next to "belief/faith" in each of those passages of scripture in order to figure out that the words, "belief/faith" stand alone in connection with receiving eternal life/salvation. Hence, FAITH ALONE. Do these many passages of scripture say belief/faith "plus something else?" Plus, baptism? Plus, works? NO. So, then it's faith (rightly understood) in Jesus Christ alone.
This is not to be confused with an empty profession of faith/dead faith that remains alone/barren of works. (James 2:14) Now James is not using the word "justified" in James 2:24 to mean "accounted as righteous" but is shown to be righteous. James is discussing the evidence of faith (says-claims to have faith but has no works/I will show you my faith by my works - James 2:14-18) and not the initial act of being accounted as righteous with God. (Romans 4:2-3)
It is through faith "in Jesus Christ alone" (and not based on the merits of our works) that we are justified on account of Christ (Romans 4:5-6; 5:1; 5:9); yet the faith that justifies does not remain alone (unfruitful, barren) if it is genuine. (James 2:14-24) *Perfect Harmony.*
Matthew 24:13 But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.
There is no once saved always Saved the LORD said you must endure to the END to be Saved!

If you need to shoehorn "alone" into all 29 passages that you have cited to support your Faith Alone Regeneration Theology I strongly suggest you rethink your theology.
I accept all of these verses without the need to use them to negate other verses.
I believe we must repent and be baptized so that our sins will be forgiven.
Unlike you, I would never dream of adding "alone" into the meaning of Acts 2:38 or other verses.
You insisting that alone is needed in your verses, takes away the harmony of the scriptures.

You still don't understand the difference between faith that trusts in Jesus Christ "alone" for salvation (Romans 4:5-6; Ephesians 2:8,9) and an empty profession of faith/dead faith that remains "alone" barren of works. (James 2:14-24) This remains your Achilles heel. You need to put down your shoehorn and place your faith in Jesus Christ "alone" for salvation and not in works.
