All of Scripture is true, so the Gospel shiny be interpreted as contradicting OT laws and vice versa. In Matthew 4:15-23, Jesus began his ministry with the Gospel message to repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand, which was a light to the Gentiles, and OT laws were how his audience knew what sin is, so repenting from our disobedience to them is a central part of the Gospel of the Kingdom/Grace.
Which covenant were the Gentile nations under?

Which covenant were the Jews under?

Was Jesus only sent to Israel or was Jesus sent to the Gentile nations?

In the Mt Sinai covenant between God and Israel is there law that only Israel could obey?

Covenants matter, Soyeong.

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven;

but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Christ stated that HE "did" His Father's will -- "did" is an action word, not just words out of one's mouth.
What Christ did is keep the Torah to perfection -- not one sin, not one transgression and as the example we are to follow.

How can what Christ did, show us the Father's will to perfection -- not be what we are to follow, to DO?
and what Christ DID was obey the Torah to perfection which was and still IS His Father's will
Christ is telling those He does not know --- "THEY" are NOT doing the Father's Will -- but are LAWLESS which is what Iniquity IS!
Christ is pointing to the Many, not to the Few, that call HIM Lord and are doing many wonderful works in His Name.
These are christians and Christ states HE does not Know them!

it is amazing to me the "45,000 kinds" all ignore most of what Christ taught in the four Gospels, they must because the teachings of Christ are counter to what they DO.

22 Many "christian" will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.
5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive ---- many.

Jesus Christ states clearly it is the MANY that are deceived, that are lawless and yet the Many can not allow this into their minds.

for certain the Words of Christ can and are twisted to match what the lawless are willing to do
lawlessness defined by the law is specific to the nation of Israel.

Gentiles were never in covenant to obey the Mosaic law.

For Gentiles there is no such thing as lawlessness to the Mosaic law.

In Paul's letters only Romans and Galatians mention the Mosaic law because Paul is explaining that the law,
is useless for righteousness. In Romans, Paul is explaining why Israel failed in obedience to the law, and
mentions the law 49 times. In Galatians Paul is warning the Galatians not to be circumcised because then they
would be under the law. Paul mentions the law 25 times in Galatians.

In the other 10 letters Paul wrote the law is omitted for good reason.

Which is the first commandment of all? And Jesus answered him , The first of all the commandments is Here , O Israel ; The Lord our God is one Lord : And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart , and with all thy soul , and with all thy mind , and with all thy strength; this is the first commandment.

I must ask the question how many commandments are there ? 10

Are there 2 sets of commandments?
No just one set of commandments.

What seems to be the problem?

think about it .
Huh?

The first commandments in Genesis were to be fruitful, multiply, and fill the earth (Genesis 1:28), often called
the "Creation Mandate". This was followed by instructions to exercise dominion over the Earth and,
in Genesis 2:16-17, to not eat from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil. (AI)

Genesis 9:3
Every moving thing that is alive shall be food for you; I give all to you, as I gave the green plant.

For everyone all food given by YHWH includes plants and animals.

Is adultery mentioned in Genesis?

Abimelech and Sarah (Genesis 20): When Abraham lied and said Sarah was his sister, God intervened to
prevent Abimelech from sleeping with her, calling her a "married woman" and telling Abimelech he was
as "good as dead" if he touched her.

Joseph and Potiphar’s Wife (Genesis 39): Joseph recognized that sleeping with his master's wife was a
"great wickedness" and a "sin against God," even without the Mosaic Law, citing the exclusivity of marriage.

Well yes, committing adultery was a death penalty.

Was murder forbidden in Genesis?

Genesis 9:6
Whoever sheds the blood of man, by man shall his blood be shed, for God made man in his own image.

When Abraham lied it put two other people in grave danger.

Abimelech and Pharoah.

Once Pharaoh learned the truth, he scolded Abraham for the lie and ordered him to leave.

Gentiles were under the rainbow covenant not the Mosaic covenant.

Jews and Gentiles who are part of Israel through faith in Jesus are under the New Covenant, which involves God putting the Torah in our minds and writing it on our hearts (Jeremiah 31:33). Jesus spent his ministry focused on teaching Jews how to obey the Torah by word and by example and then commissioned his disciples to teach the nations everything that he taught them (Matthew 28:16-20). The Sinai Covenant was made between God and Israel, though that included Gentiles who had become followers of the God of Israel.

There is a reality about what is true about the way to know God through embodying His character traits that was true before God made any covenants with man, which has been revealed through His covenants, and which is eternally true regardless of which covenant someone is under. For example, God's righteousness is eternal (Psalm 119:142), therefore all of God's righteous laws are also eternal (Psalm 119:142), so someone who has the goal of knowing God through embodying His righteousness will consider any instructions that Go has given for how to do that to be eternally and cumulatively valid regardless of which covenant they are under. Being a doer of charity was a way to embody God's righteousness before God made any covenants with man, so that is an eternally valid way to know God regardless of which covenant someone is under. The Torah is the way to know, love, glorify, believe in, and testify about the God of Israel through embodying His character, so those who want to do those things should obey God's instructions for how to do them regardless of which covenant they are under, if any.

Christians believe every NT book was/is inspired by Christ, including Hebrews 7:11-10:1,
thus the needed ministry is to harmonize all of his teachings and the OT in light of the NT,
not the reverse, as Judaizers do.
Jesus and the Apostles quoted from or alluded to the OT thousands of times in order support what they were saying, so it doesn't work to take the position that we should follow just what they said but not what they considered to be an authoritative source, especially if you agree that the whole Bible is true. For example, Jesus quoted three times from Deuteronomy in order to defeat the temptations of Satan, which included saying that man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that comes from the mouth of God (Deuteronomy 8:3), so he affirmed God as still being an authoritative source.

The Judaizers most likely didn't have access to the books of the NT because they hadn't been written yet. They were wanting to require Gentiles to become circumcised in order to become saved, which is an unrelated issue.

Ok well, we have already established your theology as heretical. Proven beyond any court's requirements. Nothing you say at this point really matters. We will pray for you to discover the real Jesus.
It absurd to act like the position that followers of Christ should follow his example of obedience to what God has commanded is heretical or to act like the way to discover the real Jesus is by refusing to follow his example.

Mat 19:16-19
16 And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life? 17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments. 18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, 19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.

But if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments..
IT MUST BE THE 10 COMMANDMENTS.

Rev 12:17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

keep the commandments of God
Rev 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Rev 22:14 Blessed are they that do his commandments, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

Ecc 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
The whole duty of Israel.... no the whole duty of all man.

1Jn 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

1Jn 5:3 For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

Mat 5:17-19
17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. 19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

I'm not sure why some people are so fixed on teaching that this law is not valid or void. He shall be called least in kingdom of heaven.

Look you are literally the definition of stupid. I know that sound harsh but follow me. Christianity does not impose the mosaic Law on believers. There is no verse in the bible that teaches this. If you think that it is there you simply have not studied the bible enough and understood Christ work on the cross, the mosaic law and general Christian theology. you cannot have both its either Grace or Law.

(ROM 11:6 And if by grace, then it is no longer of works; otherwise, grace is no longer grace. But if it is of works, it is no longer grace; otherwise work is no longer work.

I don't have a problem being obedient to God, I am not being disobedient by not following the mosaic law. That was not given Gentiles but i have explained that already. If you want to follow the mosaic law you NEED a Levitical priest, a temple and perform sacrifices. But you gain 0, nada, nothing the blessings and curses of the mosaic law is over.

The bible tells us this. But you seem to ignore it. I do not care what you believe what i care about is you polluting Christians with heretical crap denounced in the first century in ACTS 15 and almost the entire book of Galatians.

You are not a follower of Christ you are a worshiper of a dead covenant (an idol) it doesn't take a seer, mystic or angel to determine this; you believe a heretical doctrine and are pushing the idea on Christians exactly like the Judaizers in the new testament. You Ironically probably are not even of Jewish heritage. The root of the tree is Jesus not moses. I have written to you most of the main arguments you have made. The fact that you didn't read them, investigate them and then refute them indicates you are stupid, you post the same drivel like a broken record and like most cult-controlled people, hoping to grasp air while you are drowning.

Christianity is a NEW COVENANT, not like the old one; the mosaic law was flesh and works and new covenant is grace and freedom from the law specifically. I have given you tons of scripture to correct you.

Read Galatians 1 - prove you're not an idiot. here's a write up to refute if you think you can prove your point. Frankly you are proof people are going to be in hell.

Paul identifies himself and makes a quick defense of the fact that he is, in fact, an apostle because Jesus Christ and God the Father made him one. He's not a man-made or self-made apostle (Galatians 1:1–3).

Apparently, Paul's credentials were under attack in Galatia. A group known as the Judaizers were trying to persuade those who believed in Christ, after hearing the gospel from Paul, that they were not truly saved. The Judaizers said they must also follow the Law of Moses. Their message was, in essence, to add a component of "works" to the requirements for salvation.

Paul was furious when he heard some of the Galatian Christians were actually starting to believe this. They had so joyfully received the good news that Jesus died to pay the full price for their sin that Paul is astounded by how quickly they are deserting Christ to follow this "other gospel."

Paul quickly clarifies: There is no "other gospel," only a distortion of the true gospel. With all of his authority as an apostle, Paul declares that anyone who teaches any other gospel other than what Paul taught them is "accursed" or eternally condemned. That stands even if Paul himself or an angel from heaven would try to teach them a different gospel. Paul stands on the truth that salvation comes by God's grace alone through faith alone in Christ's payment for our sin on the cross (Galatians 1:4–9).

To defend the true gospel, Paul must also defend the fact that he is truly an apostle. In New Testament terms, an apostle was someone who spent time with Christ and was officially sent by Christ to be His representative in the world. The Judaizers apparently were saying that Paul didn't qualify; he wasn't one of the original 12 disciples. In fact, they said he was merely taught by those other apostles, giving him no authority to speak for Christ on his own. Paul answered their charges by showing, from the story of his life before and after his conversion, that none of the other apostles trained him. Instead, Christ was revealed to him, as was the truth of the gospel of the grace of God.

Paul emphasizes that he knows just as much about Judaism as any of his accusers. After all, he persecuted and tried to destroy Christianity as a zealous young Pharisee. But then God showed His Son to Paul, and everything changed. Paul understood that he had been selected even before his birth to preach the gospel to the Gentiles. After his conversion, he didn't go to the apostles, he went off by himself for three years, coming to know the truth of the gospel through special revelations from God. Even after that, he preached in Syria and Cilicia for a time. Though he had met with Peter and Jesus' brother James at one point, he was unknown in the region around Jerusalem and Judea. All that was known about him was the radical change from Jesus-persecutor to Jesus-preacher (Galatians 1:10–24).

1Jn 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

Are you a transgressor?
If you do not obey the law you are a sinner.

We are all sinners, but we are told to "go and sin NO MORE".

Rom 8:4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

1Jn 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.
1st you just dont get it, ive explained this before. if this is true then no sin existed before the law being given at Sinai therefore Adam did not sin.
2nd The mosaic law is for Israel, ive explained that also.
3rd there is Gods law and then there is a subset with a specific purpose called the mosaic law. while we are always bound to Gods law, we are NOT bound to the mosaic law.
4. there is more ways to sin than contained within the 613 laws. therefore this reference to law is about GODS law not the mosaic law. Sin is transgression of Gods law.
5. You are so blinded by the shadows that you cannot see the light.

Gal 5:4 Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
2 Cor 3:15 but even unto this day, when Moses is read, the vail is upon their heart.

let me be clear, you cannot see the new covenant law written to your heart because you don't have the spirit, due to denial the work of Jesus on the cross. My suggestion is that you forget what someone has told you and go to someone who can teach your basics of Christian belief. And no you didnt come up with this heresy on your own. any 5th grade reading of the english, hebrew and greek elements of the bible has never in the history of mankind ever led someone to believe that the mosaic law is in effect and that gentiles are bound to it. No verses suppoort this view it is all based on presupposition... remove that and you may find your way to Christ.

Moreover, Christians follow the NEW set of commands given by jesus. Ill let you fumble with this for a while.. you are all like broken records and think this means the mosaic law. it does not.

you fail to understand
1. Christian Theology
2. The Mosaic Law
3. The Old Covenant
4. The New Covenant
5. The work of Jesus Christ and his blood on the cross.

you aren't arguing with me, you arguing with God. The mosaic law will do nothing for you, but you cannot be saved unless you understand Jesus and who he is and believe in him. You do not do this, You worship a shadow cre4ated by the light to lead you to the light. you cannot see the truth.

whats is really funny and irratating is when i explain what the understanding is of a verse you simply repost the same verse you were using as if I dont understand something. this is because you a cant think for yourelves. you respond like a robot. you have been deceived and believed a lie. this will literally send you to hell.

But if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments..
IT MUST BE THE 10 COMMANDMENTS.
Why? The New Testament does not list keeping the seventh-day Sabbath among commands.
Many Christians consider the Sabbath to be a "shadow" of the rest provided by Christ rather than
a binding moral law. Jesus taught that the "Sabbath was made for man," emphasizing it as a
blessing of rest rather than a burden of rigid legalism.

Psalm 119:142
Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and Your law is truth.

Then you stated "therefore all of God's righteous laws are also eternal (Psalm 119:142)".

As you can see from the verse above that it does not say the law is eternal, it only says the law is truth.

Why would you say the law of Mt Sinai is eternal?

Keeping the law will only grant you a knowledge of sin and not righteousness.

I never saw in the N.T that Gentiles were told to obey the ten commandments.

Jesus was speaking to those under the law and not the Gentiles.

So the question is; why do you tell Gentiles to obey the ten commandments?

You have picked up this idea from somewhere else but where?

Keeping the law will only grant you a knowledge of sin and not righteousness
Righteousness comes from Jesus

But Jesus said "go and sin no more".

We are told .... Rom 8:4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
2Pe 2:21 For it had been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness, than, after they have known it, to turn from the holy commandment delivered unto them.
Rom 6:18 Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness.

SERVANTS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS.

A knowledge of sin is helpful so we can avoid it. So we can choose sinless ways.

Jesus and the Apostles quoted from or alluded to the OT thousands of times in order support what they were saying, so it doesn't work to take the position that we should follow just what they said but not what they considered to be an authoritative source, especially if you agree that the whole Bible is true. Christians perceive that the "authoritative source" of Scripture is God/Christ, who alluded to the OT in order to show how it should be interpreted in light of His new revelation/NT.

The astute note that in Matt. 4:7 Jesus said "It is also written", interpreting what Satan had quoted in light of another passage, which is called harmonizing Scripture and is what you should do instead of being stuck with Satan's view/authority, because you DO have access to the NT.

Some Judaizers want to require circumcision, others want to require Sabbath.

Sorry, I meant t to I cite Psalm 119:160, but the fact that God’s righteousness is eternal means that the way to embody God’s righteousness is also eternal, so there is not a strong need to cite another verse to support that. By being a doer of charity we are embodying something that is eternally true about the nature God and if it were to ever become contrary to God’s righteousness to be a doer of charity, then God’s righteousness would not be eternal, God’s character traits are eternal, so the things that the Mosaic Law teaches us about God’s character traits are therefore also eternal.

The Law of Moses can’t just give us knowledge of how to do unrighteous works without also giving us knowledge of how to do righteous works by contrast. The purpose of doing righteous works was never to be granted righteousness, but rather the purpose of being granted righteousness is to become a doer of righteous works.

Christ spent his ministry teaching his followers how to follow the Law of God by word and by example and Christianity is about following what Christ taught. Being a Christian is not just for Jews but for Gentiles too. It is by the Law of God that we have knowledge of what sin is and the Bible calls for Gentiles to refrain from sin.

while it is good to recognize that the NT authors were commenting about how to correctly interpret the OT, it is also good to recognize that the OT can help us to correctly interpret the NT. If we believe that the whole Bible is true, then we should use one as a check against our interpretation of the other rather that running with whatever the authors of the NT appear to us to be saying as overriding the OT. If we interpret the NT authors as contradicting what they considered to be Scripture and the OT as contradicting the NT, the that should indicate to us that we have misinterpreted something and should lead us to look for a way of interpreting them that is in accordance with each other.

The astute note that in Matt. 4:7 Jesus said "It is also written", interpreting what Satan had quoted in light of another passage, which is called harmonizing Scripture and is what you should do instead of being stuck with Satan's view/authority, because you DO have access to the NT.
Satan misquoted Scripture.

just for the purpose of clarity,

Was Jesus pointing to Jews or Christians in Matthew 7 or is it to ANY and all that Claim Christ is their Lord?

If to all that call upon the Name of Jesus Christ -- then what is iniquity/lawlessness referring too.

What is the iniquity that is being done that would cause Christ to disown them

21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

No it is not. Jesus said "his" commandments. He made several in the New testament. I will say that he did import 9 of the 10 commands, excluding sabbath keeping. But his commandment are the spiritual fulfillment of the old Covenant works into the new covenants spirit. Which was not in the old Covenant of works.

"You have heard it said (old covenant flesh based command)... but I say to you (new covenant spiritual based command)"

The new covenant has its own commands that are more perfect, better than the old covenant. The old covenant was fading becoming obsolete...

You dont commit adultery physically if you don't start the idea in your head/spirit. Jesus advanced this to a spiritual depth to capture your thoughts before they materialize.

The Old Covenant is a physical contract for a physical people with physical laws, physical promises and a physical priesthood

The New is a spiritual contract for a spiritual people with spiritual laws -- but with spiritual promises and a spiritual priesthood.

the old did not offer eternal life or the Holy Spirit, only death for transgressions

the New offers eternal life and the power of the Father's spirit in us to obey both the physical law and same law now raised to the Spirit level.
thus; physical fornication and spiritual (in our minds)
and the shed blood of Christ to cover our sins as we grow into the perfection of Jesus Christ over our life time

the only person that was sinless is Jesus Christ -- at the first resurrection sin then becomes impossible as we will have the divine nature of the Father
