Yes and if one actually has a relationship with the Lord they will submit themselves to the Lord and die to self being led of the Holy Spirit will does not lead anybody to continue in sin.

That's what satan wants everyone to accept that they cannot walk in the Spirit and they are just cursed to always be living after the flesh in sin every day in word and deed.

Nobody sins by accident.

James 4:17
to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

People know when they are doing wrong and they do it anyway - these are those who are playing games with the Lord and are not sincere in their relationship with Him.

Then that wouldn't be any of my business unless you tell me about it and doing so is inviting me to comment about it.

Know, you knew it was wrong... decided to do it anyway and that's willingly doing sin on purpose

James 4:17
to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

James 4:17 applies to this too as you know it's wrong to hurt the dog but choose to do it anyway

What I want is irrelevant concerning people.

God loves them and wants them to get saved and delivered from bondage to sin so out of respect for the Lord I'd want to try and help them if I can.
There are multiple ways to sin. Some of which people are aware of at all times, and other ways that people only become aware of much later. There are sins of commission and sins of omission, or sins because of what we do and sins because of what we do not do. Sins we are aware of and sins we are not aware of. To break a single one of the Ten Commandments is impossible, all are kept at all times, or all are broken at all times.

Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith . Does anyone consider that he is now a priest in the presence of God for us , the Book Hebrews explains his ministry on going in heaven now for us ! Thank God for that . None of his sheep will perish . That’s what Jesus said . End of discussion. Check it out for your selves. God bless as you get set free by the truth .

A must read the book of Hebrews start to finish, reread it and Ask God to help you understand it . It answers a lot of things discussed in this forum, I was just reading it myself and I must say WoW , even after reading it many times before , it’s the living word of God ! Amen .

Can you apostate your faith, the answer is yes. If you were always saved, they will say If you apostate your faith you were never saved to begin with. So it's a circular argument.
Jesus is the author and finisher. I don’t agree with your view . The faith is not our faith , it’s God given . John the Baptist said no man can receive anything except God give it . Faith comes from God . If it comes from us it will not last . It’s not of him that willeth or worketh it says in book of Romans but of God that shows mercy . Seeking Gods mercy humbly is the way to Gods mercy . He resists the proud , he also leads us in repentance, we can’t do that without his help either. God bless !

I can say that if you’ve abandoned the faith, Maybe you weren’t elect, but you thought you were, because if you were, you would have persevered to the end. It’s a circular argument.

Calvin will say you only “appear to belong”

I’m not a Calvinist . Jesus sheep are in his hand and the Fathers . End of discussion! God bless as you seek the truth it will set you free !

The troll is strong with this one.
That troll (who suffers from a severe case of anti-OSAS derangement syndrome) has been banned multiple times already from Christian Chat and continues to come back under a different avatar name AGAINST FORUM RULES. 🚩 Yet he has the audacity to lecture and slander all believers in the OSAS camp.

Salvation isn't about you doing your best to be perfect, but about your relationship with God.
John 17:3 - And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent (which is an intimate, experiential knowledge, found only in a relationship). The term "know" implies intimate, experiential knowledge, through a relationship with Him and not merely theoretical knowledge.
You will stumble, you will sin, you are still a human.
James 3:2 - for we all stumble in many ways. If anyone does not stumble in what he says, he is a mature man who is also able to control his whole body.

None of us are sinless and flawless, 100% of the time. 1 John 1:8 - If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us.

The idea is that grace covers everything, but that doesn't mean it's a license to just do whatever. I've always viewed it as a reason to try harder out of gratitude, not an excuse to slack off.

But can you apostate the faith, every single denomination says yes.
