To you every church is a cult. I just noticed where your profile says you don't go to church at all. No matter what church I go to, you will declare it a cult.

Try asking me if I believe the Nicene Creed.
Ah but you see the way the heretics squirm around the Athanasian Creed's more biblically complete and theologically canonically sound wording of the Trinity doctrine is so perfectly written by the true saints of God that its where your cult specifically disagrees that will reveal their specific heresy. Note no, not every church is a cult, just the ones that deny Christ.

Whosoever will be saved, before all things it is necessary that he hold the catholic faith. Which faith unless every one do keep whole and undefiled, without doubt he shall perish everlastingly. And the catholic faith is this: that we worship one God in Trinity, and Trinity in Unity; neither confounding the Persons, nor dividing the Essence. For there is one Person of the Father; another of the Son; and another of the Holy Ghost. But the Godhead of the Father, of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost, is all one; the Glory equal, the Majesty coeternal. Such as the Father is; such is the Son; and such is the Holy Ghost. The Father uncreated; the Son uncreated; and the Holy Ghost uncreated. The Father infinite; the Son infinite; and the Holy Ghost infinite. The Father eternal; the Son eternal; and the Holy Ghost eternal. And yet they are not three eternals; but one eternal. As also there are not three uncreated; nor three infinites, but one uncreated; and one infinite. So likewise the Father is Almighty; the Son Almighty; and the Holy Ghost Almighty. And yet they are not three Almighties; but one Almighty. So the Father is God; the Son is God; and the Holy Ghost is God. And yet they are not three Gods; but one God. So likewise the Father is Lord; the Son Lord; and the Holy Ghost Lord. And yet not three Lords; but one Lord. For like as we are compelled by the Christian verity; to acknowledge every Person by himself to be God and Lord; So are we forbidden by the catholic religion; to say, There are three Gods, or three Lords. The Father is made of none; neither created, nor begotten. The Son is of the Father alone; not made, nor created; but begotten. The Holy Ghost is of the Father and of the Son; neither made, nor created, nor begotten; but proceeding. So there is one Father, not three Fathers; one Son, not three Sons; one Holy Ghost, not three Holy Ghosts. And in this Trinity none is before, or after another; none is greater, or less than another. But the whole three Persons are coeternal, and coequal. So that in all things, as aforesaid; the Unity in Trinity, and the Trinity in Unity, is to be worshipped. He therefore that will be saved, let him thus think of the Trinity.

Lunch break is over. Back to the salt mines.

Son of judgment, I look forward to catching up on this thread after I get off work.

I mean nobody's ever said I was a Satanist before, simply because I have an S badge on my car!

I didn't put it on there, it came with the car.

Its not the most popular make, that prize goes to the Suzuki Swift.
Maybe cos of all the Taylor Swift fans.

That some peeps think is pure evil.

I've never met Ms Swift in person or been to any of her concerts, but she seems alright to me. She don't have any tattoos, unlike Britney Spears, who famously shaved her hair off herself AND got a tattoo. Several.

And both ladies are or were brought up Christian.

Well I don't actually know if Taylor has any tattoos that we can see anyway. Whatever. I'm not gonna marry Taylor.
That would be weird.

Well something was certainly revealed. This guy is a simple troll.
It was hilarious how easy it was to distract him from tattoos by throwing him a simple doctrinal bone. This proves it wasn't the topic of tattoos that was important to him. He just wanted to find something he could use to get under somebody's skin.
Then when he noticed how much the dating topic irritated seoulsearch, he jumped on that with both feet and rode it for all it was worth. Proving once again that he didn't care what the topic was, only whether he was able to cause trouble with it.
Then y'all had to bring up tattoos again and remind him of it...

I was actually very surprised -- and a little disappointed -- that he seemed to give up right after I mentioned meeting @RodB651 in person, too.

To be honest, I was expecting him to accuse me of "overtly flirting" with every man I cross paths with, followed up by a nice puritanical sermon about how I must be a harlot who needs to change her heathen ways.

He asked if I'd met Lynx's parents -- yes, I've met his mom, his grandparents, and his aunts and uncles, one of which would conveniently refer to me as, "Hey Girl!"

Lol! I'm working on meeting his Dad -- hopefully at the next meetup.

I've also met at least one relative of Rodney's, and pretty much all of Cinder's immediate family. I could name the other CC'ers (and their relatives) I have also met, but they are no longer active on this site.

What intrigues me most about people who want to preach others into the ground -- all day, every day -- is, do they not know or understand how normal human friendships work?

After all, we are told in 1 Corinthians 13:1 that we can have all the spiritual knowledge and giftings in the world, but if we don't show love, we're nothing more than a clanging cymbal.

If we can't love people and demonstrate the Word and teachings of the Lord through our actions and speech, we're not doing them any favors.

And yes, I know, sometimes "tough love" is needed, and some will say they're showing the best love of all -- confronting people about their sins and false doctrines and warning them of hellfire.

But it always makes me wonder what such people are like among their own friends -- if they have any, as a lot of people I talk to about this don't have anyone in their lives.

They will then say, of course, that it's because no one in these wretched times is open to hearing the true Word of the Lord, and tgat they count it all a blessing that God has chosen them to suffer and be persecuted for the sake of the Name.

Let me put it this way you fear I will do you like you do to me, but you already said your church is a cult the minute you said they deny the Athanasian Creed and even try pretty familiar deception tactics about it. Anyways long story short, dude you're already in a cult, how could it get worse? Then again maybe you're antsy because part of you knows maybe they're heretics that have literally nothing to offer you but Hell, and maybe you get a better date with seoulsearch going to her Lutheran church. Curse me today, bless me tomorrow if you actually do it I will praise Jesus.

Also its just SonJudgment, it's an event, not a name. Praise Jesus.

The Athanasian Creed is most thorough, if your cult rejects the Trinity doctrine specifically that portionn of the Athanasian Creed hence the follow-ups; Where do they disagree, where do they agree? This reveal the nature of their heresy. Modalism is my early bet, but you never know once they already are known to reject Christianity, they could be Arianism.
Well I'm sorry to inform you of this, but you were born a few centuries too late to be part of the Inquisition. If you went to church you'd know that most of those people who faithfully go to church and do all kinds of things to serve Jesus and build God's kingdom, wouldn't know what you're talking about. They've never heard of the Athanasian Creed and don't know modalism or arianism. They've probably heard the words trinity and 3 in one and Father, Son, and Holy Spirit and that's going to be the extent of their knowledge on the topic. But if I gave any of those people 5 minutes with both you and Lynx, you wouldn't be the one they'd want in their churches.

Anyway, I am curious about how you'll respond to the point that it's only the churches who use the creeds and broke away from the Roman Catholic church that think the word catholic in the creeds doesn't refer to the Roman Catholic church. Also if it took several hundred years from the time of Christ to hammer out that creed, does that mean that no one who was christian in all those years was really saved? What about that first generation of Christians, who we have recorded in the bible praying that God and refering to his "holy servant" Jesus (acts 4)? Are they not saved because they didn't understand the trinity?

But my prediction is that like all trolls, you'll skip over the questions that are too hard to answer or which clearly undermine your fixation on a creed almost no one has ever heard of.

Yo hold up, he already had you meet the parents?

Your physical body that you cannot separate from your soul and spirit belongs to the Lord it’s called his temple . Only to honour the invisible? Why not all of it . Gods sees all of it he is God . Thanks for your consideration.

Lol who cares what a bunch of heretics that the Christian religion literally certifies are going to Hell thinks? You really want their approval. Ah the parable of the seeds and the ones that fall among the sandy ground and the weeds.

Here we go again.

I wrote what I wrote.

Feel free to re-read as many times as needed, and then some.

You seem to be obsessed with anything having to do with Lynx and are blatantly ignoring my mentions of anyone else.

Selective reading at its finest.

If you have anymore questions about me, ask the people responding to this thread.

I'm pretty sure they're showing the courtesy of reading what I say in my posts, and can answer you, if they have the interest.

I think you're selective reading I'm like 1 man army keeping up with the whole legion on weightier matter and teaching them the true religion, but let me just be brief, like wow he already introduced you to his parents, maybe its not him missing the signs and the hints, maybe it's you.

True but I didn't mean that your point wasn't right , I was saying that their is salvation by grace through faith where God sees an unclean person’s spirit and is not looking at their flesh BUT after God cleans the spirit, then what some call continuous sanctification begins, where by the mercy God has shown to us we present ourselves living sacrifices to God.Renewing our minds to the perfect will of God.

The fact that you see yourself as a 1-man army fighting everyone else off and solely teaching the truth says all anyone needs to know.

I'm not sure why you don't understand that not everyone is looking for a romantic relationship, but that, like everything else you've posted here, is your own belief.

I'm content where God has me in life.

Not having a romantic partner allows me to visit other CC friends, and their families, in new and interesting places, which I will keep doing as long as He allows.

This summer I'm going to try to be of help to a dear friend who's had a very rough time.

As a single, I can budget my own money and time, freeing me up to go wherever needed when God calls me to help someone -- even if it's across the country.

Wait there is some stuff about religion that's acceptable to God and what Christians should teach each other in the Bible:

Religion that is pure and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained from the world. James 1:27

Also:
And don't forget to do good and to share with those in need. These are the sacrifices that please God. - Heb 13:16 NLT

and:

Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near. - Heb 10:24-25 NLT

Hmmm, I don't see anything in there about the true religion being to badger people about a creed they haven't heard about. Or even to make sure that your fellow believers have the right doctrines. And you haven't addressed my points, just basically insulted everyone who goes to church as not believer enough.

As a side note those who are wise know not to listen to self appointed teachers who reject being affiliated with and accountable to the body of Christ. (and some of us (ie me) may need to grow in wisdom and stop arguing with them).

Eyeroll, yea they're going to tell the holy virgin of Revelation 14 about being truly single while going cross country dates and meeting the parents. Why this world so backwards? They refuse to do what God requires so I will do it then. If I have to be the only one that didn't bow to Babylon and that fights for Jesus, then so be it, better to be a friend of God than a friend of the world that can't distinguish their left hand from their right hand, praise Jesus.
