That is where your hermeneutic crashes and burns;
the purpose of GW is to teach sinners the divine Logic of Love.
The fact that I might need to post Scripture to support this understanding
indicates the demonic doctrine, logic and heresy of hate held by tulipists.

Final attempt. You're wrong... again. In the spiritual, His love is only unto His elect as witnessed by the following verses. Read
vs13 closely - before being born God said of them: "Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated".

[Rom 9:11, 13-15 KJV]
11 (For [the children] being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth ...
13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.
14 What shall we say then? [Is there] unrighteousness with God? God forbid.
15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion.

Once again Romans chapter 1 explains that God manifest (makes Himself known) to everyone in various ways and from there it's on us who God made Himself known to to accept God.

Romans chapter 1 explains that everyone has no excuse should they choose to deny God because He made Himself known through creation, through the universe, through humanity, through everything we can see naturally. He made Himself known to others through the Holy Spirit, the Word of God, a multitude of different ways.

We either believe or reject this knowledge and information. This is what we truly will be judged for.

Rom 1:18ff shows mans total depravity, his will is enslaved to sin.

No, you proof text again, which is NOT a gift of the Holy Spirit.

Yeah that's works, A lost dead man cant cooperate with being made alive in salvation, that Glory belongs solely to God
The natural man s opposed to the spiritual things of God and cannot change himself any more
than a leopard can change its spots or an Ethiopian the colour of their skin, but according to free
willers, a bad tree can produce the good fruit of faith even though Jesus said it was impossible.

your misinterpretation of Scripture is duly noted, rogerg.

why did you skip from vs 11 to vs 13 ???

when vs 12 is included, your whole premise is revealed as erroneous.

Romans 9:10-12

10 And not only this; but when Rebecca also had conceived by one, even by our father Isaac;

11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth; )

12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.

and this is exactly what we read in Genesis :

Genesis 25:20-23

20 And Isaac was forty years old when he took Rebekah to wife, the daughter of Bethuel the Syrian of Padanaram, the sister to Laban the Syrian.

21 And Isaac intreated the LORD for his wife, because she was barren: and the LORD was intreated of him, and Rebekah his wife conceived.

22 And the children struggled together within her; and she said, If it be so, why am I thus? And she went to enquire of the LORD.

23 And the LORD said unto her, Two nations are in thy womb, and two manner of people shall be separated from thy bowels; and the one people shall be stronger than the other people;
and the elder shall serve the younger.

Now continue reading vs 13:

Romans 9:13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

do you know where it is written, rogerg? over 1,000 years later, in the very last book of the OT:

Malachi 1:1-3

1 The burden of the word of the LORD to Israel by Malachi.

2 I have loved you, saith the LORD. Yet ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob's brother? saith the LORD: yet I loved Jacob,

3 And I hated Esau, and laid his mountains and his heritage waste for the dragons of the wilderness.

so, it is you who needs to "Read vs 13 closely" before making your erroneous claim concerning what God said about Jacob and Esau before they were born and what was written many generations later ... and possibly DavidLamb, dkontner, and brightfame52 need to "Read vs 13 closely", as all three of them gave you a thumbs up for your erroneous claim.

smh ...

Regeneration preceding faith is not Biblical.

It's merely a post-hoc rationalization stemming from people eisegeting scripture and reading certain presuppositions about man's fallen condition INTO the text.

One of many contradictions.

If you believe you get a new heart in order to come to Jesus then you necessarily believe you don’t need Jesus to repair your heart.

I am not going to get involved with a continuing dialogue with you about this because, as with GWH, your foundational understanding of the gospel's tenets is wrong, so any interpretations and conclusion you draw from Scripture will be wrong too,
and therefore, not worth my time and effort to refute.

First, my "erroneous" post was of verses taken directly from Scripture, so you sound absurd by disputing it, unless, that is, you don't believe or understand Scripture, given as those verses stand on their own.

Second, your post pretty is much gobbledygook but suffice it to say that if your point is that Gen 25:21-23 was added to 1000 years after that event, and added to again after that in Rom 9, well, that is ridiculous because God wrote the Bible as one integrated book yet used progressive revelation which He dispensed over time as His way to illustrate His doctrines - not always everything all at once. Therefore, that God chose to expound further upon it at other times meant nothing, as He did likewise in many other situations. Had you read the verses beyond vs12 and 13, and understood them which is doubtful, you might have realized that they are in perfect harmony with, continuations of, and consistent with, the verses I posted, which are Scripture. The specific point under discussion with GWH was whether in the spiritual sense God loves everyone with the answer clearly being no, He does not, and as is attested to by the verses you, yourself, posted. I didn't include vs12 because it wasn't pertinent to that discussion. That I didn't include it wasn't hidden to anyone given you noticed it.
Scripture it's all one book written by God.

[Rom 9:13-25 KJV]
13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.
14 What shall we say then? [Is there] unrighteousness with God? God forbid.
15 For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. 16 So then [it is] not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy.
17 For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth.
18 Therefore hath he mercy on whom he will [have mercy], and whom he will he hardeneth.
19 Thou wilt say then unto me, Why doth he yet find fault? For who hath resisted his will?
20 Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed [it], Why hast thou made me thus?
21 Hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?
22 [What] if God, willing to shew [his] wrath, and to make his power known, endured with much longsuffering the vessels of wrath fitted to destruction:
23 And that he might make known the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy, which he had afore prepared unto glory,
24 Even us, whom he hath called, not of the Jews only, but also of the Gentiles?
25 As he saith also in Osee, I will call them my people, which were not my people; and her beloved, which was not beloved.

Notice that vs 24 says "not Jews only, but also of the Gentiles", demonstrating those verses were not intended to apply to the physical but to the spiritual.

Therefore, it is you who needs to go back to Romans 9:12 - 25 and read them closely to try to gain understanding in light of the whole Bible.

So, that's all I was able to glean out of your post with the rest of it pretty much gobbledygook. If you intended to convey something besides that, I couldn't find it.

One of many contradictions.

If you believe you get a new heart in order to come to Jesus then you necessarily believe you don’t need Jesus to repair your heart.
As usual you make zero sense.

your claim that it's "not worth [your] time to refute" is belied by the fact that you refute ... par for the course with you rogerg.

First, my "erroneous" post was of verses taken directly from Scripture, so you sound absurd by disputing it, unless, that is, you don't believe or understand Scripture, given as those verses stand on their own.
I do not dispute Scripture ... I dispute your removal of vs 12 from the context in order to prop up your erroneous claim about what God said concerning Jacob and Esau before they were born.

As pointed out in Post 35,832, because you removed vs 12 from the context, your claim that "before being born God said of them: "Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated" is error because God did not say that before they were born.

What God said before they were born was exactly what I showed you (The elder shall serve the younger – Gen 25:23 and quoted in Ro 9:13).

And according to Romans 9:13, what was written ... "Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated" was written in Malachi 1:3, long after Jacob and Esau were dead.

and if you have a problem with that fact, you'll just have to take it up with the Author of Scripture.

Second, your post pretty is much gobbledygook but suffice it to say that if your point is that Gen 25:21-23 was added to 1000 years after that event, and added to again after that in Rom 9, well, that is ridiculous because God wrote the Bible as one integrated book yet used progressive revelation which He dispensed over time as His way to illustrate His doctrines - not always everything all at once. what is "gobbledygook" is your misinterpretation of what God said concerning Jacob and Esau before they were born.

What God said before they were born was "the elder shall serve the younger" just as is written in Genesis 25:23 ... and affirmed by Paul in Romans 9:12 (the verse you conveniently leave out in your effort to reinterpret Scripture).

So, again, your claim that "before being born God said of them: "Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated" is error because God did not say that before they were born.

Paul reaffirmed what God said before they were born in Romans 9:12 and Paul distinguished what God said before they were born from what God wrote more than 1,000 years later ... long after both Jacob and Esau were dead.

Had you read the verses beyond vs12 and 13, and understood them which is doubtful, you might have realized that they are in perfect harmony with, continuations of, and consistent with, the verses I posted, which are Scripture.

What is clear is that you believe God hates people before they are born and you misquote Scripture in order to prop up your erroneous claim that "before being born God said of them: "Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated".

poor workmanship on your part, rogerg, and the rest of your post is more gobbledegook in your effort to rationalize your error.

He does Rom 9:11-14

11 (For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)

12 It was said unto her, The elder shall serve the younger.

13 As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.

14 What shall we say then? Is there unrighteousness with God? God forbid.

Thats why Paul anticipates the carnal heart of man would say thats unjust for God to do !

I am replying to you not because I feel the need to but because I think it would be good for those who might read this and might believe you to make visible to them your lack of knowledge of the Bible, given that you've made obvious don't have much of it, which is why you get so much of it so wrong so often.
(By the way, I am very familiar with the argument you've made and have heard it many times before - so you're not telling me anything new).
The "when" of God choosing to have written that He loved Jacob and hated Esau is irrelevant to whether He actually loved Jacob and hated Esau: He said it, and He meant it. Had He meant something different, He would have stated it differently (Paul was moved by the Holy Spirit in his writings just as writers of Genesis and Malachi were moved by Him) it's as simple as that - not really hard to understand, is it? God hated Esau for the same reason He hates all of the non-elect: because they will never be covered by the righteousness of Christ as their Savior, and therefore, in God's eyes, their sins remain. God loved Jacob, as He loves all of the elect, because their sins will be/are covered by Christ as their Savior, and His righteousness, with their sins forgiven them, and so God loved Jacob who represented biblically- as spiritual progenitor and model - of all of the elect, as the other verses in Rom 9 so state (if you actually take the time to read them you just might be able to comprehend that in them). God obviously knew that Jacob was of His elect because it was God who had made him so from before the foundation of the world. God also knew Esau was not, and would never be, because He did not make him so.
Apparently, you've discarded the concept of the progressive revelation of God's doctrines within Scripture (no surprise there), which also means therefore, that you'll have to discard all of the New Testament too, because it is the completion of the doctrines begun in the Old Testament and completed there, just as Rom 9 fills in the doctrine begun in the Old Testament.
So, having made that clear, you're now back on ignore.
