What is the substance of the covenant and who are the participants?
Presumably the jews or the people that believe in the many covenants God made with them and through them (Abrham, Moses, David, Jesus) if you are meaning the participants of the holy covenant, you know basic Bible believing Christians presumably. If you mean the participants with the Man of Sin and actual abomination of desolation (and keeping in mind Rev13 reveals Satan is literally physically down there openly with them) then presumably everyone that worships them..

I appreciate the discussion. This wasn't the direction I was reading originally, but it has piqued my curiosity about a couple of things.

This is where the cover-to-cover Bible reading is much beneficial and then doing it a lot too. Not as like a test of faith, but simply even like any other big book, you do it once you get a fuller understanding even if you don't catch it all, you do it again, it gets firmer in your mind, not just as empty memory and chanting it back, but like being able to see the broader picture if you will, remember the characters, events, connections between chapters, etc. Its not a requirement for salvation of course like it itself says lol, but it will make you stronger like it also says, praise Jesus.

It's actually not that difficult once one understands its subject and imagery.
The reason it is so difficult is because there are more references on a verse by verse basis to other parts of the Bible than any other book in the Bible. For example, it is pretty easy to see Ephesians 1 as a reference to Genesis, Ephesians 2 to Exodus, Ephesians 3 to Leviticus, Ephesians 4 to Numbers, Ephesians 5 to Deuteronomy and Ephesians 6 to Joshua. But to give all the references in Revelation to the other parts of the Bible, that is extremely difficult.

You and the left are out of your minds.

We have seen this stuff before. And we all made it through it.......And this is garbage info on top of it all.

Now, If we start seeing things as in the days of Noah......Look out.( and we are, but it isn't "preppers" and save your money stuff.)

It's "seed" stuff......Blow your mind stuff.

Oh I just could not resist.
The replacement theology crew just doesn't know what they are missing out on by rejecting the OT.

Psa 148:4
Praise him, ye heavens of heavens, and ye waters that be above the heavens.

Gen 1:6
And God said, Let there be a firmament in the midst of the waters, and let it divide the waters from the waters.

Gen 1:7
And God made the firmament, and divided the waters which were under the firmament from the waters which were above the firmament: and it was so.

Gen 7:11
In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.
For the coming of the Son of Man will be just like the days of Noah. Matt 24:37

Seems even the doomsdayers Don't understand whats really coming.

They can beat the drums of financial ruin, starvation, energy/electric ruin, social ruin, depravity, DEATH......You name it.

But if one really knows and understands what it was like in the days of Noah......They got another thing coming.

While I agree this is true, I think people are taught that somehow the book of Revelation is confusing and too difficult, and only scholars can figure it out. This simply isn't true. It's a biblical text. And like all biblical texts, it is deliberately written and ordered. The text can be broken into its component parts and understood. It may require more study, but once one gets a basic understanding of its purpose and how this is set forth in the book, it's really quite simple. This isn't to say one won't continue to be blessed by further revelation; only that it doesn't require being a scholar to comprehend.

Now back to the present where we smasheth Satan's principalities to the ground and reorder the world to subjugate them all under the hand of the saints of the Most High God and reign as the hidden emperors on the Earth, praise Jesus.

That is the correct typological application to make no doubt about it.

Furthermore, Goliath (Gol of Gath) is one of the most prescient types of the "anti-christ", the satan-man (as opposed to the God-man Jesus Christ) in all of Scripture.

Goliath was a nephilim, a literal demon-man hybrid, a powerful "unkillable" warlord who blasphemed the God of Israel in direct brazen challenge.

You make the connection.

If you know your Bible, the identity and attributes of the man of sin, the son of perdition, are not at all obscure, inscrutable or nondescript
This is the stuff we need to prepare for.

It is so outlandish and unbelievable in todays world( Not to mention bible doctrine is barely taught anymore)..........That the deceiver will deceive the majority.

It is NOT about, financial ruin, preparing for hard times, living without electricity, eating mud.......It is about the seed and great deception.

And 99% of believers scoff and will blow it off to mythology and imagination.

There was a literal burning bush. There was a literal flood. There was a literal promised land. There was a literal crucifixion. There were literally Angel-man hybrids.......Buckle up believers you ain't seen nothing yet.

Conclusion of what? History? The old covenant? Revelation?
Literally all of them, and even the entire creation, the whole universe itself, a finality so complete to usher in the invincible destiny of the eternity of the Kingdom of God where God reigns forever and ever when the Father's face is Revealed, praise Jesus.

Well if you understand the Bible is a love story in which God the father loves man who was corrupted by Satan, and God the Son loves man as His bride, and God the Spirit loves man as a close friend, then it is the conclusion of that love story.

Angels cannot/do not procreate >>> conspiracy theory.

Goliath probably wasn't even a giant either, by our standards. The LXX and Dead Sea Scrolls say he was about 6' 6". This makes believers in human/angel hybrids very angry.

Think of the Bible as a war between God and Satan for the soul of man and the book of Revelation is the conclusion, the final battle for man's soul.

No 6 1/2 foot man can wield a spear with a head of 17 lbs. He would be a sitting duck and be killed immediately.
Same goes for the enormous armor weight and everything else.
If anything, some fool showing up geared up like this would be mocked on the battlefield, not feared.

Coat of scale armor:
5,000 shekels = 50–62.5 kg = 110–138 lb. Some older estimates go as high as about 125–156 lb depending on the shekel used.

Spear head alone:
600 shekels = 6–7.5 kg = 13–17 lb.

Add helmet, greaves, javelin/target, shield-bearer support, and a large spear shaft: Goliath’s total carried battle load may plausibly be 150–200+ lb, though not all of it was necessarily held in his hands at once.

My estimate: a man able to fight effectively with this would likely need to be at least 7½–9+ feet tall, perhaps 350–600+ lb, with extraordinary strength. A normal 6-foot strong man could maybe lift pieces of it, but not move and fight comfortably under it.

So the text is portraying not merely a “big warrior,” but a giant-class champion, massively larger and stronger than ordinary soldiers.

**********************************

Deu 3:11
For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of giants; behold, his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbath of the children of Ammon? nine cubits was the length thereof, and four cubits the breadth of it, after the cubit of a man.

If it was an actual bed intended proportionally for his body, then Og himself may plausibly have been:

  • roughly 9–11 feet tall,
  • perhaps larger if heavily built.
That aligns remarkably well with the Masoretic height of Goliath (~9½ ft).

The broader biblical context also matters:
Og is specifically said to be:

  • “of the remnant of the Rephaim” (giants),
  • and Bashan/Rephaim traditions consistently describe unusually gigantic warriors.
************************************

Giant clans before and after Israel entered Canaan

The Nephilim

Genesis introduces the mysterious Nephilim:

“The Nephilim were in the earth in those days…”
— Book of Genesis 6:4

The spies later claim:

“We saw the Nephilim… and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers.”
— Book of Numbers 13:33

That verse is debated because frightened spies may be exaggerating, but the text clearly intends exceptional stature.

Anakim — the famous giant race

The Anakim are repeatedly described as terrifyingly large.

Deuteronomy 1:28

“The people is greater and taller than we…”

Deuteronomy 2:10–11

The Emim:

“a people great, and many, and tall, as the Anakim;
these also are accounted Rephaim…”

Deuteronomy 2:20–21

The Zamzummim:

“a people great, and many, and tall…”

Joshua 11:21–22

Joshua destroys most of the Anakim, but remnants remain specifically in Philistine territory:

“only in Gaza, in Gath, and in Ashdod, there remained.”

That is important because Goliath later comes from Gath.

Og king of Bashan

As discussed:

“Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of the Rephaim…”
— Book of Deuteronomy 3:11

His enormous iron bedstead is cited as surviving evidence.

Goliath and the giants of Gath

Goliath

“his height was six cubits and a span”
— First Book of Samuel 17:4

His armor and spear are described in extraordinary terms.

The six-fingered giant

This is the explicit polydactyly passage:

2 Samuel 21:20

“there was yet a battle in Gath, where was a man of great stature, that had on every hand six fingers, and on every foot six toes, four and twenty in number; and he also was born to the giant.”

Parallel account:

1 Chronicles 20:6

This is not symbolic language. It plainly describes:

  • 24 digits total,
  • linked to the giant lineage from Gath.

Polydactyly is a real genetic condition today, though usually not associated with gigantism. In the biblical narrative, however, it serves as another marker of abnormality among these giant clans.

Additional giant warriors from Gath

2 Samuel 21:15–22

Lists multiple giant descendants killed by David’s warriors.

One has:

“a spear weighing three hundred shekels”

Again connecting giant stature with massive weaponry.

The chapter concludes:

“These four were born to the giant in Gath…”

So the biblical writers present Gath as a surviving center of giant lineages.

Summary of the biblical picture

The Old Testament consistently portrays:

  • unusually tall peoples,
  • linked family/clan lineages,
  • extraordinary strength,
  • oversized weapons,
  • and even unusual physical traits like six fingers/toes.
the Bible unquestionably intends these figures to be understood as far beyond ordinary human size and power.

Angels cannot/do not procreate >>> conspiracy theory.
Gen 6:1
And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,

Gen 6:2
That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.

Gen 6:3
And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.

Gen 6:4
There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

***************************************************

It is perfectly clear that the "bene elohim" took a "downgrade" and became flesh.

Jde 1:6
And the angels which kept not their first estate, but left their own habitation (G3613), he hath reserved in everlasting chains under darkness unto the judgment of the great day.

Whereas we who ARE flesh get an "upgrade" to immortal spiritual bodies.

2Co 5:2
For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house (G3613) which is from heaven:

The KJV translates Strong's G3613 in the following manner: house (1x), habitation (1x).
Outline of Biblical Usage
  1. a dwelling place, habitation
    1. of the body as a dwelling place for the spirit

***************************************************

And that would be game, set match, and yet another defeat for the Biblically illiterate replacement theology crew.

Conclusion of what? History? The old covenant? Revelation?
Conclusion of this AGE. The Church age. Which concludes at the rapture.
Also this present age of deception, as Satan is bound.

However the New Covenant remains in force at the 70th week of Daniel tribulation, and is in fact the means by which
the Nation Israel is redeemed when they cry out for salvation in their great duress at the time of Jacobs trouble.
And the New Covenant remains in force all the way through the span of the millennial reign.

So ridiculous.
Oh that NT always causing you troubles.

Matt. 22:30
” For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.”, he is telling us that the angels were created by God without gender. They were created by God without the ability to propagate. Even those that fell from heaven in rebellion with Satan could not become physically other than they were created by God. They would not magically obtain the ability to conceive and bear children.

The implication of marriage is the only approved and sanctioned method for sexual relations.
The fact that Christ said the angels in heaven are not given in marriage means that they cannot procreate.
They cannot procreate whether they are in heaven, or on earth.
That particular belief of fallen angels mating with earthly women is a travesty of human misunderstanding of the word of God, and is fantasy.

The Western mindset does not allow for the poetical and metaphorical Eastern mindset.

This leads to sci-fi fiction hollywood scenarios and very wrong eschatology that is outside of God’s word.

God is very logical.
