Yes sir and unbelief. Unbelief is removed because the penalty of sin which caused unbelief is removed. Rom 11:26
And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion
the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
:Turn away here is the greek apostrephō :
to turn away
- to remove anything from anyone
- to turn him away from allegiance to any one
The deliverer is non other than Jesus Christ, and He shall remove or take away ungodliness, which for the most part is unbelief, disobedience. How shall the deliverer do this ? By His redeeming death Heb 9:12
12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves,
but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
The word redemption here is the word lytrōsis:
- a ransoming, redemption
- deliverance, esp. from the penalty of sin
The penalty of sin and unbelief has been removed, taken away from the elect He died for, thats why they will be called and believe !
