Weighed myself upon waking up with my amazing smart scale.
My cardiologist told me that pretty much, I’m in great health but that if I just lost more weight I’d be way more healthierI need to get back at it!!!
Starting to eat and drink more protein. Apparently, I am low.
As people who are always on the internet, most of us are probably overweight.
My doctor today recommended I get on a restrictive calorie diet. I have tried downloading a few hopefully free apps that would help me jot down my progress, which would motivate me to lose more weight. So far, all of the apps want to charge an arm and a leg to pay for their services. Does anyone know of any free weight loss services, apps, or websites that focus on calorie counting?
I also plan on doing intermittent fasting, where I fast for 14 hours, from 4:30pm to 6:30am, and make sure I'm eating only 2356 calories a day.
I am currently 5'10" and weigh 283lbs, which is very obese according to the BMI scale. My goal weight is 174lbs, which is the highest BMI number for a normal BMI for my size and age.
This thread is for anyone who wants to write about their weight loss past or present journeys, weight loss goals, talk about weight loss, what diets the Bible talks about, and what God says about our bodies.

you are so lucky! i wish i could weigh 180I started my weight loss journey 1 !/2 years ago when i got high blod pressure. I was at 240 then. I did fasting for 16 hours a day and lost 20 lbs. Then i could not seem to lose much more.
3 1/2 months ago i found out i was borderline diabetic. That is when i started my keto diet of reducing carbs to 20 or less a day. I now weigh 180 and my goal is 165 someday. I am also around 5 10 and 67 years old.
Over eating sugar is what makes us fat. As long as the carbs are high in your blood stream fat loss is real hard. You have to cut your carb intake way down and try to reduce the calories by 500 everyday. Me i eat around 1500 to 2000 calories a day with very low carb intake.
Also you need to start walking a nice easy walk when you can. Start slow and walk half a mile a day then a little the next day till you can walk at least a mile without having a heart attack. I have been walking at least 1 mile after every meal and 3 miles inbetween, a total of 6 to 7 miles everday.
When you start keto and start looking at how many carbs are in most foods you will see just how much sugar we over eat and how some foods i had to give up at least untill i reach my weight goal, then i will be able to eat some of it again in moderation maybe depend on how my blood sugar diabetic thing has paned out.
Cuting carbs and walking has took my blood pressure way down to where im only take half a pill now and is getting low enough i my stop the meds soon. im runing 110/67 around there.
I used to have acid reflux and took tums everyday, After cutting carbs i have no reflux and dont take any tums anymore. If you do decide to do keto it will be tough at first but if you think of sugar as poison to your body it becomes easier.
Good luck on what ever you decide.
You do care.the worst part is i dont care!
You will be in my prayers.i need prayers so i can stick to my diet. please!
Congratulations i wish you only the best. Im down to 168 pounds now, a few more to go, then the real challenge will be trying to stay at `165 the rest of my days.
