The law of gravity is inescapable. What goes up, must come down. Even satellites orbiting far above the earth eventually fail and crash back to earth. However, we see birds flying as if there was no gravity. The ingenuity of mankind has created remarkable aircraft that can fly hundreds of people thousands of kilometers. How can this be?

God created another law, the law of aerodynamics. Mankind harnessed the power of this law in order to fly with the birds. There is a catch. If a bird dies, the law of gravity takes over.

The law of sin and death is seemingly inescapable. Mankind has tried all kinds of methods to overcome. Self improvement programs, meditation, positive thinking, new year resolutions, anger management, the occult and a smorgasbord of different religions. Religion includes the self effort of Christians who try to fully obey God's commandments. Nothing works. Even the most noble and dedicated efforts will fail. Sin and death is a law and as binding as the law of gravity in the physical realm.

As aerodynamics overcomes gravity, so the Law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus overcomes the the law of sin and death. Trying to obey God's commandments is like flapping your arms in order to fly. You will crash and burn. However, the Law of the Spirit of life overcomes the law of sin and death. God tells us to quit trying to be a good Christian. He has given us a new nature which operates on Life, not law.

You cannot see yourself. You need a mirror. We are all that God has made us to be, if indeed we are born again. But we do not see ourselves as God sees us. If you want to live in victory, you must see that you are nothing outside of Christ, but that you have all that you need spiritually in Him already. The Christian life is like a wonderland of discovery, if we will be diligent and seek the Lord.

We are blessed with every spiritual blessing in Christ. If we are seeking apart from Christ, we will get nowhere. The law of the Spirit of Life is in Christ Jesus.

Rev 3:15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.
Rev 3:16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.
Rev 3:17 Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing.

The last Church age in popular influence.

Heb 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,
Heb 10:27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

Many people believe they cannot abstain from sin so they are sinning which means they are workers of iniquity not being led of the Spirit.

Also the blood of Christ cannot wash away their sins.

They say believe on Jesus and you are saved and then neglect what that means.

Wouldn't it be nice if people focused on the wonderful salvation that Lord Jesus bought for us with His precious blood.

"Remaineth noeth moreth sacrificeth for sinseth" meant that Jewish Christians could not revert to the OT sacrifices in order to receive forgiveness.

If someone is born again, they are already in heaven and already have eternal life. The question is then, "What do you do in the light of that great truth?" Much of the trouble with modern Christianity is the lack of foundational teaching. Vast numbers of supposed believers are "cultural Christian". They agree with Christian ethics and morals but they are not born again.

A good part of that is that too many preachers don't preach the true gospel. It's easy believism and avoids offence. So you have those who have the form of godliness but who deny the power of the gospel.

Pail wrote to the church at Corinth. It was a mess. But he wrote to them as believers who needed correction, not as sinners who were going to hell because they did not dot every doctrinal "i" and cross every doctrinal "t". And that is how to treat the true church.

Either you are born again or you are not. Either you have eternal life or you are dead in trespass and sin. There is no in between stage. There is an outworking of God's salvation that should take place. There is still no condemnation for those in Christ Jesus.

We can not do anything without Christ.

Joh 15:5 ..... for without me ye can do nothing.

No law keeping or obeying the commandments is possible by our selves.

We are lost and helpless UNLESS WE ARE attached to the vine.

The good fruit is a result of being connected to Christ. Abiding in Him.

I notice you said "nothing works". But then you say Jesus is the solution.
There is a solution. And it does work.
The solution is Jesus. He walked on water and flying was not a problem for Him. Does Jesus solve our problem or Not solve our problem?. (sin and death)

If not then we are stuck in a sinful sad state.

This is dangerous theology.

God wants us to grow and wants us to produce good fruit. God wants us to obey His laws and keep His commandments.

Mat 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Jesus said to seek righteousness...

Rom 8:4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.

Mat 7:24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

Mat 5:6 Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Mat 5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

By faith Peter overcome the law of gravity and walked on water. By faith we too can obey the laws and be free from sin. But only by keeping our eyes on the solution. JESUS IS THE ONLY WAY. The law of sin and death is overcome by faith in Jesus. And we don't quit trying we keep trusting in Jesus and getting stronger in faith.

Faith is something we need to grow or exercise.

Phi 4:13 I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

God's character traits are eternal, so everything that God's covenants teach us about how to know God through embodying His character traits is eternally and cumulatively valid regardless of which covenant someone is under, if any. For example, God's righteousness is eternal (Psalm 119:142), therefore all of God's righteous laws are also eternal (Psalm 119:160), so anyone who has the goal of knowing God through embodying His righteousness will consider any instructions that God has given for how to do that to be cumulatively valid regardless of whether or not they are Jewish. For instance, being a doer of charity was a way embody God's righteousness before God made any covenants with man, so that is an eternally valid way to know God. Jews were chosen to propagate the knowledge of God to all nations, so having knowledge of God is not just for Jews. If you believe in the existence of the God who has the character traits that the Law of Moses was given in order to teach us how to embody and your goal is to know Him through embodying His character traits, then you will follow Christ's example of obedience to the Law of Moses.

Lord Jesus was circumcised. You obey the Torah? So you must be circumcised too. Paul says that getting circumcised is not necessary for salvation. So which is it?

Paul can speak against being required to do something for an incorrect reason without speaking against being required to do it. If Paul had been speaking against circumcision for any reason and not just against incorrect reasons, then Galatians 5:2 would mean that he caused Christ to be of no value to Timothy when he had him circumcised and Christ is of no value to roughly 70% of the men in the US. In Acts 15:1, men from Judea were wanting to require Gentiles to become circumcised in order to become saved, however, that was never the reason for why God commanded circumcision, so the Jerusalem Council upheld the Law f Moses by correctly ruling against requiring circumcision for an incorrect reason. In Exodus 12:48, Gentiles who want to eat of the Passover lamb are required to become circumcised, so the Jerusalem Council should not be interpreted as ruling against Gentiles correctly obeying what God has commanded as if they had the authority to countermand God.

Galatians 5:23
Again I testify to every man who gets himself circumcised that he is obligated to obey the whole law.

Galatians 6:15
For neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything. What counts is a new creation.

And that is exactly where you lose it. Your whole theology revolves around precepts that apply to the old creation.

There is the new creation, with a new covenant, giving believers new life and new law. You are under the judgement of the law because that's how you choose to live.

Paul said that circumcision has no value and that what matters is obeying the commandments of God (1 Corinthians 7:19), that circumcision has no value and that what matters if faith working through love (Galatians 5:6), and we are new creations in Chris to do good works (Ephesians 2:10), so saying what matters is the new creation is all different ways of saying the same thing. Obedience to the commandments of God is the way to have faith working through love and the way to live as a new creation. The Law of Moses is His instructions for equipping us to do every good work (2 Timothy 3:15-17). The old man is the one who live in sin in disobedience to the Law of Moses.

The covenant at Sinai was.


The people were asked to obey the laws.

And if they did God would protect them.

then Blood to seal it.

Just because it was made with the nation of Israel does that make the components void.
Does that mean that God's protection is only for Isreal.
Does that mean obedience is only for Israel.
Does that mean GODS LAWS are only for Isreal.

That covenant was for Israel. And the covenant was made new. A new one is set up today.

But that does not mean all the details in the covenant are void. The covenant with Israel is new in Christ but God's protection, God's law and obedience are not void.
