Did you ever hear the saying "no publicity is bad publicity"? There are those who don't care if you love them or hate them, as long as you are talking about them.
Now if you have something of value to bring to the table concerning the war or concerning the economy, that would be great. It makes perfect sense that many people do not like the direction we are currently headed. But simply ragging for the sake of ragging destroys your credibility.
I have shares in an Australia company that has built a facility near Houston Texas. It is to recycle precious and rare metals from e-waste and scrap. Most of that material was sent offshore to process. "Flash Metals USA" uses a process invented by Professor James Tour's team at Rice University. Professor Tour is born again and one of the world's foremost synthetic chemists.
Why am I saying this? The world is being held to ransom by China. For a time, F35 produduction was stopped because China refused to supply a key material. One of the reasons Flash Metals has set up shop in America first is that tariffs and other incentives have made the process competitive in America. It also greatly reduces the waste problem.
A number of industries have pulled out of China and set up in America. Some overseas companies have built factories in the US to overcome tariffs.
Some tariff policies have backfired, sure. But its not all doom and gloom. The age of globalisation proved how vulnerable the world became when some countries became virtually sole suppliers. Getting industry back to your own country is not such a bad idea.
Overall the tariff policies have caused the US the economy to diminish and relations with other countries, especially allies have been damaged.
Until the US gets a proper leader and admin, tourism isn't going to bounce back any time soon.

Donald's administration is appealing the ruling to return the $166 billion US businesses paid in tariffs. Wait, what? You mean US businesses paid the tariffs, not other countries? I'm just thankful that I'm not entering the workforce now. I'd advise anyone to get into a trade. It will be a long time before a robot can replace a plumber or electrician.
The whole economic system is in danger of collapse. If the vast majority of people are unemployed, where do they get the money to buy the products that are being produced? How do businesses make a profit? Governments are working on these issues as they can see their tax base collapsing. Trust a government to come up with a fair, equitable and practical solution? I suppose there is a first time for everything.
