No, that's your straw man mischaracterization. You simply can't conceive of being able to obey God apart from following a written list of rules.

This is what the Many can not understand --- the Law shows us, is the guide to living righteously, orderly, God's ONE narrow WAY
Transgressions bring death - the law NEVER promised LIFE for obeying,, only physical blessings for obedience
Christ paid our penalty of death
and gave us the ONE Holy Spirit which puts in us the willingness to obey
But if you refuse to even attempt to obey -- and Sin!!
then you are put back under penalty of death and the Sacrifice Christ made for you can not be made again. He will not die again.

Do the Saints of God sin today -- yes! but if they repent and cry out to the Father for help, for the power to obey, they are cover by the sacrifice of Christ.

repentance is necessary until the first Resurrection, after that it is impossible to sin.

Satan has been released to deceive the whole world, The MANY!
it is only the MANY that refuse to obey, not the few!

I hate to say this but , I believe that there r exceptions to the rules of love and , they r gender based .
For quite a few years I was single and celibate and was happy to b so , loving on my own .
Women do not have to b gorgeous supermodels to attract the attention of men . In the block of flats where I live there were and still r many single men of all ages . They did in the past try to talk to me about all kinds of things and I was always polite and friendly but tried not to encourage them to think I was interested in them romantically . This didn't always work , depending on how lonely the men were , how determined they were to get my attention and how bad they were at picking up my hints . This is not my fault . Some people might find this kind of situation amusing but many women don't , they find it very unsettling especially if the man knows where we live .
We women can find it very difficult , especially if we r single and not interested in romantic relationships , to get the balance right , of being a good Christian but not encouraging men . Many men don't seem to b very good at picking up the hints that women try to put out there , that they r not interested in men and just want to not b pestered by them .
I am very happily married now but , my husband is agoraphobic so , he rarely leaves the house . Therefore I am often out and about without him which may give men the impression that I'm single .
Please men , if u talk to a woman and she doesn't smile at u , doesn't make eye contact and tries to get away from u as quickly as possible , take the hint .

Living on my own 🙄 not loving on my own 😬 .

The law is a very rudimentary guide to living righteously compared to the living Christ within those who believe, which is the more excellent way.

I can not believe you would say such a thing?

Jesus Christ only lived a 'very' "rudimentary life" to become our Passover??

and you expect me to believe you??

I am wasting my time -- just to prove to myself -- only the Father opens minds to the truth.

logic and the clear words of Jesus Christ will never open minds.

No, the standard for sin changed. It got much worse for those who think they can follow a written set of rules and be okay with God.

The standard for man's character is now God's character. Shadows of this were seen all throughout the Torah and carried into the New testament.

At Jesus's first recorded miracle, Mary says this to the servants at the wedding feast:

"His mother said to the servants, “Whatever He says to you, do it.(I wrote more about this a while ago here: LINK )

Let me pause here with a question: is Jesus about to issue a commandment? Yes, of course. The Lord of Lords, the Creator of all things, is about to give instruction to the servants. How well would it have gone for the servants if they just ignored the Lord? That's rhetorical because we just don't know. What we DO know if that from their obedience to His commandments a miracle occurred - the economy of heaven came into the earth.

Here were His commandments to the servants:

Now there were set there six waterpots of stone, according to the manner of purification of the Jews, containing twenty or thirty gallons apiece. Jesus said to them, “Fill the waterpots with water.” And they filled them up to the brim. And He said to them, “Draw some out now, and take it to the master of the feast.” And they took it.

1. "Fill the waterpots with water."
2. "Draw some out."
3. "Take what is drawn to the master of the feast."

None of these are found in the Torah. Mary actually pinpoints the change of standard from following the law at Sinai to the new standard "Do what the Lord tells you to do."

Jesus emphasizes this new standard during His altercation with the Enemy: "But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’

The phrase "proceeds from the mouth of God" is present tense, it means that God's words are still proceeding from His mouth. Like here when He gives a commandment to Saul/Paul:

After the Lord arrests Saul and gets his attention, the Lord gives Saul these commandments: "Then the Lord said to him, “Arise and go into the city, and you will be told what you must do.”

Again, not in the Torah but they are commandments none the less.

I agree, the standards, the definition of sin has changed, it was physical, physical adultery was raised to adultery only in ones mind.
Christ made it a sin just to think about having sex with a women. which means 100% of men have committed adultery.
girly men are another story.

Which made all 10 of the Commandments even more impossible to obey

The law is a very rudimentary guide to living righteously compared to the living Christ within those who believe, which is the more excellent way.
If someone is offended by this statement then they likely worship the Sinai law.

Oh no! 🥺

Oh no! 🥺
I wonder if Christ knew He was only doing rudimentary things?

relating to an immature, undeveloped, or basic form.

My calling is to follow Christ, Follow His way of life, His rules. He called me to repent from all my sins and to live His WAY of righteousness, the exact way HE lived -- without sin.
Sin is the transgression of THE LAW.. HIS LAW

which I am sure many on this site can, actually have, wiggled the Law in to a curse and actually sin, if you obey it.

Christ wrote the 10 on the two tables with His finger --- what He did at His first coming --- He expanded the Physical Commandments, they are now physical and spiritual --- remember adultery only in the mind is now SIN!

the only thing new is the Spiritual
Not in the first covenant that the Lord invoked with Israel.

The Lord spoke the law at Mt Sinai and Moses wrote it down (version 1, Exodus 24).

The stone tablets were a later inclusion (version 2) of the law (Exodus 31).

Jesus came to fulfill the law and the prophets not just the ten commandments.

Israel was under the entire law and the prophets in a binding covenant to obey.

If someone is offended by this statement then they likely worship the Sinai law.

This kid gives me the impression that God went to sleep and left the Law to babysit, and he fell in love with it.

When you're in love, nobody else matters. Everyone else' voice is "blah blah blah.."

My calling is to follow Christ, Follow His way of life, His rules.

But you don't follow Christ. You pretend to follow the law. Christ is greater than the law and he says "Obey my voice".

btw I noticed that you never acknowledged my pointing out that according to your belief David committed sin by not doing what the torah says to do, which was to place the ark of the covenant in the holy of holies within the tabernacle. Instead of taking it to Gibeon where the tabernacle was, he took it to Jerusalem and made his own tabernacle for it (the tabernacle of David), something he was not authorized by law to do. Yet he did it, and God blessed him. So obviously God told him to do something that is not in the torah

"Obey my Voice"

""if you love me keep my commandments""

""if you love me keep my commandments""

God's will is that we abide in him, not follow letters of written law

And this is his commandment -- that we should believe the name of his son Jesus Christ, and we should love one another, as he gave commandment. And the one keeping his commandments abides in him, and he in him. And by this we know that he abides in us, by the spirit which he gives to us. 1 John 3:23-24

you are correct, Christ came do all things required of Him in the Law.

HE willingly became our Passover at our 3 PM on the 14th day of God's first month
the afternoon Daily Sacrifice is offered at 3 PM every day -- Christ fulfilled that Sacrifice as well.
on the morning of the first day of the week, after He was resurrected from death on the Sabbath, He rose to be accepted by the Father at 9 AM which is the time for the morning Daily Sacrifice.
Christ fulfilled all three, plus many others written by God's prophets.

I do not under stand fulfilled the Law?
Do you mean,, if I drive at the speed limit, I have fulfilled the purpose of the law?
So since Christ never lied, He fulfilled the purpose of the law.
Christ obeyed the Law perfectly.
It could be said Christ, fulfilled all the requirements, all the duties of the law to perfection.

Trying to not obey, sure gets confusing.. lots of twisting of words

Jesus is easy to understand, I will follow Him.

What part of the law required that Christ take upon Himself the sins of the world?
7And if ye will not for all this hearken unto me, but walk contrary unto me; 28Then I will walk contrary unto you also in fury; and I, even I, will chastise you seven times for your sins. 29And ye shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall ye eat. 30And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your images, and cast your carcases upon the carcases of your idols, and my soul shall abhor you. 31And I will make your cities waste, and bring your sanctuaries unto desolation, and I will not smell the savour of your sweet odours. 32And I will bring the land into desolation: and your enemies which dwell therein shall be astonished at it. 33And I will scatter you among the heathen, and will draw out a sword after you: and your land shall be desolate, and your cities waste.

this is the Old Covenant in Lev 26; 7 -33

Walking contrary to Christ, not obeying Him, brings death.
"the soul that sins shall die" not a quote
therefore; since every person ever born has sinned including Moses, all are under the penalty of death.
the Passover reveals to us that our Maker, our God is willing to come to earth and pay our penalty of death for us.
God, Our maker's life is worth far more then all humanity, thus His death can fulfill the penalty of death for every man ever born.

I will make this statement: there is not one person out of 8 billion that understand the full sacrifice Christ made for us!
no one understands what Christ gave up to be our Passover -- no one, not one.
I have been thinking on this for a while and I know I see, maybe, one half of one percent.
