The KJV uses the imagery of wine to show that the world is spiritually drunk. When a person is intoxicated, their judgment is impaired, they cannot walk straight, and they lose awareness of danger. The bottom line for me is what Peter said "Judgment must begin from the house of God". The only nation on earth called a "Christian nation" is the US. Judgment must begin with the US. No one should get jealous, everyone will get their turn at being judged. The record concerning the book of Revelation is very clear, all nations get judged. But, I believe that seven year period begins with the Great Babylon being judged in one hour like a great millstone being tossed into the sea.
