Beware of Dogs!

I was listening to a testimony of an Egyptian Muslim who decided to trust Jesus to save Him. His Christian friend led him to Christ. After he wrote a book about it, he was imprisoned and tortured. At the 17:00 mark he described his anticipation of being torn by attack dogs the next day as he awaited in the dungeon.

At that point, I decided to stop it and read my Bible before bed. I opened to Philippians.
The Lord immediately brought my eyes to verse 2, then 1.

"Beware of dogs."
" To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe."

The Lord is so kind to speak to me from His words.
I remember the many times He has kept me safe from dog attacks. They usually attacked in pairs. One was a giant Great Dane walking home down the road one night after work. It and another dog kept lunging at me and I had no weapon.
(Has anyone read Sherlock Holmes, The Hound of the Baskervilles? Yes, dogs do kill people.)
This was a freshly paved road clear of debris.
I backed up from them wanting at least something to..... Wait, what's that???
I just backed into a big tree limb with sharp bare branches that were pointing perfectly forward away from the trunk where I lifted it from behind !
It was put there by the Lord in the exact place and time to fight off the dogs.
He did the same when he gave Samson the jawbone of an ass.
Praise the Lord for His protection!

Answered Prayer​

My favorite online Bible was hacked a couple days ago.
The hacker was demanding ransom. This was another spiritual dog attack.
I thought that I posted the prayer request, but must have made a mistake because normally every new post gets approved and put up promptly.
I just want to share my answer to prayer because I just checked and the Bible website is back and working.
There have been a number of demonic attacks I've seen this past week. Perhaps it has something to do with the satanists actively summoning them for their May Day worship ceremonies.

Praise You Lord! Thank you Lord for helping Your people restore the online Bible! I love You!

Kiss is her name, she has few nicknames .Last summer a kid just would not lay off that I tell him her nickname .So I did say her nickname is throneroom and wow the kid just went on on how something special happened to his mother . That was all Holy ghost doing . Its something I don't share here nick name" Jesus Kiss & throneroom" I shouldn't have to tell why

I've often said that dogs are a gift from God.
All I raised in my youth were very special. My last one Mom shared with me. She was a testimony of His healing from a major stomach tumor.

The back neighbours dog killed Mum's chicken Mary but spared Martha. Somehow he/she got in our property.
The owners apologised but nothing can bring Mary back. They then moved cos they were just renting. Now we don't have any dogs next door, but we have no chickens now either (years later, Martha died in her sleep)

I have a sign on the deck that says 'Beware of the Cat' our current kitty growls at other cats who try to encroach on her territory. she also catches birds...who catch worms, who eat soil, or bugs who eat plants...

So, I think it's kind of like the old lady who swallowed a fly....someone is always trying to kill and eat you.

The Bible says feed your enemies, so they are not hungry and they'll leave you alone instead of trying to kill and eat you. It's like heaping hot coals on their head or something. Or you could attack them with a stick/fly swat/gun but if they don't die straight away, they'll tell their other kin and raise an army and go after you with a nuclear bomb.

Moral of the story, don't invade other countries when hungry and steal their food. What is food for you may be cherished pets for them. Wait until you've been offered food.

Idk, my testimony doesn't have much to do with food or fighting off dogs. Unless it's the black dog of depression.

What is that? I thought May Day was like Labour Day, you get a day off work. Nobody does anything on Labour day, except plant tomatoes.

I wish I did because it was truly a miracle that the Lord put that tree limbs exactly where I needed it and when I needed it.

Cos if they did I have never heard of it.
I thought Halloween was more the highest holiday for witches and satanists.

Communists I can understand Labour day, but, I don't think they do sacrifices and demon worship.

Pagans just do a maypole dance thing, but that's a spring festival thing. We don't have spring in May in nz, so we don't have maypoles or dancing around them. I thought it just was a fun thing they did, not a sacrifice and demon worship.

And I don't think I'm a normal person, the Bible calls me a peculiar people, and some would if they were being mean about it, class me as a Jesus Freak because all christians are weird to them and don't do a lot of things like drink and drive and swear which is the norm in some cultures.

I love cats, but I'm not sure what would tip me over into being classified as a 'crazy cat lady'. I just grew up around lots of cats.

I don't know if chicken lovers get called 'Crazy chicken ladies' Or 'crazy chicks'

And why mans best friend dog lovers don't get called Dumb dog dudes or something else semi-derogatory. But for some reason women who like cats are maligned and thought of as witches.

I mean if you were a zoo keeper or a vet, you are gonna take care of animals! Farmers do that for a living. They don't get called crazy. Shepherds love their sheep. Well they are meant to, otherwise the SPCA will get on to them.

Of course animals can be our companions. What is wrong with that. Blind people do need a guide dog. You can't expect a human to be with you 24/7 and a comfort in the way pets can.

When I was dog-sitting (and I don't think I would do it again, as this particular dog was exhausting for me) I took the dog out every day for a walk, and I think maybe she, like most female dogs do, attracted a male dog, and they were sniffing each other. I had put her on the lead but some other, bigger dogs came onto her and tried to attack her! They didn't go after me, they tried to go after the dog, but if they were going to go after me, I'd have a dog that would try and protect me. I think...in the dog world, there's a hierarchy, just as there is in the cat world and if you earn their trust, or feed them, they will be loyal to you.

BTW we only have one cat in our household. She's a bit spoiled being the only kitty, Sometimes we had two and at one point we had a whole cat family (long story) but I think if you are responsible and get your cat de-sexed (spayed or neutered) you won't have too many problems. Because when cats mate thats always a drama.

That's what makes learning throughout our lives so interesting. There's always something new we can learn. Don't you agree?

A cat owner, but not like a neighbor who decides to breed generations of feral cats so that everything smells like urine and they killed every bird in my sanctuary .
