I forgot to introduce myself. Is that how it’s supposed to begin? Lol

My name is Melissa. I am a Californian and I have no cats. I have a dog, four kids all grown except one teenager at home. I’m raising one grandchild so I basically have four grandkids and I’m only 50. People say I look young but I don’t believe them.😂

Short testimony of how I came to believe in Christ is that I was young and lost in the world with no hope so I choose dope. Lost everything but in that pit of despair, I looked at the One who cared. He was real. I could taste the gift and I put out my hand and he lifted me up and gave me a place to stand. Unashamed and cleansed of my sins, at the cross was where it’s all begins.

Jesus is my rock. Without Him, I would be nothing and without hope, there would be no way to have real joy through it all. ❤🌿❤️🌿❤️🌿❤️🌿❤️🌿❤️

Welcome!
:)

Welcome Melissa, from where I am you look young, but then I am also old enough to be your father. Raising two generations at one time sounds like a challenge, especially with a dog in the mix. I prefer taking the attitude that I raised my children, grandchildren are for spoiling, get them all hyped up and then return them to their parents, although mine are now old enough that I am hoping for Great grandchildren to spoil before returning them to their parents. But if you expect special consideration for having four grandchildren at 50, look elsewhere. I knew a woman who was a grandmother at 32, dysfunctional family and who observed that if the pattern she started by having a child at 16 continued, she would be a great grandmother at 48.

Thank you! ☺️ My grandkids are from age 2-10. I’m not complaining! I started at 18. Children are a blessings from God so I hope I can share the love of Christ with them until I go be with the Lord someday.

Psalm 18:2
New International Version
2 The Lord is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer;
my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge,
my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.

Romans 5:8
New International Version
8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Luke 15:1-7
New International Version
The Parable of the Lost Sheep
Now the tax collectors and sinners were all gathering around to hear Jesus. 2 But the Pharisees and the teachers of the law muttered, “This man welcomes sinners and eats with them.”
3 Then Jesus told them this parable: 4 “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it? 5 And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders 6 and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’ 7 I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.

Hi Melissa
Greetings from across the pond Lake District UK
May the Lord bless you and look after you.
We all have been in a hard place or a lot of us have and come to realise this World has no answers to the important things in life and there is only one true answer but remember the shepherd always knows where His lambs are.
Love in the Lord Allen
