In historical context, it was for Israel, not gentiles.Everything thing needed for being saved has been done, so with our repentant faith we would be in Christ, and restored to God. Would we not want to seek God's will? There is change then. Have you changed in Christ? How so? The Sabbath is the day of rest God provided for man. It won't save you, yet God meant it for us, while some argue against it, with passages that don't tell us to not observe to rest on the Sabbath day meant for that. What has Jesus Christ said about it? Was it other than what God said? Was it up to a church?

The sabbath is the fourth commandment. It was given to Israel. Lord Jesus spoke as a Jew, to Jews, under the Old Covenant of Lwa.27Then Jesus declared, “The Sabbath was made for man,"---so we don't work ourselves to fatigue/death
13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
"3 remember the sabbath day to keep it holy"
In context the new covenant is for Israel and Judah. In historical context, it was for Israel, not gentiles.
Exodus 31:17
The Sabbath will be a sign between me and the Israelites forever.’” (The Lord worked six days and made the sky and the earth, and on the seventh day he rested and relaxed.)
You really think that God needs to rest? Your god is way too small. In context the new covenant is for Israel and Judah.
Heb 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
We are all one in Christ.
We should worship everyday
But only the 7th day sabbath was sanctified and made holy.
Only the 7th day sabbath was set aside to be remembered as the Sabbath.
Only the 7th day sabbath was to be the day of rest each week..
Heb 4:9-10
9 There remaineth therefore a rest (sabbath) to the people of God. 10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
"as God did from his".
Please take note... as God did from his....God did need to have Spiritual rest in salvation, or emotional rest or any type of rest except a rest from physical work.
If we have a rest the same as God did, we will have physical rest on the day God assigned and blessed.
God didn't need to but He did as an example for us.You really think that God needs to rest? Your god is way too small.
God has finished the task. He was delighted with the result. What was left to do?God didn't need to but He did as an example for us.
Gen 2:2-3
2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. 3 And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.
It is clearly stated that God rested from His work. He didn't need to but did. You need to ask yourself why God did. ???
History reveals that the early church kept Saturday, the 7th day, as the Sabbath and it was not an issue. No debate.God has finished the task. He was delighted with the result. What was left to do?
Now it is vital for man's well being to have a day of rest. What is not important is which day that is. The law of Moses was given to Israel. It was not given to the gentiles. Paul said that he became like a Jew when ministering to Jews and like a gentile when ministering to them.
There is zero suggestion that gentiles obeyed the sabbath. Why would they? They followed the requirements of their own governments. It is obvious from God's word that God did not impose the law of Moses on the church. The opposite is true. There is an entirely new law, the law of the Spirit of Life in Christ Jesus. When believing Jews tried to impose the law on gentile believers, Paul and Peter rebuked them.
Christians mostly meet on Sunday. In the New Testament that is known as the Lord's day. As long as people meet to fellowship, learn and worship, the day does not matter.
What really bugs me is that the religious "Johnny come latelies" dismiss hundreds of years where people sacrificed their lives for the sake of the gospel. The gospel was preached to vast numbers of people before SDA appeared on the scene. Then they have the hide to pretend that they alone have the truth. Believers were burned at the stake for holding to the truth, but they are dismissed because they did not go to church on Saturday. God will judge those who wrongly judge His people.
History reveals that the early church kept Saturday, the 7th day, as the Sabbath and it was not an issue. No debate.
The RCC openly claim to change the day by their own authority.. they say it is not biblical to worship on Sunday but they by God's direction changed the day.
So the early church worshiped on the same sabbath as the Jews. But when Rome changed things they burnt the bible and forced their way of thinking on people.
By the Holy Spirit God helped people to reform. They may not have had all the light but they made big steps in bringing the light back to the people.
History reveals that those most persecuted by the RCC were sabbath keeping Christians. Groups who preserved the true faith and sought refuge from papal persecution during the Dark Ages were the Waldenses, Albigenses, and Huguenots, who often found safety in the mountains and secluded wilderness areas.
The Waldenses: Also known as the Vaudois, they were prominent for keeping the light of truth burning behind the bulwarks of the mountains for a thousand years. They were found throughout the valleys of Piedmont and scattered seeds of truth across Europe, from Spain to Poland. Many were specifically noted as Sabbatati because they kept the Saturday Sabbath.
The Albigenses: Located primarily in southern France, these gentle people were targeted by Pope Innocent III in a bloody crusade that resulted in a million deaths. They were known for their pure lives and deep knowledge of the Scriptures. The Albigenses were indeed observers of the seventh-day Sabbath throughout the long period of papal persecution.
The Huguenots: These French Protestants battled for sacred rights and suffered immensely, most notably during the St. Bartholomew Massacre. Despite horrific slaughter, they continued to multiply, holding the Bible as their only authority. Seen a a peculiar people because they believed in all 10 of the commandments and many kept Saturday as the Lord's day.
The Cathari: Often referred to as Puritans, they were clustered in southern France and Flanders. They were observers of the seventh-day Sabbath and were known for their simulated works of justice and charity.
The "Church in the Desert": This term described the few descendants of ancient Christians in eighteenth-century France who hid in the mountains to cherish the faith of their fathers.
Christians of Ethiopia and Abyssinia: In Central Africa, these believers were lost sight of for centuries, enjoying freedom to observe the Sabbath until Rome discovered them and attempted to impose papal tyranny.
It does matter....It does not matter what day people meet as long as they meet. Everyone needs a day of rest.
We all have freedom to follow God's will or do what we want. Freedom to obey or disobey.I don't call locking people into a certain day of the week "freedom". It's law and defies the revealed word of God in the New Testament.
Not the same thing and you know it.It does matter....
Can I say ??? It does not matter which God we worship, as long as we worship one. Everyone needs a God to worship.
That doesn't work.
