Well, it is up to anyone how one chooses to believe. Some believe that people are Gods, because it is said so in the Psalm. Some believe that God hated and takes revenge, because it is said so in the letter of the Old Testament according to the appearances of those old times. Some do think that there are three Persons-Gods, because such is the appearance in the letter in some places. But others believe that there is only one God in one Divine Person, because they are careful not only about the letter, but how the letter is explained. And similarly, they are careful not to attribute any hatred and revenge to God, because God is Love, and there is no darkness in Him. And so some believe the Word according to the letter alone, but others take care to learn how the letter is to be understood.

Ok, but there is righteous judgment when it comes to Scripture, though; there is a right way and wrong way based on His word.

Some want to only believe in their traditions, and who seemingly takes a part of Scripture, while others want to negate things, because it doesn’t fit into their belief system (traditions). Rare is the noble Berean!

It’s best not to read humanism, or philosophy, because these will not give you the wisdom above. Only the living God can give you wisdom, enlightenment, and Truth.

I agree, but the philosophy and humanism should not be confused with the theology about the Word. One has to think of the Divine Love and Wisdom from the Lord out of the Word, and compare the theology in which he was born, or came to later, with the Word, so that he may not stay in the erroneous doctrine. For how otherwise would a man begin to see the truth, if he only sees it via the lens that he passively accepted from his good teachers?

The erroneous doctrine started when we were warned about the savage wolves coming into the church. This happened within that 1st century!

Agreed. But unless one compares the doctrine of his church with the Word, that is, compare it with the light from the Lord, how can be sure that he is in the truth? Do you think that those of the Spanish Inquisition or other who burned their opponents at stake alive, thought that they were in the error? Not, they were, in their minds, very prudent in their search for the enemies of the faith. It is not that they were paranoid or otherwise mentally challenged, it is just that they believed that their folly is the truth, and they are on the guard against the most dangerous heresies! And in fact at times they had to deal with those, but it does not say that they are in the truth.

In the early church it was indeed a challenge to resist the various heresies, but it would be batter if one would take it for granted, either with naive simplicity, if not cunning, that he is of the same quality or doctrine.

Abstractedly speaking, those who are, in their self-perception, in the sheep skins do not necessarily believe that they are the wolves. So,' they slaughter others believing that they are acting "in the name of the Lord" and carry the very Gospel of the Lord.

Easy! If you read and study the NC, you will know who has the truth. This is being like the noble Bereans.

In hind sight, we know that they were in error. God never told us to kill people based on His word.

Yes, because they didn’t have the written word, like we do today (I’m talking first century).

No rather, I believe that they indeed know they’re wolves, not caring for the flock. They come in with a purpose of tearing apart the church; hence the name given, savage wolves.

A lot of things, from the ideas (in thoughts, if not in speech) of the three distinct Gods, denying of the Divinity of the lord's Human, separating charity and faith, denying the holiness of the Word, let alone the various oppositions to the life of charity in the christian world, are not necessarily done by those who think that they are doing the wrong thing, but they either act as they were taught, or act believing that something is the right thing to do, for they do not really care what is the truth, and basically repeat their own teachings. The history is full of that."

Historically it is implied by the following, but spiritually it refers universally to wherever it happens.

""They will put you out of the synagogues; yes, the time is coming that whoever kills you will think that he offers God service." (John 16:2)

At times the following pattern was active:

"For I can testify about them that they are zealous for God, but their zeal is not based on knowledge."
