Heh, lately I have been on a bit of tear working certain words into songs like propitiation and reconciliation... I think
I have put those and other rhyming words (crucifixion, salvation, redemption ascension etc) into maybe ten songs so far!

This is one of my faves of those. I need to catalogue them, perhaps... ;) :giggle:

Mary is even referenced in this song (though not named)...
They are very good. Do you have a musical background? Is everything, the music and singing, AI generated?

I used to play guitar, and it was quite central in my life for quite a few years. It was during some
of those years also that I attempted to write poetry expressing my feelings, which was difficult
for me at that time, but it also became a matter of do or die in a sense... I also sang for a time,
but now? Eh, I have COPD, and just talking normally is sometimes challenging if I have just walked
somewhere... and walking itself is a challenge due to hip arthritis. Gosh, this aging business, huh?
Anyways yes, the music and singing is ai generated; a number of songs I generated over a hundred
versions of before forcing myself to pick one, regardless of its faults as I understood them, considering
I was the one trying to get certain results from those programs... like this one? Based on an old poem
(from 1988) but also augmented with material from my now perspective as a Christian = the generator
got to near the end of the song and dropped the last three lines. But who will know? LOL Besides me ;)

I have worked Latin, Greek and Hebrew into some of my songs.

And if you can handle another?

I have many times tried redoing this one in female voice but cannot fashion a good style prompt for it.

Now you're going into the future to try to tell me what I MIGHT say. So, are you a prophet now Nezzy? Yes, He's speaking of a literal eye, but just like His turning the other cheek reference He doesn't mean for us to literally do it. Why, you may ask? Because when the soldier slapped Him He didn't turn the other cheek, He asked why.

Keep yourself busy....

I was using that as an example of what you do.

If you used your concordance to also try to explain what Jesus meant when he spoke about plucking out your eye?

It will tell you the word 'eye' speaks of a literal eye.
Jesus in that context was ridiculing a common excuse for carnal sins from the Pharisees - "my hands and my eyes cause me to sin," in modern words, "boys will be boys", "I have human needs", "my body has a mind of its own". So of - ONLY IF - that's the case, pluck out your eye and chop off your hand, so you'll stop sinning.

God quickens our spirits at the new birth. You're talking about getting revelation revealed by the Holy Spirit, and Him bringing the Word to our remembrance. These don't bring about a revitalization of our souls it brings about a renewing of our minds(souls), pushing out the old way of thinking, not revitalizing it. We are to be led by our spirits, not our souls. Our souls (minds, wills and emotions) must decrease while we grow spiritually stronger by taking Gods' thoughts and making them our own.

I never called you a liar, I just asked you to be open and honest about your conversion experience. it might help someone. You only said that your conversion was irrelevant with no reasons given. God uses a lot of avenues for us to learn of Him, with the Bible being the foundational main source, but peoples testimonies, things He brings us through in life ( our experiences), etc., etc., also helps us understand His nature, character and trustworthiness, thereby we also learn of Him. We can't box God in.

I gave you reasons and you implied I was being dishonest. I showed you from the scriptures how one is drawn to Christ. I am no different to anyone else.

How can you be spiritually dead if you don't have one? But you can, according to Strong's NT3499- nek-ro-o, have a deadened one, that can be quickened.

The same way you can be physically dead when you don't have a body. Your analysis of nekro leaves a lot to be desired..

How can you hear spiritual things to be drawn to Christ if you have a deadened spirit that can't comprehend?

I'm guessing that you, like most song or poem writers( that I know of at least), express their life experiences, pen to paper. And I thank God you could express " the rest of the story ." :-)) I often think about people who go through difficult seasons, as I have, but don't know anything about Christ. I thank God that my parents made me attend church. When I went through previous difficult(rebellious) seasons, I knew the Name that was above all names, I knew where to turn. That's why our testimonies are so important these days, the only Christ they will see is the Christ in us, the Hope of glory. Keep at it Magenta, there is a reward. " He sent His Word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions." Psm 107:20 P.S. I have begun to print in only black and white and you STILL run out first :-)))

That would be spiritually bereft, to be spiritually dead it had to have, at one time, been alive.

It is interesting how you have created your own hiding place by presenting an unprovable inane position.
And, presenting it as fact.

Again, just as a battery thought dead but just needed an infusion of power to operate as it was created. So the spirit is infused with power by the Holy Spirit to hear( faith cometh by hearing) the Word of faith for salvation. I gave you dead, as in (dead in trespasses and sins Eph 2:1), nek-ro-o in Greek 3499, from Strong's Concordance and it says " to deaden i.e ( fig.) to subdue; be dead, mortify. To be dead in trespasses and sins you have to have a working body, to carry out the sin, and a soul (mind, will and emotions) to decide to. So the only part of a person that could be deadened is the spirit. That should be easy to comprehend. That satisfies my desire to know, it's proof. P.S. When did you give me reasons for not sharing your conversion story?

I proved what I professed but you didn't receive it because you know more than Strong's and others who have researched Gods' Word for years. Who am I to believe, you?? I presented TRUTH, from accredited biblically researched sources (not commentaries, but concordances), you, mans opinion.

We are not dealing with a battery.
So there is no sense in trying to argue about it.
I have to tell you of earthly things because you are dull of hearing spiritual things. Hmmm, something like parables. P.S. You didn't address the rest of the post. Cherry picking? I WAS addressing Sawdust, it seems you guys need help.

Thank you so much! I was raised in a religious home but did not know Jesus, and quit the church as a teen,
believing there was something but not that. I still remember coming up to the time of my conversion being
distressed that I was "becoming one of them" because I was so opposed to the idea of organized religion
and the Biblical God, and this actually helped me once I did become Christian because I could relate so well
to those who I then began witnessing to, hoping to encourage to seek. When I first wrote poetry it was to
express what words in normal conversation could not, and in some very real ways was not allowed.
I composed this song from a couple of poems written after the God encounter "Grace" is based on:

So that would have been sixteen years before my conversion...

So you are saying one is reborn before they hear and believe the Gospel?
