It's probably a sin, and we should tell God all our cares and concerns I know.
But do you also tell other people what you are worried about and does it help? Or do you pretend and say 'everything's fine' when it's not.
Cos it might be too much to burden people with your problems.
Or are you genuinely worry-free? That would be nice, also, it's better for your brow to keep it crease free.

As for solving other peoples problems, I can't do that, as I can't control what other people do, or have all the answers. Maybe its just the thing 'you are not alone! or me too! or...its ok, join the club! I am not the only person in the entire world with this problem.

To be carefree, is sometimes in the world they claim you can have peace of mind only after you've bought comprehensive insurance that's super expensive or built a bunker underneath your house in the event of nuclear war....with stockpiled food and ammo. Yes some people actually do this! Especially if you've been told by others/the media/your church 'The world is going to end soon!'

Do you trust God for everything, and say 'God's got this,' everything's gonna be ok, and whatever happens it's gonna slide off you like eggs out of an well-oiled pan.. but if you take it too far and ignore the warnings...if a tsunami really is coming, you wanna have ringside seat by the coast, because you might reason nothing bad is EVER going to happen to you.. it might happen to others, but it won't to you. Hearts don't break, people don't die, and children don't have accidents and your house will never collapse like a deck of cards made of gib wood... and all this digital screen exposure is not gonna give you radiation poisoning.

Is ignorance bliss? Because we do have a large ignore button on this site. Maybe the world's ending doom is just a scare tactic? After all, we are still alive and breathing. I wish I could reassure everyone, but sometimes it just hurts to see people suffer and not be able to do much. Whatever they are going through, is their cross to bear, and if they don't want to give it all to Jesus, then maybe telling others is the only way they know someone may help.
Well I take it all back ! There I was , on this thread bragging and boasting about how I never worry about anything and then.........Today I've had one of the most stressful days for many many months . Everything that could possibly cause me stress happened in one day 😩 . I'm glad today is over , I've said plenty of prayers and God has got me through the day . Looking forward to tomorrow 😆 . Night night and may God continue to bless u all .

I actually find it really hard to know how to comfort someone who is worried about something if they r not a Christian . I used to b able to do it , before I knew the truth but now , I'm so very conscious of the fact that it is only God that can ease my heart and mind , I'm at a loss to find the right words to comfort an atheist / idolator . For me , there is no comfort or peace from anyone or anything of this world . God is my rock and if He isn't yours then I just don't know what to say to try to cheer someone up . I do try but my words sound so hollow and empty to me . If u r not a Christian then I haven't a clue how to comfort u or what to say to give u some hope because God is my only comfort and my hope is always in Him and His mercy and love . I have tried to mention this to my atheist family and friends but it doesn't sit well with them and I do understand why . It has taken me just over 30 years to get to where I am in my walk to God's Kingdom , so for me to expect my words to have any positive effect on none believers is probably a bit stupid of me . The older I get the more I feel a distance between me and people who r not Christians , I feel quite emotionally disconnected from them . I can still have empathy and cry with them and give hugs etc but , I cannot find any words that might help them because the only words that help me r God's Words .
Exactly. My dad was an aggressive atheist. I tried to witness to him after I was saved. I lived in Australia while the rest of the family lived in New Zealand. I went home on leave shortly after I was saved. He told me that he did not want to hear the name of Jesus spoken in his house. I went upstairs and put on my "One Way Jesus" T shirt.

Decades later and especially after my sister was saved, my dad mellowed a lot. He may have repented on his death bed, but my sister who was there is not sure.

My equally atheist brother has become even more aggressive, to the point where he will not talk to me at all. Him living in Canada does not help.

Atheists are impossible to deal with. They claim not to believe in God yet they claim the moral high ground and judge everyone who is not atheist. They will not accept the logic of their belief system. I tell them that if I evolved, I can no more not be a Christian than change the colour of my eyes. So far, no one has even tried to respond to that.

I was stressing about something today, as trying to organise movie night for club but thankfully was sharing burden with fellow member and when we couldn't figure it out called another member who came and helped out so we all sorted and disaster averted. Helps to have a back up.

The disaster wouldn't have been the end of the world, but it might have meant everyone gets to the club night and our movie doesn't show, so we'd have to find ways to entertain ourselves thanks to 'technical diffiiculties'. It's like getting a show on the road. The show must go on!

I don't handle stress too well when things don't go my way, member who's idea it was was worried we couldn't pull it off, and I was kind of roped into helping, but its ok if it happens it happens and if it doesn't we just go 'oh well' and then move on to the next thing. At least we tried.

Just as Jesus said if people aren't open (or shops are closed) no point forcing yourself in or breaking and entering, you just shake the dust off your feet and move on. Or wait another day when it is open.

I guess its different if it's something very high stakes and your reputation or life is on the line. Or you promised something but find you may not be able to deliver. I hate to let people down.

So anyway moral of story is...if worried or stressed don't be too proud to ask for help!! We can't always do things on our own. And nobody can do EVERYTHING unless they are Wonderwoman or Superman or have 8 arms like an octopus. People would gladly offer to help you if you let them..just give them a little reward and thank you afterward like a cuppa tea or something.

Atheists r often the first to blame God when something goes wrong in their lives , always makes me laugh . How can it b God's fault when they don't believe in Him ? They obviously don't understand irony 😆 .

I boasted that I had not spent a day in hospital since 1972. That was in 2015. I've had 5 stays since.

Apologies to Alanis Morrisette

Worrying is thinking about worst case scenarios, that may or may not happen
Concern is...caring for those already having a hard time?

I'm just thinking about the 'Concerned Relatives' who lobbied for a government investigation, to rescue the brainwashed cult members out of Jonestown as an example.
It would have been fruitless if the group was called 'Worried Relatives'

Is ignorance bliss?
Interesting... I just found out in 1742, Thomas Gray wrote the poem “Ode on a Distant Prospect of Eton College.” The line as Gray wrote it is: “Where ignorance is bliss, ’tis folly to be wise.”

He says it well, as poets are apt to do. I'm a fierce truther myself, so I never give "ignorance is bliss" a nod, but I don't go around telling people things that are no benefit to them, none of my business, etc.

I'm sort of the same
I wanna know the truth
I'm a librarian we are supposed to sort fact from fiction.

I don't like when people gossip and tell me things I don't really need to know though. Most of what people say is harmless, or just fun or they want to make it an interesting story (hence fiction) but I suppose its the 'I want to solve the mystery' part of me that wants to know as much as I can.

I don't know if I would make a good PI though (private investigator) although it works as a mystery shopper.
I'd never be accepted into Eton College though, they don't admit females anyway.

One of my old schoolmates who ended up working in Oxford, said I'd be smart enough to go there (Oxford University) but I think she was just humouring/flattering me.

Should I be stupid and ignorant instead and worry about the children or husband that I don't have? Singles are meant to be carefree, that's why we stay single.

Trusting God only works if just that by itself is good enough for you and there is nothing else to oppose or resist that belief with.

In the past i used to watch christian healing videos on you tube and i would always wonder why dumb people would always receive it while the smart ones usually wouldn't get anything.

Overdosing on knowledge can kill a person and all i have to say is that this world can be too "informative".

"Ignorance is bliss" could be a blessing if you're just dumb and your understanding is this is as far as you go but it could also be a curse if you know better.
