Do you mean there are Calvinists who defend the Sodomites?

I guess they would if they thought some Sodomites were elect,
but I referred to the last thing that was said: "search engines are basing their results on ungodly biases and censor the Biblical perspectives", because that is what many tulipists on CC do. Their ungodly biases demean God's justness/fairness and love for humanity, and they effectively censor Scripture by ignoring teachings that support belief in MFW rather than TULIP.

Assuming you are using "sodomites" as a synonym for "homosexuals", since you write "LGBT crowd" you have already revealed what you are.

From the Merriam-Websters English Dictionary
usually offensive
: someone who practices sodomyused as a term of abuse and disparagement for a gay person

Using "sodomite" for "homosexual" is certainly NOT Christlike nor how we are to imitate Paul as he follows Christ!

I would not trust what the Family Research Council claims, but it would be better if you actually quoted in full what they stated. It is not what I find in study.

Using the Brave AI search engine, I asked "Do male homosexuals have a more violent nature than the male heterosexual?"

The answer came back with all the sources and it reads:

"Research consistently indicates that male homosexuals do not have a more violent nature than male heterosexuals. On the contrary, studies suggest that gay men exhibit significantly lower levels of physical aggression and violent criminal behavior compared to their heterosexual counterparts. While the total amount of aggression may be similar, the expression of aggression differs, with gay men less likely to engage in physical violence and more likely to utilize verbal or indirect methods."

Anyone can ask their various AI search engines and see the sources and the answer above comes back pretty consistently.
My bible mentions sodomy as an abomination. The term sodomite seems to line up.

You need to revisit your research....
Just saying....use some real life perspective to go with it.

Unseasoned meat to burn....
Vs
Seasoned meat roasting slowly...

Go with it....

Big difference between flat reading and researched reading.
The meat was not just to burn. The meat was also for the priests and Levites to eat. Salt preserved it if it was not eaten immediately. I've not found any scholar who believes that salt refers to zeal. If you know of anyone apart from yourself, let me know and I'll check it out.

Personally, I don't use salt to gee me up. That's my real life perspective.

Thanks for clarifying that. I answered a number of jon777 personal attacks and wasn't sure which topic you meant.
I expect AI will continue to go the way that Google and other search engines did. These are definitely times to depend on the Word of God and His Spirit for understanding.

Well, I have found AI to be better/truer to GW than what tulipists say.
For example, AI says the following:

[[[Many other Christian traditions argue that TULIP contradicts the Bible, often citing different passages: [1]
  • Universal Offer: Critics point to verses like John 3:16 and 1 John 2:2, which state that Christ died for the sins of the "whole world," as evidence against Limited Atonement. [1, 2]
  • Human Response: Some argue that commands to "repent and believe" (e.g., Mark 1:15) imply a level of human ability or free will that is incompatible with Total Depravity and Irresistible Grace. [1, 2, 3, 4]
AI can make mistakes, so double-check responses.]]]

The last admission is more humble than tulipists on C!!

I believe what Paul says in Romans 1&2 that their sexual perversion is the curse as a result from the wickedness in their hearts.
That's why it's an abomination.
It's the result of sinful lifestyles and hearts.....not "just a preference."
Or even "as a result of abuse". That doesn't fly either.
The desire is the result of a curse.

God created the natural order....including the curse of homosexuality which keeps wickedness from reproducing.

I hear the testimonials about how they can't help being attracted to the same sex....and I would think that to be true. Their days of choosing righteousness have sailed away ....far far away. They no longer have a choice at all.

Pharoah had a choice....until he didn't.
Sampson had a choice....until he didn't.
Judas had a choice....until he didn't.
Lots of people had choices until the ability was taken away from them.

Curses are not issued out by God. They are issued by the Earth and the natural order systems that rule it. The self correcting systems that restore order....

Cut off feet do not grow back.

I tend to agree with Paul, but I realize the NT folks had little knowledge of genetics,
so they tended to ascribe all diseases to sin--which is true in a macro way,
because the curse resulted from the original sin, but Jesus indicated that
sin is NOT the cause of all micro/individual cases.

Ummmm
The old debate about corporate sin vx individual sin was answered by Jesus....and he healed the man born blind to prove his point.

But Homosexuality is not the same....it's a sin of identity. It's not the same as blindness, or a physical ailment of some sort...
Its a sin that creates an identity within you that precludes having any other identity.

I'm not what I would consider a hetero Christian....and nobody else does that either....until you get to the LGBTQ crowd. They have to preface anything and everything they are with their sexual perversion. It completely defines them.

So even if you say "Homosexuality is a sin" the ONLY thing they hear is that you are saying that they are a sin....not their preference....they, themselves, their whole identity is a sin.

And that's why it's different from all other curses. Both in application or lifestyle.

I don't think a genetic marker for homosexuality has been disproved,
which is why I opine that unbiased research is needed in order to learn whether it is not the same
and thus what the cure needs to be: a "vaccine" or Christian counseling leading to repentance.

Sin is sin. All sin separates you from God. It doesn’t matter if they’re mental. We must all repent.

To enlighten the ignorant on the proper use of AI search engines.
1. Use multiple search engines and see how much agreement you find among the answers.
2. Look at the links where the various search engines state upon what sites the answers are based.
3. Have knowledge to some degree on what you are searching, so you are not easily misled.
4. There are several good free AI search engines:

https://www.perplexity.ai/

https://search.brave.com/

https://www.qwant.com/ … Not actually an AI, but gives excellent search results

https://duck.ai/

https://copilot.microsoft.com/

https://www.google.com/

https://chatgpt.com/

https://andisearch.com/

On doctrinal and theological questions, I do check all of these 8 plus one paid AI I use. I've studied the Bible and theology for many years, so I don't go into it as a novice. But at 84 I do have memory lapses, and these search engines are a great help.

For those seeking a good, up-to-date presentation on homosexual orientation, a current college psychology textbook chapter on it can be consulted: 06_myersep13e_47276_ch05_165_193_2pp.indd

This textbook link will help those serious about truth and factual information rather than personal biases and stupid prejudices!

I don't use the inclusive Bible, they do but I agree it pretty much is the same they just think it is saying something different than me and you do. It's no different than with other Scriptures where one thinks soon,at hand ect. means one thing while others think it means something else.
It doesn’t really matter what people think, it’s what God thinks about it. He gave us an example of what happened to these kinds of people in ancient times (Sodom and Gomorrah).

Today, many people try to normalize it. They’re obviously ignorant of Biblical morals.

My OP was aimed at the debauchery seen in the Gay Pride Parades. For that small minority of men, maybe <2%, who are attracted to and love romantically only other males and not females, they did not choose this, therefore it has to be how God made them, Rom.9:20-21; these men I do not see in scripture as sinful solely on who they love and are a faithful relationship. In addition, I have no idea who God wrote in the Lamb’s Book of Life from before the creation, Rev. 13:8, RSV/ESV. Because of this, for one reason, Jesus in a parable warned about us picking who the elect individuals are -

“He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The slaves said to him, ‘Then do you want us to go and gather them?’ But he said, ‘No; lest in gathering the weeds you root up the wheat along with them. Let both grow together until the harvest; and at harvest time I will tell the reapers, Gather the weeds first and bind them in bundles to be burned, but gather the wheat into my barn.’” (Matt 13:28-30, RSV)

Yes, I believe there are men who only love other men who are also loved by God Himself, and he proves it by his crucifixion, 1 Cor. 2:7, therefore -

“But God gives proof of His love to us in Christ's dying for us while we were still sinners.” (Rom 5:8, Weymouth)

“…Thou hast been offered in sacrifice, And hast purchased for God with Thine own blood Some out of every tribe and language and people and nation,” (Rev 5:9, Weymouth)

There in Rom 5:8 & Rev. 5:9, we see that God proved his loved to the elect and it is clearly stated that the elect come from among all categories of men.

“There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.” (Gal 3:28, RSV) *This is about salvation, not the differences between men and women, and their God-given roles.

Paul again as quoted from Gal. 3:28 shows that God does not show partiality, ALL kinds and categories of men are the same as justified in Christ.

“The saying is sure and worthy of full acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners. And I am the foremost of sinners; but I received mercy for this reason, that in me, as the foremost, Jesus Christ might display his perfect patience for an example to those who were to believe in him for eternal life.” (1Tim 1:15-16, RSV)

We must recognize that Christ came to save sinners and Paul said he was a major sinner. Then think of David, a man after God’s own heart, who committed adultery, leading to conception, and then to cover up his sin, arranged the murder of Uriah, his faithful warrior. So, we can’t always know just by what we perceive to be anyone’ sin.

No doubt there are those of God’s elect who may be marching in the Pride Parades, but we can’t determine which ones they are. We can though, discern debauchery boasted of.
Do you not know the story of Sodom and Gomorrah?

The LGBT crowd are exponentially more violent than the average population.

Male Sodomites are 19X more violent than their normal/straight counterparts.

Females 165 times more violent than heterosexual females.
Stats from the Family Research Council

With individual exceptions, sodomites are generally violent, especially when in a group/gang setting.
Basically, I think it’s just the Left in general!

Derek Prince is WRONG about salt being a preservative....
Salt, as Jesus talked about it, was a reference to the Covenant of Salt.

No meat or other burnt offering could be placed on the altar without seasonings....making it taste good.

The Covenant of Salt was a reference for ZEAL. Salt became the symbolic representative for zealousness for God.

We could use some zeal for God in the world today! Not zeal for mr prince.
It means flavor. Don’t lose flavor!

““You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned? It is then good for nothing but to be thrown out and trampled underfoot by men.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭13‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

I agree. Many though only stop at the sodomite portion and miss the other descriptions of Sodom and her sister cities. The other's are listed in Ezekiel 16:48-50 in that she/they had plenty of bread(rich) but in their pride they did not strengthen the poor and needy. Which is why I don't rejoice in seeing all the massive cuts to SS and other services given to the poor and needy in the US while boasting it to be the richest nation at the same time. https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ezekiel 16&version=KJV

Do you not know the story of Sodom and Gomorrah?
Do YOU know the account of Sodom?

"But before they lay down, the men of the city, even the men of Sodom, compassed the house round, both old and young, all the people from every quarter:" (Gen 19:4, KJV)

Not just males were involved in this sin, it was the youth and old, men and women!

The Hebrew for men here is
H582 אֲנָשִׁים 'enowsh (en-oshe') [plural]
1. (properly) a mortal (and thus differing from the more dignified H120).

The Hebrew word does not mean "males", but mortals in general.

"And they said, Stand back. And they said again, This one fellow came in to sojourn, and he will needs be a judge: now will we deal worse with thee, than with them. And they pressed sore upon the man, even Lot, and came near to break the door." (Gen 19:9, KJV)

The account shows violence, an attempted rape. This has nothing to do with a simple male-to-male romantic relationship!

"As I live, saith the Lord GOD, Sodom thy sister hath not done, she nor her daughters, as thou hast done, thou and thy daughters. Behold, this was the iniquity of thy sister Sodom, pride, fulness of bread, and abundance of idleness was in her and in her daughters, neither did she strengthen the hand of the poor and needy. And they were haughty, and committed abomination before me: therefore I took them away as I saw good." (Ezek 16:48-50, KJV) *I'll take what the Lord GOD says over any creature!

The English "abomination" here is the Hebrew to ebah and Ezekiel uses this word 41 times, 37% of all the usage in the OT. In Ezekiel especially, this is indicating idols and things connected to idolatry.

From history we know what the Jews thought the sin of Sodom was about the year 180 BC -
"Neither spared he the place where Lot sojourned, but abhorred them for their pride." (Sirach 16:8 KJVA)

"He did not spare the neighbors of Lot, whom he loathed on account of their arrogance." (Sirach 16:8 NRSVA)
