They were the kingdom of God on the earth.
But they were not the fullness of the kingdom of God on earth that is to come
They were the kingdom of God on the earth.
Indeed. But all who are His sheep do. And they follow. Those who are not his sheep do not hearken to his voice
Sure, but His kingdom doesn't reside in a physical location. His kingdom exists where He rules and reigns. That is in the hearts of His people. But they were not the fullness of the kingdom of God on earth that is to come
Yeah, the heart the natural man does not have, for he can neither submit nor obey and that is explicitlyThat was a completely different situation. I'm talking about the inward voice in the heart
Thats not true, the criteria for people to hear the word of God with spiritual understanding and discernment, we must be already of God Jn 8:47No, it doesn't because people choose to hear or not to hear.
John 4:22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. How is it still of the Jews?
Many especially conservative Christian today support Israel right or wrong, no matter what Israel does. This is not biblical and is not at all how Jesus and the prophets addressed the Hebrew people. Jesus often rails against the religious Jews of his time and the prophets frequently stand up against the actions of their own people. Some subscribe to what is known as replacement theology. They reject the idea that God has any purpose for the modern nation of Israel. I find this patently absurd, for reasons I've already stated.
This morning I was listening to the late Derek Prince, who was literally there at the rebirth of the nation of Israel. He knows the scriptures as well as anyone, and better than most. He quoted one that I've overlooked to date and that answers a claim made by superessionists.
In the book of Revelation, John was receiving a vision of the last days. Most scholars believe this was written about 95 AD. Jesus was well and truly ascended, glorified and ruling and reigning. This is how Jesus is described: (Revelation 5:5)
Then one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep! Behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has triumphed to open the scroll and its seven seals.”
Replacement theology has no place in a believer's life. It can lead to antisemitism, as many Jews found to their cost. Salvation is still of the Jews. To show contempt for Israel is to belittle God's plan for that nation. We should be supporting Israel with our prayers and, if we able, with practical help. The world hastens to condemn Israel for Gaza's situation, ignoring the fact that the people of Gaza brought it on themselves. Many Israelis have lost their homes because of missile attacks, farmland has been destroyed and many farms were abandoned because of constant attacks by Hezbollah and Hamas.
I do not hear of aid convoys pouring into Israel. I do hear the constant lies about aid centres been shot at by the IDF. The reality is that Hamas has murdered many who seek food for themselves and their families. Hamas seeks to control aid distribution. They profit from it by selling it and they steal it to feed their fighters.
The world is under the control of Satan. We should not be surprised if the world hates Israel. As the church, we should know better.
Many especially conservative Christians today support Israel right or wrong, no matter what Israel does. This is not biblical and is not at all how Jesus and the prophets addressed the Hebrew people. Jesus often rails against the religious Jews of his time and the prophets frequently stand up against the actions of their own people.John 4:22 Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews.
Romans 1:16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
Salvation is of the Jews and the Gentiles were included.
Ephesians 2:12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world:
Ephesians 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ.
A Gentile when saved becomes part of the commonwealth of Israel because Israel is the Church.
Romans 11:1 I say then, Hath God cast away his people? God forbid. For I also am an Israelite, of the seed of Abraham, of the tribe of Benjamin.
Romans 11:2 God hath not cast away his people which he foreknew.
God did not cast away His people.
Jeremiah 31:35 Thus saith the LORD, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The LORD of hosts is his name:
Jeremiah 31:36 If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the LORD, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever.
Jeremiah 31:37 Thus saith the LORD; If heaven above can be measured, and the foundations of the earth searched out beneath, I will also cast off all the seed of Israel for all that they have done, saith the LORD.
Israel is still in operation for they will not cease to be a nation.
And God will not cast His people away.
Romans 11:25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in.
Romans 11:26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
Romans 11:27 For this is my covenant unto them, when I shall take away their sins.
Jeremiah 46:27 But fear not thou, O my servant Jacob, and be not dismayed, O Israel: for, behold, I will save thee from afar off, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and be in rest and at ease, and none shall make him afraid.
Jeremiah 46:28 Fear thou not, O Jacob my servant, saith the LORD: for I am with thee; for I will make a full end of all the nations whither I have driven thee: but I will not make a full end of thee, but correct thee in measure; yet will I not leave thee wholly unpunished.
Zechariah 14:9 And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.
Zechariah 14:16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.
When salvation is no longer available to the Gentiles then God will turn Israel to the truth and take away their sins and all Israel shall be saved.
Israel will be the only operating nation and government.
Revelation 21:12 And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and names written thereon, which are the names of the twelve tribes of the children of Israel:
Revelation 21:14 And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and in them the names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
The 12 tribes of Israel and the 12 apostles are written in the New Jerusalem.
Salvation is of the Jews for the covenants were given to them.
God did not cast away His people.
Israel is still in operation.
Israel is the Church.

It is true that God cares very much about Israel. It is equally true that God cares very much about North Korea, Iran and the Palestinian people. God "is no respecter of persons" and, no follower of Jesus should support Israel when she contradicts the teaching of Jesus and the prophets.

No lost sheep in your world.Indeed. But all who are His sheep do. And they follow.
I respectfully disagree with you on this. Yes God cares and loves his creation but Touch the apple of his eye and see what happens.
Of course there are. What a ridiculous thing to say.No lost sheep in your world.
So no new earth and heavens...........Just a new heart. Nothing PHYSICAL with the Lord JESUS CHRIST.Sure, but His kingdom doesn't reside in a physical location. His kingdom exists where He rules and reigns. That is in the hearts of His people.
So some sheep will not follow?Of course there are. What a ridiculous thing to say.
The new heavens came when Jesus cleansed heaven with His blood. Sin is no longer present there. This is why Jesus said shortly before His death in Luke 10:18 that He saw Satan fall from heaven. So no new earth and heavens...........Just a new heart. Nothing PHYSICAL with the Lord JESUS CHRIST.
Just study His NAME>>>>He is LORD over all.
Another ridiculous statement. Jesus clearly said His sheep hear His voice and follow Him.So some sheep will not follow?
@Cameron143 ~~~~Indeed. But all who are His sheep do. And they follow.
So he never has to go after a lost sheep?Another ridiculous statement. Jesus clearly said His sheep hear His voice and follow Him.
When Jesus goes seeking, He saves. Before He seeks, their estate is like all other unbelievers. They are dead, dominated, and doomed...Ephesians 2:1-3.So he never has to go after a lost sheep?
How you go from conservative to a blue haired Karen in point 2 seconds is unreal.
