Beasts do not have spirits, they have breath which is what the writer is talking about. Spirits are born of God. Beasts do not partake of God, only men do.

Your inability to recognise a question mark and your ignorance of what the word can mean in it's different usages keeps you from seeing the truth.

You said exactly that.

We are souls, our soul is made in the image and likeness of God. Our spirit is born of God when we believe the Gospel, it is never a created entity. It is given or born only, that's it.

You quote he will put a NEW spirit in man while advocating He resurrects an old one.

Our spirit is born, Jn.3:6 our soul is enlightened and transformed in it's thinking Rom.12:2 and our bodies are resurrected. 1Cor.15:42

Get the message straight or go peddle your crazy talk elsewhere. I'm done.

Have a nice day.
You are correct, I did post that mans spirit was made : " And God said. Let us MAKE MAN IN OUR IMAGE, AFTER OUR LIKENESS: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man IN HIS OWN IMAGE, IN THE IMAGE OF GOD CREATED HE HIM; male and female created HE them." Gen. 1:26-27. Question, is God's image flesh or Spirit? God is Spirit and He possesses a soul. His image is Spirit, not soul, because HE IS SPIRIT. That's why He tells us to " walk in the Spirit , and you shall not fulfill the lusts of the flesh." Gal. 5:16. Lust is in the soul (mind, will and emotions), not the spirit. When in Eze. 11:19 the writer, inspired by God, uses new, again, I'll tell you the root word of new comes from the Hebrew prime root word khaw--dash 2318; to be new; caus. to REBUILD:-- RENEW, REPAIR. Man became a "living" soul after God blew into his nostrils the "breath of life" Gen. 2:7. Before that he was not a "living" soul. So that breath or spirit, is the living force of man. When, as you have stated over and over again, breath and spirit are essentially the same, so when a baby takes in it's first breath it's breathing in spirit, according to your explanation of breath and spirit. When that child is born into the world," shapen in iniquity and conceived in sin",( Psm 51:5) it's spirit, or breath, is affected, or deadened to the spiritual things of God, but still in existence. When Jesus Christ is received the Holy Spirit then quickens( rebuilds, renews, repairs) our new or renewed spirits and only then can we receive the things of the Spirit of God. Whether quickened or not, our spirits are the life force of our existence. I have given you guys the meanings of "new " and "born" and the Hebrew and Greek meanings of those words and gave you the information of where to find them.
I am not saying you are lost.
Never would say that.

For, if you believed in Jesus?
You have the Holy Spirit.
Of Whom you are now grieving and quenching.

All those the Father gives me will come to me, and whoever comes to me, I will never drive away.
For I have come down from heaven not to do my will but to do the will of him who sent me.
And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise
them up at the last day. For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in
him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.”
John 6:37-40
I'm glad to see that NOW you're the Holy Spirit's spokesperson. Boy oh boy, you just keep giving yourself promotions, don't you. LOL.

Why do you respond to two posts by two different people with one post?

*Human*; fig. to REGENERATE:- bear, beget, be born, bring forth, conceive, be delivered of, gender, make, spring.*Spirit*

What has that got to do with making a "deadened" spirit to be alive? To be "born again?" NONSENSE!

You throw out words like a magician uses hand movements to get your eyes off of what he is really doing.

What you say is totally convoluted...

And, then you say to me?
"See! I am right!"

Stop with the BS.
You are obeying a wrong spirit, and you are becoming more like him the longer you keep denying the corrections that come your way.
There you go again. I have NEVER said to you," see I am right."... let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, that thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged." Rom.3:4. I know WHO I am, but you don't know WHAT you are. There you go with the names again, in addition to to being stupid, lost, etc., etc. NOW I'm, according to you, a magician , convoluted and like the devil. Again, I won't fall into the trap of offence, proven by my refusal to call you anything other than your name, shortened at times, but your name nonetheless. I receive the scriptures you have sent me, and I believe in them, but I don't receive your interpretations of what those scriptures mean. And I guess that's what makes me like the devil, convoluted, stupid, lost, etc., etc., in your eyes. :-))

Nicodemus knew exactly what the words Jesus used meant.
But, Nicodemus misconstrued what Jesus was getting at.

"How can someone be born when they are old?" Nicodemus asked.
"Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother's womb to be born!"

It was about being born!!!!!
Not, about snapping something out of a state of deadness!

So? .....
How long are you going to hang onto your stupid idea?
Yes! Stupid.

We all make mistakes.
Smart people make mistakes.

But, because they are smart?
They will allow for correction quickly.

Someone duped you.
That is the one who is your enemy.

.......
I kind of like when you call me names, it shows that God's Word is giving you pause to rethink your position. You guys have said, on more than one occasion, that you were through with me, but you're still here. So I guess you'll really stop now because if you don't, it'll prove my point. :-))

What I posted BEFORE* human* was it's meaning. What I posted BEFORE *spirit* was it's meaning, according to Strong's.

Nicodemus SHOULD have known what Jesus meant, according to Jesus' expectation, but he didn't. He didn't misconstrue, he didn't have a clue, as proven by his question. I know you don't THINK so, but if I'm correct wouldn't that stupid person be you who won't allow for correction and THINK you're smart. :-))

Tell me?

What spirit has been working on you to make you believe you are very smart?

We are supposed to test the spirits.

Because angels of light will bring our way false notions that are designed to make us think we are wise.
I have never said I was very smart, but you and your bro-mancer certainly THINK you are. Not many " very smart " are called.

When I had said that when we are born again, God gives us a human spirit?
Did you not say that we already have a human spirit?

Was that not you?
Yes, but I didn't say a "dead" spirit, I said, because of being shapen in iniquity and conceived in sin, our spirits were affected, DEADENED, by sin but still able to be quickened by the Holy Spirit at the receiving of Jesus Christ as Savior.

Once again your perspective of interpretation colours your thinking of what we say. I have never said you don't have the Spirit or that you are lost and to the best of my remembrance, have never called you names. I have attacked your thinking, your interpretation and your theology, but not you.

What I give and what you may take are not always necessarily the same.

grace and peace
With you guys being so intertwined maybe it wasn't you who called me those names, if not I apologize.

But we are not supposed to stay that way....

The law of the LORD is perfect (flawless), restoring and refreshing the soul;
The statutes of the LORD are reliable and trustworthy, making wise the simple.

But you said we were born with a deadened spirit.
When we were born body and soul. = meaning, spiritually dead.

In regeneration is when the Holy Spirit begets our human spirit. "Begets."
Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit... John 3:6

That still gives you a hard time.

Birth!
Not revived (quickened)

You don't.

Whether quickened or not, our spirits are the life force of our existence. I have given you guys the meanings of "new " and "born" and the Hebrew and Greek meanings of those words and gave you the information of where to find them.

You say we are spirits, the scriptures say we became living souls. Nowhere will you find the scripture calling us spirits. God created two souls in Gen1:27 and we would come to know them as Adam and Eve, two living souls.

Even you recognise we are born spiritually non-functioning. How then do you think we can think, emote, make volitional choices, have a conscience and be conscious of self and others before the new birth if that is the function of our spirit when our spirits are dead and non-functioning? These are the functions of the soul because that is what we are, souls. God does not speak to our spirits (when we are born again), He speaks through our spirits to our souls. It is our spirit that discerns the spiritual component of the message and enlightens our soul, ie. transforms our thinking so we think in spiritual terms and truth.

When, as you have stated over and over again, breath and spirit are essentially the same, so when a baby takes in it's first breath it's breathing in spirit, according to your explanation of breath and spirit.

I never said spirit and breath are essentially the same. I said the basic meaning of the word translated spirit is wind/breath. Sometimes it is used in the sense of breath, meaning one's life in general whether man or beast, as in Ecc.3:21 and sometimes it is referring to the human spirit as in Ecc.12:7 . I gave you the information regarding the translation. I wonder if you looked at it? It is being given a soul when a baby takes it's first breath. How can it be given a spirit and partake of God when he is born in sin? What has righteousness to do with unrighteousness?

God is Spirit and He possesses a soul.

God does not possess a soul, God the Son is both Deity (Spirit) and Soul (humanity) and it is in His image we are created. The Father is Spirit only. Only the Son speaks of His soul.

I have given you guys the meanings of "new " and "born" and the Hebrew and Greek meanings of those words and gave you the information of where to find them.

You have given us your selective interpretation of those words while ignoring the context in which they are used.

We are to be born again, once physical, second birth spiritual. No-one is born from a physically deadened state and no-one is born from a spiritually deadened state. John 3:6 is a straight forward comparison between physical and spiritual birth.

When Jesus Christ is received the Holy Spirit then quickens( rebuilds, renews, repairs) our new or renewed spirits and only then can we receive the things of the Spirit of God. Whether quickened or not, our spirits are the life force of our existence.

And once again you refuse to explain how it is possible for this deadened (so called) spirit to receive the Gospel message so as to be reborn. You keep making the statement but never explain how it is so. It is a 'flat battery with no juice to function' according to you.

With you guys being so intertwined maybe it wasn't you who called me those names, if not I apologize.

You're the one doing the entwining.

And once again more projection on your part. I have never said I was smart either.

This victim playing on your part is getting very tiresome. 🥱

If man only receives a spirit upon salvation that means God had to create a new spirit
God does create a new spirit when a person does not suppress the truth in unrighteousness when the gospel of Christ is preached to him or her (Rom 1:16-19).

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature [Greek = ktisis = creation]: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

ktísis
– creation (creature) which is founded from nothing ... and, yes, God does exactly what His Word tells us He does.

The moment the gospel of Christ, which is the power of God unto salvation, was believed by me/you, God created within me/you that which is needed in order to be
in Christ.

" And I will give unto them one heart, and I will put a NEW SPIRIT within you; and I will take the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them an heart of flesh:" Eze 11:19. The word "new" in this passage is the word Heb. 2318 khaw-dash; a prime root; to be new; caus. to REBUILD:- RENEW, REPAIR. Since God has completed creation, new, in this case, means to rebuild, renew or repair mans spirits.
I do not agree that what God creates within at the time a person is born again is just the old "repaired". God gives a completely new heart ... the heart of stone is not "rebuilt/renewed/repaired". God gives a completely new heart ... a heart of flesh.

The new heart is part of the new creation God creates within the newly born again believer ... the new heart is spiritual in nature.

His will is that none be lost and if He hadn't equipped all of us with what was necessary to receive Jesus, He would be a respecter of persons, He could be blamed, there would be an excuse to be had.
Yes ... God has equipped all with what is necessary ... God is no respecter of persons ... there is no excuse and Romans 1 tells us what occurs when the gospel is preached and someone suppresses the truth in unrighteousness ...

Romans 1:16-20

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

17 For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;

19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.

When someone suppresses the truth in unrighteousness (vs 18), that does not change the gospel of Christ from being the power of God unto salvation (vs 16). The gospel of Christ was/is/always will be the power of God unto salvation. And God reaches out more than once during someone's lifetime.

When a person does not suppress the truth in unrighteousness, God can then work within to bring the dead to life.

When a person suppresses the truth in unrighteousness, no change occurs within. If a person continues to suppress the whole of his or her lifetime, he or she will be judged according to his or her works (Rev 20:13).

We are for now through with you.
For there is little hope of you wanting to correct yourself.

So, we must simply use you now.
Use your stubbornness to show others what the Word of God teaches for those who are willing to learn and better understand.
And, to set and example of how to avoid those whom Peter described here... 2 Peter 3:15-16

Bear in mind that our Lord’s patience means salvation, just as our dear brother Paul
also wrote you with the wisdom that God gave him. He writes the same way in all his
letters, speaking in them of these matters. His letters contain some things that are
hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, as they do the other
Scriptures, to their own destruction.

Some things in God's Word are meant to be hard to understand.
It exposes or reveals who and what we really are.

There are those who make up shortcuts by distorting what the Word says, as to give what appears to be an answer.

"You must be born again."

In your thinking?

"You must wake up the deadened baby."
