So why do you obsess over the Sabbath? The church managed well enough meeting on Sundays until Sabbatarians decided to sow discord among the brethren. I don't care what day believers meet. I do care that Sabbatarians dismiss mighty men of God as carnal because they meet on Sundays. Some of those Sunday worshiping "heretics" were burnt at the stake for Christ. Others were imprisoned, stoned, beaten and tortured. Sunday worshiping Watchman Nee founded hundreds of churches in China before the communist takeover. He was imprisoned for 20 years. The communists feared him so much that they kept him in prison until he died. But that's not good enough for SDA.

Meet whenever you like. Leave others to meet when they like. Colossians 2:16
God is Judge not man.
Many people don't understand or have never known the truth and the just, fair God will judge us accordingly.

The SDA church does not judge who is saved. The church has a job to tell people about the gospel truth.
Love does not hide the truth
love tells the truth and reveals the mistakes. If I am doing something wrong then I appreciate people telling me in a loving way. But it needs to be shown from scripture.

There will be people in heaven from every denomination, and they all teach different doctrines. God knows the heart.

But if God has revealed something to me and I stubbornly reject or refuse to see it, He will also judge me accordingly.

You're totally forgetting that the Sabbath was a command given to the Israelites only and not to the Gentiles if you actually can read 8th grade English or Greek or Hebrew it's painfully obvious it was directly to the nation of Israel and not to anyone else
The sabbath was made for man. ALL MEN.

This thread is still going ! I’m enjoying the Sabbath now the sun just went down , I have a beautiful view as well overlooking the Columbia River in BC ! Some times I get so blessed ! This one is starting out very well ! It’s amazing how blind people can be to the truth . The god of this world has blinded many . He also uses the scriptures . Remember when Jesus was tempted, he used scriptures out of context of course. Jesus knew them correctly. Remember Jesus said it is written. Every time .
We closed sabbath a few hours ago.
Praise God for this physical rest.
Praise God for the mental rest.
And Praise God for the Time to spend with God and Family and nature focusing on spiritual things.

People say you can do it any day of the week, but God blessed the 7th day and said to keep it holy. He did not say any day is okay. The sabbath is devoted to Holy time with God and I need to stop myself from focusing on work or worldly things that take me away from God. I can worship God every day but I can't devote every day to God like the sabbath because God said the sabbath is Holy and blessed. Only the 7th day sabbath is dedicated to God as the Lord's Holy day.

Praise God for making that day a great blessing.

Praise God for making that day a great blessing.
Praise God for our 'sabbatismos' rest that believers have in Christ (Hebrews 4:9) in which the Sabbath was a shadow and Christ is the substance. (Colossians 2:16-17) Resting in the finished work of Christ is a beautiful reality. ✝️

The Greek word 'sabbatismos' in Hebrews 4:9 perfectly captures this perpetual, spiritual rest that believers have in Christ in contrast with keeping the weekly Sabbath day under the law.

There is absolutely nothing in Scripture that discusses the changing of God’s only holy day to another day. No one may change His holy day - regardless of their reasons.
Amen Brother !
Shame on you Magenta for misquoting scripture, trying to deceive folks to believe that God's created Seventh Day Sabbath has been changed to the Roman Catholic ~> anti-Christ's , Sunday "Lord's Day.

Deception & lying are SIN ! to be dealt with appropriately during God's on going Judgment,
IF you do not repent and ask Jesus' forgiveness.

Col 2:16-17 "Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ." ~~> KJV Bible

It is obvious from this verses context and the KJV version's NOT capitalizing the "sabbath" "s" and added "s" on the end of "day" in "sabbath dayS" that the sabbath days that are being referred to are the sabbath days of ceremonial sacrificial days ... which pointed to the coming Jesus, the Christ. As they were a shadow, of His Coming, " The Body of Christ" HIS Sacrifice, death and resurrection. His AtoningBlood ! ... Your deception may stems from reading a corrupted by the Roman Church, Bible like the NIV. This whole line of "modern" Roman Church bibles, have an agenda to corrupt and lead people away from the Righteousness of Christ and towards perdition.

The weekly sabbath rests on a more permanent foundation, having been instituted in Paradise to commemorate the completion of creation in six days. Lev 23:38 expressly distinguished “the sabbath of the Lord” from the other sabbaths. A positive precept is right because it is commanded, and ceases to be obligatory when abrogated; a moral precept is commanded eternally, because it is eternally right. If we could keep a perpetual sabbath, as we shall hereafter, the positive precept of the sabbath, one in each week, would not be needed. Heb 4:9, “rests,” Greek, “keeping of sabbath” (Isa 66:23). But we cannot, since even Adam, in innocence, needed one amidst his earthly employments; therefore the sabbath is still needed and is therefore still linked with the other nine commandments, as obligatory in the spirit, though the letter of the law has been superseded by that higher spirit of love which is the essence of law and Gospel alike (Rom 13:8-10).

Whether or not one observes the Sabbath is a personal choice I'm glad you enjoy it but there is no edict in the Bible to keep it for the Gentiles since it was never applied to them
The fact that there is no gentile or Jew today. Makes me wonder what your talking about. We are ONE in Christ. NOT TWO GROUPS BUT ONE FAMILY.

Gal 3:27-29
27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. 28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. 29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

Col 3:10-11
10 And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: 11 Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.

But context is important.

Heb 4:4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.

God rested on the 7th day literally
God's rest was a rest from labour and it was 24 hours and it was on the 7th day.
Clear.

Heb 4:9-10
9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God. 10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

AS GOD DID....LIKE GOD DID .... THE WAY GOD DID.

We are told to cease from our own works like God did...

Clearly the way God did at creation.

~~ The Battle against God's Sabbath ~~

The Great Controversy between Christ and Satan ultimately comes down to a battle of worship, truth, and obedience. In this framework, anyone who takes upon themselves the role of preaching and teaching Scripture is operating under either the Spirit of Truth or the spirit of error. The message they declare—whether it aligns with God’s holy law, particularly God's Sabbath and the true biblical Jesus, or with human tradition and disobedience—identifies them with either the true prophetic movement of God, His remnant Church having the "Spirit of Prophecy" or the deceptive "False Prophet", presenting the Antichrist spirit in this world.

Here is how this is explained through the KJV Bible and the Spirit of Prophecy:

1. Testing the True vs. False Prophet by Doctrine and the "True Jesus"
Ellen White and the pioneers taught that you cannot determine a true teacher or prophet by miracles, charisma, or sincerity alone. The ultimate test is their adherence to the Law of God and the testimony of Scripture. If a preacher teaches that God’s law (including the Sabbath) is abolished, they are preaching a "false Jesus" and operating under a false spirit, the spirit of Antichrist, the spirit of " The Dragon, The Beast and the False Prophet."

  • Isaiah 8:20 (KJV): "To the law and to the testimony: if they the speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them."
  • 1 John 4:1 (KJV): "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world."
  • 2 Corinthians 11:4 (KJV): "For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, ye might well bear with him."
  • Matthew 7:15, 20 (KJV): "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves... Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them."
2. The Remnant Church and the Spirit of Prophecy
The remnant church at the end of time is a prophetic movement. Because they have fully surrendered to Christ, He dwells in them through the Holy Spirit. This indwelling of Christ empowers them to live obediently, keeping the commandments. By having the "testimony of Jesus," which the Bible defines as the "Spirit of Prophecy," the remnant acts as God’s true prophetic voice to a dying world, calling people back to authentic worship.

  • Galatians 2:20 (KJV): "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me."
  • Romans 11:5 (KJV): "Even so then at this present time also there is a remnant according to the election of grace."
  • Revelation 12:17 (KJV): "And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ."
  • Revelation 19:10 (KJV): "...worship God: for the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."
3. Apostate Protestantism as the "False Prophet"
The "False Prophet" of Revelation 16:13 is Apostate Protestantism. When the Protestant churches rejected the advancing light of truth (such as the Sabbath and the state of the dead) and chose to cling to papal traditions, they lost the true Holy Spirit. Consequently, they are filled with another spirit. Though they preach "Jesus," it is a disobedient Jesus who allegedly breaks God's law. Because they lack the true "Spirit of Prophecy," they are left to be guided by the "unclean spirits like frogs."

  • Revelation 16:13-14 (KJV): "And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs come out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet. For they are the spirits of devils, working miracles, which go forth unto the kings of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty."
  • Matthew 15:9 (KJV): "But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men."
  • 2 Timothy 4:3-4 (KJV): "For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables."
In The Great Controversy ... Ellen White explicitly warned that in the last days, the final conflict will be between the true Spirit of God (manifested in a commandment-keeping remnant who have Christ dwelling within them) and a counterfeit spirit (manifested in apostate Christianity). The "False Prophet" will use signs, emotional preaching, and false doctrines to deceive the world into breaking God's law, while the true remnant will lift up the genuine Jesus, who saves His people from their sins, not in their sins.

False Prophets teach and preach a "false Jesus".

Preaching a "disobedient Jesus" means presenting a counterfeit version of Christ who allegedly abolished His Father's moral law (the Ten Commandments) or authorized the breaking of it—specifically the fourth commandment, the seventh-day Sabbath.

When Apostate Protestantism teaches that the law of God was "nailed to the cross" or that grace removes the Christian's obligation to keep the commandments, they are fundamentally altering the character of Christ. They present a Jesus who excuses sin (which is the transgression of the law) rather than a Jesus who empowers His followers to overcome it.

Here is how they preach a "disobedient Jesus" and the KJV Bible verses that expose this error:

1. Teaching that Jesus Destroyed or Changed the Law
Apostate Protestantism often preaches that Jesus came to do away with the rigid law of the Old Testament, suggesting that He broke
the Sabbath to show it was no longer binding, or that He instituted a "new law" that replaced the Ten Commandments. By teaching this, they preach a Jesus who is at war with the Father's eternal law. The true Jesus explicitly denied this.

  • Matthew 5:17-18 (KJV): "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled."
  • Romans 3:31 (KJV): "Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law."
2. Teaching that Jesus Saves People "IN" Their Sins
By rejecting
the Sabbath and telling their congregations that obedience to God's literal law is "legalism," false teachers promote a "disobedient Jesus" who supposedly saves people in their continuous transgression of the law, rather than from it. The Bible defines sin strictly as breaking the law. A Jesus who allows you to continue willingly breaking the law (like keeping Sunday, a papal tradition, instead of God's holy Sabbath) is a counterfeit Jesus.

  • 1 John 3:4 (KJV): "Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law."
  • Matthew 1:21 (KJV): "And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins." (Note: From their sins, not in their sins).
  • Jude 1:4 (KJV): "For there are certain men crept in unawares, who were before of old ordained to this condemnation, ungodly men, turning the grace of our God into lasciviousness, and denying the only Lord God, and our Lord Jesus Christ." (Lasciviousness here refers to a license to sin/disobey under the guise of grace).
3. Ignoring the True Jesus' Own Obedience
The true Jesus of the Bible was perfectly obedient to the Father's commandments, including
the Sabbath.
( Luke 4:16 JKV ). Preachers of a "disobedient Jesus" strip away Christ's role as our perfect example of obedience. If Jesus kept the commandments, and He lives in us through the Holy Spirit ( Galatians 2:20 KJV ), then His Spirit IN US will also keep the commandments. To claim to know Jesus while refusing to obey His law is identified by Scripture as a falsehood.

  • John 15:10 (KJV): "If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love."
  • 1 John 2:4 (KJV): "He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him."
  • Galatians 2:17 (KJV): "But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is therefore Christ the minister of sin? God forbid."
Ellen White frequently warned about this specific deception in the last days. In The Great Controversy, she wrote about the error of "Antinomianism" (anti-law theology) that permeates apostate churches:

"Many religious teachers assert that Christ by His death abolished the law, and men are henceforth free from its requirements... But if it had been possible for the law to be changed or abrogated, then Christ need not have died to save man from the penalty of sin. The death of Christ, so far from abolishing the law, proves that it is immutable." (The Great Controversy, p. 466).

By holding onto Sunday worship (a commandment of men) and rejecting the
seventh-day Sabbath (a commandment of God), Apostate Protestantism preaches a "disobedient Jesus." They fulfill Christ's warning in Matthew 15:9 (KJV): "But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men."

Because they reject the true Spirit that leads to obedience, they are left to the deceptive, unclean spirits, .....of ~~>( Revelation 16:13 KJV )
... that gather the world to rebel against
God's Sabbath,
God's Character, His Government,& His Kingdom.

You can see this happening.

I agree.
Jesus came to save us from sin not in it.
Many religious teachers assert that Christ by His death abolished the law, and men are henceforth free from its requirements... The death of Christ, so far from abolishing the law, proves that it is immutable." (The Great Controversy, p. 466).
If only people could understand this point.

If the laws that defines sin could be changed why did God allow Jesus to suffer and die?

Colossians 2v 16-17 Let no one judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a feast, a New Moon, or a Sabbath. These are a shadow of the things to come, but the body that casts it belongs to Christ.
:)
Are the sabbath days referred to in Col 2 yearly Sabbaths or weekly sabbaths?

Verse 14 states... Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross;

Prove to me that the sabbaths in verse 16 are the sabbaths that God blessed and made Holy.

Praise God for our 'sabbatismos' rest that believers have in Christ (Hebrews 4:9) in which the Sabbath was a shadow and Christ is the substance. (Colossians 2:16-17) Resting in the finished work of Christ is a beautiful reality.
You constantly quote Col 2:16 to prove the sabbath is a shadow..

Prove to me that it is the weekly sabbath.
I have been shown that the sabbath referred to is the yearly sabbaths. Use scripture to show me.

Paul the writer of Colossians said...
Col 2:16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:

Because these were nailed to the cross... verse 14 do judge each other on these things...
If it is the 7th day sabbath was nailed to the cross I would not care about keeping it Holy.
But Paul the writer of Romans also said.
Referring to the 10 commandments ..

Rom 7:7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
Rom 7:12-14
12 Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good. 13 Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful. 14 For we know that the law is spiritual: but I am carnal, sold under sin.

Rom 13:9-10
9 For this, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness, Thou shalt not covet; and if there be any other commandment, it is briefly comprehended in this saying, namely, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 10 Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.

Paul does not talk about the 10 commandments being nailed to the cross.

No where does the Bible say any of the 10 commandments are nailed to the cross. But it does say the laws of ordinance are...

You directly quoted your UNDERSTANDING of scripture, inferred & derived from a Roman Catholic interpreted version of God's Word, as your reference, which promotes the Anti-Christ's agenda of deceiving souls to perdition.

Your right ! I should not have called you a liar, you have been deceived by Satan's spirit in the world from birth, just like most all on these other "false prophets" in this forum. As I was deceived as well, until I went to a Daniel & Revelation Seminar and realized
God's Prophetic Truth.

Col 2:17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ." KJV

Col 2:16 Let no one, then, judge you in eating or in drinking, or in respect of a feast, or of a new moon, or of sabbaths,

Col 2:16 "Therefore do not let anyone judge you by what you eat or drink, or with regard to a religious festival, a New Moon celebration or a Sabbath day. NIV
Col 2:17 These are a shadow of the things that were to come; the reality, however, is found in Christ." NIV

The "sabbath days" in Col 2:16 in the Textus Receptus line of Bibles, is a shadow ( ceremonies ) of the coming Christ ... NOT
God's Holy Seventh Day Sabbath.

Do you see the means of confusion, deception and corruption ? Ms Magenta ? The capitalization and removing the "s" ?

No where does the Bible say any of the 10 commandments are nailed to the cross. But it does say the laws of ordinance are...
Colossians 2:14 - Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross.

Ephesians 2:15 - having abolished in His flesh the enmity, that is, the law of commandments contained in ordinances, so as to create in Himself one new man from the two, thus making peace.

Colossians 2:14 and Ephesians 2:15 refer to the requirements found in the Mosaic Law which were violated. The debt is the punishment due for the violator’s sins. *Also see 2 Corinthians 3:6-9. None of us have perfectly obeyed the 10 commandments. We have all been found guilty. (Romans 3:23)

Explaining away Colossians 2:16-17 to merely mean ceremonial sabbaths only is a flawed argument. An unbiased reading of Colossians 2:16 shows Paul's reasoning here, "Let no one judge you regarding a,

festival - yearly sabbaths,
a new moon - monthly sabbaths,
or a sabbath day - weekly sabbath

Paul is clearing speaking about the observances of all Jewish holy days, including the weekly sabbath.

Paul refers to the yearly, monthly and weekly as representing the whole system. Yearly sabbaths were already referred to in Colossians 2:16 as "festivals". The "Year, Month, Week" pattern is well established in the Old Testament and Colossians 2:16 does not exclude the weekly sabbath.

Yearly, monthly, weekly pattern proves it includes the weekly sabbath

1 Chronicles 23:31 - Weekly sabbaths, monthly (new moons), yearly (fixed festivals)

2 Chronicles 2:4 - Weekly sabbaths, yearly (appointed feasts), monthly (new moons)

2 Chronicles 8:13 - Weekly sabbaths, yearly (annual feasts), monthly (new moons)

2 Chronicles 31:3 - Weekly sabbaths, yearly (fixed festivals), monthly (new moons)

Nehemiah 10:33 - Weekly sabbaths, yearly (appointed times), monthly (new moon)

Isaiah 1:13-14 - Weekly sabbaths, yearly (appointed feasts), monthly (new moon)

Ezekiel 45:17 - Monthly (new moons), weekly (sabbaths), yearly (appointed feasts)

Ezekiel 46:1-11 - Weekly (sabbaths), monthly (new moons), yearly (appointed feasts)

Hosea 2:11 - Yearly (festal assemblies), monthly (new moons), weekly (sabbaths)

Galatians 4:10 - Years, months, days

Colossians 2:16 - Festival, new moon, Sabbath day

Why is there no command in the New Testament for Christians to keep the weekly sabbath day holy? Breaking the sabbath was punishable by death in the Old Testament (Exodus 31:14 & 35:2), so why is it not condemned in the New Testament? Various passages in the New Testament list numerous types of sinners who will not inherit the kingdom of God (1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Galatians 5:19-21, 1 Timothy 1:9-10, and Revelation 21:8 and 22:15), but none of those lists ever mention Sabbath-breakers. Why is that? 👀

This should be no surprise. SDA's have institutionalized deception.

One of the most ludicrous arguments that I have ever heard SDA's teach is that near the end of time the "mark of the best" of Revelation 14 will be placed upon those who worship on Sunday instead of Saturday.

The verses in question were about handwriting of ordinances. Meat and drink, new moons, and holy days.

If it was the 7th day weekly Sabbath why didn't Paul mention it? Or Make it clear?

It is clear for me.
But to those that are looking for excuses to not remember the Sabbath day their reasoning changes.

None of your verses prove anything.

Yearly monthly and weekly... no. Paul is talking about not judging meat and drink or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days.

They were Issues with the people in his day.
But Paul never states that the 4th commandment is void. Or any of the 10 commandments are made void. Why is that ?

You can presume to believe what you want. But Jesus is my example and He said He is the Lord of the Sabbath.

Yearly, monthly, weekly....

No because holidays were feasts and often had nothing to do with sabbaths.
The new moons had nothing to do with sabbaths but did have alot to do with ordinances that were kept.
And sabbath days were keep many times throughout the year as ordinances.

You said it proves to include the weekly sabbath. If Paul added that one word ....
Weekly ... I could not disagree with you.

But Paul didn't.
Not proven because the commandments are holy just and Good. In Roman 7.

But in Col 2 the ordinances are against us and contrary to us.

The 4th commandment is Holy Just and Good. So it can not be one of the ordinances talked about in Col 2.

The New Testament does not re-command every moral duty by repeating the exact Old Testament wording. That is the first problem. The NT never says, in those exact words, “Do not take God’s name in vain” either, yet no serious Christian argues blasphemy is now acceptable. The NT does not preserve morality by giving a new checklist of all Ten Commandments. It teaches righteousness through Christ, the Spirit, and the continuing authority of God’s commandments.

The second problem is that the sin lists are not exhaustive. Paul’s lists in 1 Corinthians 6, Galatians 5, and 1 Timothy 1 do not name every possible sin. They do not mention kidnapping in some lists, or idolatry in every list, or Sabbath-breaking, or many other sins by name. Their purpose is representative, not encyclopedic. So the argument “Sabbath-breaking is not listed, therefore it is no longer sin” is not proof of anything- not a strong argument.

In the New Testament, the issue is not treated as “which day do we stone people for violating?” The civil death penalty belonged to Israel’s national covenant system. The Church is not ancient Israel as a civil nation with judges, land boundaries, temple service, and capital penalties. So, Exodus 31:14 and 35:2 gave death penalties under Israel’s theocratic administration, but the New Testament Church is not commanded to execute idolaters, adulterers, rebellious sons, or Sabbath-breakers. That does not mean those sins became holy. It means the covenant administration changed. That distinction matters.

The Sabbath command itself was not merely a Jewish ceremonial shadow. It is rooted in creation before Sinai:

“God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it.” — Genesis 2:3

And Jesus said:

“The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.” — Mark 2:27

He did not say, “The Sabbath was made for the Jews only.” He placed it back at the level of mankind.

So why no direct NT command saying, “Christians must keep the weekly Sabbath holy”? Because the NT writers were not introducing the Sabbath as a new Christian practice. They inherited the Scriptures. The apostles already had the Ten Commandments as the moral law of God. What they corrected was the Pharisaic distortion of the Sabbath, not the Sabbath itself. Jesus healed on the Sabbath, taught on the Sabbath, corrected false Sabbath traditions, and declared Himself “Lord also of the Sabbath” — but He never abolished the day.

Also, Sabbath observance continues appearing naturally in the NT:

Jesus’ custom was to worship on the Sabbath:

“As His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day.” — Luke 4:16

Paul reasoned from Scripture on the Sabbath:

“Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three Sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures.” — Acts 17:2

Gentiles also heard the word on the Sabbath:

“The next Sabbath almost the whole city came together to hear the word of God.” — Acts 13:44

And Jesus, speaking of events decades after the cross, still said:

“Pray that your flight may not be in winter, neither on the Sabbath day.” — Matthew 24:20

That is hard to explain if the Sabbath was about to become meaningless at the cross.

The NT does not condemn Sabbath-breaking in the same explicit way it condemns adultery, theft, murder, fornication, drunkenness, and idolatry, but it does not prove abolition. It proves the NT is not treating the Sabbath as a civil death-penalty issue inside the Church. That is all.

The New Testament does not need to re-create the Sabbath command because God already created, blessed, and sanctified the seventh day. The cross removed the condemnation of sin, the temple shadows, and the civil penalties of Israel’s national covenant — but it did not give man authority to unsanctify what God sanctified.

Where does the NT say God removed His blessing from the seventh day, transferred its holiness to Sunday, or gave the Church authority to change the fourth commandment? That text does not exist.

One of the most ludicrous arguments that I have ever heard SDA's teach is that near the end of time the "mark of the best" of Revelation 14 will be placed upon those who worship on Sunday instead of Saturday.
Wait and see....
Exo 5:2 And Pharaoh said, Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go?
Pharaoh was so sure about his power and might that he would not listen.

When the laws start to slowly tell people that Sunday needs to be observed, the next thing will be a dislike for those that want to keep Saturday.

If laws are given to keep Sunday will you think any differently or will you be too proud to admit your wrong.

They laughed at Noah and thought he was crazy.
