Yearly, monthly, weekly....

No because holidays were feasts and often had nothing to do with sabbaths.
The new moons had nothing to do with sabbaths but did have alot to do with ordinances that were kept.
And sabbath days were keep many times throughout the year as ordinances.

You said it proves to include the weekly sabbath. If Paul added that one word ....
Weekly ... I could not disagree with you.

But Paul didn't.
Not proven because the commandments are holy just and Good. In Roman 7.

But in Col 2 the ordinances are against us and contrary to us.

The 4th commandment is Holy Just and Good. So it can not be one of the ordinances talked about in Col 2.
I proved my point but it's impossible to prove anything to someone whose mind is already made up otherwise.

Wait and see....
Exo 5:2 And Pharaoh said, Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go?
Pharaoh was so sure about his power and might that he would not listen.

When the laws start to slowly tell people that Sunday needs to be observed, the next thing will be a dislike for those that want to keep Saturday.

If laws are given to keep Sunday will you think any differently or will you be too proud to admit your wrong.

They laughed at Noah and thought he was crazy.
SDA propaganda.

The New Testament does not re-command every moral duty by repeating the exact Old Testament wording. That is the first problem. The NT never says, in those exact words, “Do not take God’s name in vain” either, yet no serious Christian argues blasphemy is now acceptable. The NT does not preserve morality by giving a new checklist of all Ten Commandments. It teaches righteousness through Christ, the Spirit, and the continuing authority of God’s commandments.

The second problem is that the sin lists are not exhaustive. Paul’s lists in 1 Corinthians 6, Galatians 5, and 1 Timothy 1 do not name every possible sin. They do not mention kidnapping in some lists, or idolatry in every list, or Sabbath-breaking, or many other sins by name. Their purpose is representative, not encyclopedic. So the argument “Sabbath-breaking is not listed, therefore it is no longer sin” is not proof of anything- not a strong argument.

In the New Testament, the issue is not treated as “which day do we stone people for violating?” The civil death penalty belonged to Israel’s national covenant system. The Church is not ancient Israel as a civil nation with judges, land boundaries, temple service, and capital penalties. So, Exodus 31:14 and 35:2 gave death penalties under Israel’s theocratic administration, but the New Testament Church is not commanded to execute idolaters, adulterers, rebellious sons, or Sabbath-breakers. That does not mean those sins became holy. It means the covenant administration changed. That distinction matters.

The Sabbath command itself was not merely a Jewish ceremonial shadow. It is rooted in creation before Sinai:

“God blessed the seventh day and sanctified it.” — Genesis 2:3

And Jesus said:

“The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath.” — Mark 2:27

He did not say, “The Sabbath was made for the Jews only.” He placed it back at the level of mankind.

So why no direct NT command saying, “Christians must keep the weekly Sabbath holy”? Because the NT writers were not introducing the Sabbath as a new Christian practice. They inherited the Scriptures. The apostles already had the Ten Commandments as the moral law of God. What they corrected was the Pharisaic distortion of the Sabbath, not the Sabbath itself. Jesus healed on the Sabbath, taught on the Sabbath, corrected false Sabbath traditions, and declared Himself “Lord also of the Sabbath” — but He never abolished the day.

Also, Sabbath observance continues appearing naturally in the NT:

Jesus’ custom was to worship on the Sabbath:

“As His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day.” — Luke 4:16

Paul reasoned from Scripture on the Sabbath:

“Paul, as his manner was, went in unto them, and three Sabbath days reasoned with them out of the scriptures.” — Acts 17:2

Gentiles also heard the word on the Sabbath:

“The next Sabbath almost the whole city came together to hear the word of God.” — Acts 13:44

And Jesus, speaking of events decades after the cross, still said:

“Pray that your flight may not be in winter, neither on the Sabbath day.” — Matthew 24:20

That is hard to explain if the Sabbath was about to become meaningless at the cross.

The NT does not condemn Sabbath-breaking in the same explicit way it condemns adultery, theft, murder, fornication, drunkenness, and idolatry, but it does not prove abolition. It proves the NT is not treating the Sabbath as a civil death-penalty issue inside the Church. That is all.

The New Testament does not need to re-create the Sabbath command because God already created, blessed, and sanctified the seventh day. The cross removed the condemnation of sin, the temple shadows, and the civil penalties of Israel’s national covenant — but it did not give man authority to unsanctify what God sanctified.

Where does the NT say God removed His blessing from the seventh day, transferred its holiness to Sunday, or gave the Church authority to change the fourth commandment? That text does not exist.
SDA eisegesis. Now although God's rest on the seventh day (Genesis 2:3) did foreshadow a future sabbath law, there is no Biblical record of the sabbath being kept before the children of Israel left the land of Egypt. *Nowhere in Scripture is there any hint that Sabbath keeping was practiced from Adam to Moses.

Now of course Jesus kept the Sabbath day. He was born under the law. Galatians 4:4 - But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son, born of a woman, born under the law, 5 to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. 👀

In regard to Acts 13:44 "reasoning in the synogue on the sabbath," Paul's work here was evangelism. Notice that these were "unbelievers" in Christ before Paul preached to them. Yes, they believed in the Jewish system, but the Bible says in Acts 14:1, that they BECAME believers proving Paul's work there was evangelism and not sabbath worship.

The Greeks were Jewish converts to Judaism known as proselytes. They practiced the law of Moses and kept the sabbath. The only Greeks that were in the synagogue would be these proselytes. These Greeks were not yet Christians. Acts 13:43 - "Now when the meeting of the synagogue had broken up, many of the Jews and of the God-fearing proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas, who, speaking to them, were urging them to continue in the grace of God."

Acts 14:1 - "In Iconium they entered the synagogue of the Jews together and spoke in such a manner that a large number of people believed, both of Jews and of Greeks."

Acts 17:4 - "And some of them were persuaded and joined Paul and Silas, along with a large number of the God-fearing Greeks and a number of the leading women.

Acts 18:4 - "And he was reasoning in the synagogue every Sabbath and trying to persuade Jews and Greeks."

In regard to Matthew 24:20, how about a little context. Matthew 24:16 - “then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains. 17 Let him who is on the housetop not go down to take anything out of his house. 18 And let him who is in the field not go back to get his clothes. 19 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 20 And pray that your flight may not be in winter or on the Sabbath. Praying that "your flight not be on the Sabbath or winter" in verse 20 has to do with "let those in Judea flee" in verse 16. Matthew 24:20 applies to those living in Judea.

Travel for pregnant and nursing women would be very difficult. Winter cold would make travel extremely difficult along with closed city gates, laws against carrying loads, laws against traveling more than a short distance, laws against buying and selling on the Sabbath. The only reasonable explanation of Jesus' reference to the Sabbath here is that He was concerned with the difficulties these Israelites who still keep the law would face if they were forced to leave Judea on the Sabbath day.

I never said anything about God transferring holiness from Saturday to Sunday. Typical SDA straw man argument. You seem to have an issue with mixing the old and new covenants. Christian's worship God on Sunday because Christ rose from the dead on Sunday. False religion turns shadows and symbols of salvation into the substance and the source.

Jesus is my example and He said He is the Lord of the Sabbath.

Jesus is my Sabbath rest.
:)

Christians find their 'sabbatismos' rest in Christ ✝️ (Hebrews 4:9) in contrast with the Israelites keeping the weekly Sabbath day under the law. (Exodus 31:12-17; Deuteronomy 5:1-15)
Putting oneself under the law is not what Christianity is supposed to be about and is actually spoken against in Scripture. I keep seeing the Sabbatarians chop the law into pieces when it is in FACT a whole, and to break one part of it is breaking it all, so they are not the law keepers they want to delusionally believe they are, especially when some of them are continually bearing false witness.

People are often connecting the sabbath with the Jews so they can ignore it.

But it is ‘the Sabbath unto the Lord’, not the Sabbath of the Jews. Never, not even
once, is the Sabbath referred to in the Bible as the Jewish Sabbath or the Sabbath of the Jews.

It is always the Lord’s Sabbath:
• Sabbath rest, a holy Sabbath unto the Lord (Ex 16:23)
• ‘the Sabbath of the Lord your God’ (Exodus 20:11)
• ‘you shall keep my Sabbaths’ (Ezekiel 20:12, 20)
• God refers to it as ‘my holy day’ (Isaiah 58:13, 14)
• Jesus proclaimed Himself the Lord of the Sabbath (Mark 2:27)

It is undeniable that, according to Exodus 31, God gave the Sabbath to Israel as an everlasting covenant. However, the text does not say that He gave it exclusively to Israel. God gave it to Israel because they were His people at that time, but it does not follow that it applied only to them. God gave all Ten Commandments to Israel. In fact, the
prologue to the Ten Commandments in Exodus 20:1, 2 gives the deliverance of Israel from bondage as the reason for them to keep the commandments.
“And God spoke all these words, saying: “I am the Lord your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.”
Does this mean that all Ten Commandments applied only to the Jews? Of course not! They were given to Israel because they were God’s people at that time.

Jesus said the sabbath was made for man

Not once in the bible does it say the "sabbath for the Jews".

So let's follow the bible.

The sabbath for mankind. It was made for all.

The Jewish Sabbath does not exist.

I don't obsess about it. I just say obey it.
Because God said to obey it.

The church managed for hundreds of years until Martin Luther stood up for the truth. And until people protested against the false teachings.

There are many churches managing today but teaching false doctrines.

Jesus caused problems when He taught the truth.
And many prophets have been killed for teaching the truth. John the baptist...

Mat 10:22 And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.
Joh 15:18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.
Martin Luther gave us knowledge of the freedom in christ we have been given. I don't need a church directing faith or actions. I can read and comprehend. If I can't, I can ask a friend, a minister, or read the Bible myself or all of these options.

Yes, but the sabbath was not mandated to gentiles, thus there is no basis for a Gentile converts to observe it. Knowing or rest is in jesus
I am a child of God
Through Christ I'm adopted into The Family.
I'm no longer a gentile but an Israelite by faith.
Graffed into the olive tree. Rom 11:24 For if thou wert cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and wert graffed contrary to nature into a good olive tree: how much more shall these, which be the natural branches, be graffed into their own olive tree?

You're missing my point we all come from somewhere, I used to be a gentile before I was converted to Christianity, therefore I could be turned a gentile convert.

And those that have not converted are still Gentiles so therefore there are a division of people called Gentiles and there are a division of people called Jews.

only in Jesus is there not that Division I am simply pointing out that I am from the Gentile mindset that never had the law in the first place. I'm not suggesting there are still Jews and Gentiles under Jesus

Yes, pointing forward to the rest from works we find in Christ.

No matter where we are from both Jews and Gentiles are graffed into the same family.

We are all one in Christ.

Regardless of the past we are one in Christ.

As one family we all have the same Lord.
The Lord of the Sabbath.

Read Romans 2:20-29
Rom 2:15 (gentiles) Which shew the work of the law written in their hearts, their conscience also bearing witness, and their thoughts the mean while accusing or else excusing one another;)
Rom 2:28 For he is not a Jew, which is one outwardly; neither is that circumcision, which is outward in the flesh:
God judges the heart. He wants to write the law on all hearts..

Heb 8:10 For this is the covenant.....I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts:....

And yet again this is proof that those of you who like to impose the Sabbath into our lives do not understand the Mosaic law the people that was given to the duration for which it was to exist and it's purpose

As a direct result of not understanding the Mosaic law you could never understand the New Covenant under Christ and his work on the cross

It's a hilarious tragedy to watch you people post on this subject because it's all proving you don't know what you're talking about

In Exodus 31:12-17, God established the seventh day as a "sign" that Israel was His uniquely set-apart and sanctified people. [1, 2]

Jesus Christ dude I am not disagreeing with you I was once a gentile and now I am a part of the body Christ I understand that but I was a gentile what part of that don't you understand and therefore I am a gentile convert as a opposed to a Jewish convert

And as this relates to the Mosaic law or any part of it because I come from a gentile background it was never part of my life and never will be other than the I fulfill it by loving God and loving my neighbor that is why I specified that I came from a gentile background not that I think I am a gentile now
