i don't understand what you mean, are you saying it will bother most guys? And there are only a few who wouldn't be bothered?
I'm saying that there are a few who are OK with it...but of those who are, at least half will become unable to be ok with it due to their wife's behavior.

Oh so you do think it's a dealbreaker for most guys? And obviously I wouldn't torment him with it, there are plenty of guys who are smarter than me but just choose a less well paying field (like science). Or is it different when the guy also has multiple degrees but just a less paying field than what you mentioned before, a lot of guys don't have a degree? What do you think?

My 3rd wife listed my height as one of the reasons she wanted to leave me. Somehow it wasn't a problem when she decided to marry me. FWIW, I did not get any shorter, and she did not get any taller. Unfortunately I've never been in a relationship where the woman made more money than me. I'd certainly be ok with that.

Oh I'm sorry that that happened to you, she might've been making excuses to cover her bad behavior? (I don't know ofcourse since I don't know your story but it is weird she suddenly mentioned that)

If I were you, I wouldn't worry about this at all. During his incarnation, there were women who ministered to Jesus of their substance. Luke 8:1-3. It didn't seem to bother him, and he is the ideal man and the one who truly provides for us all. Maybe this is not the perfect analogy, but there are much more important things in life to concern one's self with than another person's salary.

Money is never supposed to be the reasoning for your relationship. If you got some problem with money, then, I am sorry for you.
It's about SEX.

So what is your cut-off salary for potential suitors? IOWs do you have any income or job history standards for the men who may be interested in courtship? Your reproductive window is ticking if you want children and females are pushed to get college degrees spending their reproductive yrs sitting on their backsides being brainwashed by left wing Professors. Then they reach their 30s and compete with 20-something females for alpha males.

Student loan debt? Do you own property?
Actually it can be a problem for men being at a financial disadvantage increases the already high risk of marriage. Disposable husbands and no-fault divorce and all that. You are also risking losing your property in a divorce. Hope it works out for you. Actually my income dropped and am paying less taxes as a result than in my high-income years. Of course, in my high-income years, money was spent on lawyers and child support from divorce, so that wiped me out. Single and happy now. High income can be mitigated by where you live since it is far more expensive in some places than others.
Hi I'm sorry I replied so late, I didn't see your comment.
I don't really have a minimum salary tbh. I don't think my reproductive window is any of your business but I am 23 so I think I'm fine. My professors aren't left wing at all. I also don't want an "alpha" male.
I never had any debt because I'm not from the US. No I don't own property yet.
I don't completely understand your next point, sorry, but I seem to understand you mean women with a higher salary often divorce men when they have a lower salary. If that is what you mean, I would not divorce a man because of that.

Oh uh personally I don't believe relationships are mostly about that but I do think attraction is important. But it's not the reasoning in a (Christian) relationship (usually)

Isn't the US debt in the trillions?
Couldn't Elon Muskrat pay it all off? I mean that would be the chivalrous thing to do right?

IG it's because I see a lot of Christians saying a woman should stay at home more and that the man should be the provider, which leads to them saying men should earn more because otherwise he isn't a provider.
think of all the talent God gave to women. they have been oppressed & suppressed for centuries. that idea that women should stay home is old fashioned & now-a-days, nonsense.

The real question is do women dislike men who have a low salary.

Everybody needs contribution, but sometimes life changes. I'm highly educated and a pretty interesting guy, but my finances have changed dramatically due to life changes.

Lol!

I've had the honor of spending time in real life with The Infamous Cinder over several meetups.

Don't tell her that I spilled this top secret information, but I know the real way to her heart.

It involves furry ears, four paws, and a healthy bark... 🐕

But don't tell her I said anything. 😬😎🤐
Well, I don't plan to become a "furry" anytime soon. Even if I do have a hairy chest.

I do like dogs, but I've never had one. Kind of dog does she have?

I think most women with high salary don't mind tbh, at least I don't

David and his men received provisions from Abigail. 1 Samuel 25:14-35.

The prophet Elisha received the provisions of bread and lodging from a woman. 2 Kings 4:8-11.

Again, look to Jesus. He became poor that we might inherit eternal riches. The way that a godly man provides is not limited to finances, and it often has nothing to do with finances at all.

That's a very interesting comment to me. I would like to know anybody who would say that attraction is not important. If attraction is not important how do you come together? I guess I'm a little slow since I taught about magnetism in science this past year and perhaps the metaphor doesn't translate.

Proverbs 31:30

30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.

No I never said attraction isn't important, I said the opposite actually. I said it is important but not the most important at all. And the first part of my comment was referring to the guy who said that sex was the most important.
