Oh, but I never said that we will or will not go to heaven if we fail to keep them? But that is much different than the question, “should we obey His 10 Commandments?”

Paul means that Christ is the fulfillment, goal, and righteous completion of the law, so that righteousness is given to every believer through Him rather than earned through law-keeping.

So the law is not the Savior. Christ is. And, the law can reveal sin, the law can define righteousness, the law can point forward to Messiah, but the law cannot justify the sinner or give life apart from Christ.
Well in my mind I know God does not want me to steal, commit adultery, murder, take His name in vain, and in my heart I do not want to do those things for that is where the law now is. Does that answer your question?
I never think of words ten commandments concerning those things, they are simply part of my spiritual dna in christ

I

If the law is in your mind, why is it not instinctively known?
Should you not know in your mind what is in your mind?

Paul says there is a law of the mind, but also another principle at work in the flesh. So the law being in the mind does not mean there is no struggle, no growth, and no need for teaching.

If the renewed mind automatically knew everything instinctively, that command would make little sense, and there would be no need to write Romans 12:2.

Did you have to read a bible to know God does not want you to steal, murder, commit adultery, take His name in vain, covet?

You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts. 2Cor3:3

A man may not consciously think “law of gravity” every time he walks, but he is still living within its reality. Likewise, a believer may not consciously think “sixth commandment” every time he rejects hatred or murder, but he is still agreeing with God’s revealed righteousness.

Well the reason Paul keeps insisting you cannot be righteous by obeying the law is primarily because of the ten commandments
He referred to that law as 'the letter that kills, the ministry of death and condemnation'
And when he stated the believer dies to the law in order to bear fruit for God, they are released from it and serve in the new way of the spirit not the old way of the written code, he gave one of the ten commandments as an example of what he was writing about

If I may, I thought the discussion was whether the 10 commandments were done away with rather than where they are written by God?

What is written in nine of the ten commandments is now in the hearts and minds of believers, righteousness of obeying that law has been done away with

Just asking that question as you queried if God's laws were instinctively known
I don’t believe I ever asked that question… I believe you offered that comment about the law being “instinctive.”

Are the 10 commandments still to be obeyed?

Not as a written law no, Ive already quoted 2Cor3:3 to you. The believer knows in their mind the basics of how God wants them to live for that is where what is written in the law now is, and in their hearts they want to see that law reflected in their life, for what was written in the law is now in their hearts

I didn’t ask or imply that “righteousness” could ever be obtained through obeying the 10 commandments - before or after the cross. We can’t!

I asked if we are to still keep His 10 commandments. Not 9 but all 10.

The words ten commandments are old covenant, not new!!
God desires us to follow what is written in our minds and placed on our hearts. That is reflected in our lives by looking away from ourselves and to Christ, trusting him and relying on the sanctification of the Spirit. The more we do this the more the fruits of the spirit grow in our lives(Gal5:22) Against that fruit there is no law(verse23) For that fruit is the embodiment of how God wants us to live our lives

I think I will move on but thanks.

I thought you were moving on
If you are referring to Matt19, that is when the old covenant was in operation!
You will not find anywhere in scripture in the new covenant era the words ten commandments mentioned
When the young man asked Jesus the question, why did he not respond with John3:16
Safe to say because he knew him before he asked the question. The young man thought he obeyed the ten commandments, but it turned out he did not obey the greatest commandment of all

Are we asked by Jesus to obey His 10 (not 9) commandments?
BTW
As you are itching for a response:

One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind. Rom14:5
